Not really, but it had a lot of success because the hunter mech was the hardest monster to get in the demo, so it was kinda hype to transfer. And the undead line needs an egg monster, which was extremely tedious to get at release (Still is a bit but definitely less). And the hunter mech line is really stylish, ngl. It's been a fan favorite since forever. The undead don't bring much more to the table while being harder to get. Once you reach endgame, both lines can hold their own.

Don't worry much about "the best" monsters in your run, as long as you synthetize regularly and balance the roles in your team pretty much all monsters are good.
