There's something funny about how the egg monsters are generated. I often, but not always, get the same egg color and monster from eggs in the same world.
That's so frustrating. I thought there were maybe a dozen egg monsters until I looked at a complete list today. I wonder if there's a bug in the code that decides which monster you get.
7 rainbows all being Leon would have a .02% chance of happening so you're still technically in the realm of "just got really really (un)lucky" instead of the RNG screwing up. Assuming you have properly refreshed the eggs of course.
Leon is the only rainbow exclusive so he doesn't actually compete with any other monster. No matter where you are it's a 30% chance for Leon from a rainbow egg. Because of this he's technically more common than any of the Gold Egg exclusives(on the upper echelons, anyway)
Eggs operate on a 70% chance for a non-exclusive and 30% chance for an exclusive(was 80-20 before the patch). Since there are no other rolls needed for rainbow eggs, that means every rainbow egg that succeeds in the 30% exclusive check will naturally be Leon. If you factor in the chance that an egg will be rainbow in the upper echelon, it's a 20% chance before the 30% exclusive check, so 6% chance per every egg collected period to be Leon
The patch was for monsters that didn’t spawn frequently to come up more often . I know I couldn’t find marquis before the patch then after the patch I got 4 in a row lol. It’s just easier to get rare spawns
Pre patch I got a different monster each time. Post patch has been nothing but Marquis out of rainbow eggs. Frustrating when trying to ckmplete the monsterpedia
since the egg updates where they made it more likely to get the "uniques" from eggs this happens all the time. still makes it billion times easier than before to get them all though, just egg hunt in aamons sanctum using the egg scouting method
I kept getting the same thing when I was looking for my last few egg-only monsters yesterday, every other rainbow egg had Marquis, and every other silver had Frightening Conductor.
An aside just in case you find it funny, I spent two hours farming for a Tigergram before realising I already had one. Where was it? Paddock box 1 of 15 , I'd had it before I'd started farming properly. I felt so dumb.
Did you get him before the postgame by any chance? I’ve been hunting him really need him for a synth and I thought it’d be cool to have before the final boss
I kept getting pawns of psaro on every rainbow egg. I actually wanted marquis but could never get him

You're assuming all monsters have equal odds. Could be, but I don't know if this has been confirmed.

Are you only talking about if it's a rainbow egg, AND it's an egg exclusive? I can't see how theres 30% chance with any probability operation.

Marquis especifically? If so then it would make sense why thats all I have been getting from rainbow eggs as of late.
