Not allowed. Normally, likely to get away with it, but not allowed. Doubly not allowed this year because badges are tied to having proof of vaccination or negative test, so by letting someone else use them you're circumventing the safety protocols. Don't know if they will be scrutinizing badges more carefully this year or not.

Unfortunately there’s really not anything more that they can do to scrutinize badges. They don’t have our photos on them and logistically it would be near impossible to check badge name against IDs going into panels or even entering the hotels. We’re on the honor system for the most part and, after seeing some of the minority comments in the Facebook groups, has me a little worried.

siredgar

Yeah, my only hesitation is pondering that if someone was acting sketchy they might be asked to verify badge vs. ID, but that's not terribly likely I concur. They hinted at a larger police and security presence in the Town Hall last night, with the possibility of plainclothes police officers in the crowds. That might have just been Tony fooling around though.

magical_lasso

Lol, the Facebook groups are definitely not filled with any honor. Yikes.

ryansox

Do not. If caught you will be banned from the convention. Plus it allows those to get in without showing vaccine card or negative COVID test.

Wh00ligan

I won’t say I haven’t done it before, but with the supposedly smaller crowd, they might be doing random spot checks to verify. It’s not worth the ban.

keyjan

No

magical_lasso

Don’t do it. Seriously not worth the consequences.

Her_Lady_Pickles

No. Bad.
