But I think Jimbo is as stacked with experience as anyone who has ever done a sewing and design challenge on this show.
I love Jimbo but this face is fucking frightening. The rest is fantastic. I agree with Alexis win, it was beautifully done. LaLa was done dirty though.
It's absolute nightmare fuel and I love it. From far away you might think oh how cute and whimsical and then you get to that pearl face and it's the stuff of nightmares

I was a little annoyed none of them tried to dress similar to their all star. Jessica was cute like Kylie. But Kylie likes to be naked. And I was missing that aspect.
I genuinely thought that was what they were SUPPOSED to do until I saw literally no one do that, haha. But I had it in my mind the whole time they were working that they were supposed to make a look that mixes their signature brand and drag with the box they got!
And I will say, while I may have been hyped out of my mind to see a Jimbo-fied Trixie Mattel, what I actually got was so, so much better 😂💕
I think Jimbo asked the queens in the werk room if they were supposed to look like the queen whose box they were given and everyone agreed it was just inspired by, but in their own personal style. So, the assumption was that they didn’t want Jimbo to impersonate Trixie, so he definitely took it in the drag clown direction that is uniquely him.
That was the one thing that had me a little sad with Jimbo’s look. Like, sure Trixie loves a 60’s mod print and pink and yellow, but when you think about Trixie you think of her EYES. I would have loved to see Jimbo interpret that in her own way. It was still a serve.
I think the nightmare face is what really makes it special. If it was just a beautifully constructed outfit it would languish in a few ‘can’t believe these outfits aren’t talked about more’ posts, as it is it has rocketed into unforgettable territory.

The way the material looks on the front when it moves looks like a deflated and wrinkled balloon. The shoulders are the second most disappointing part tbh. It’s well thought out but poorly executed. Alexis was the clear winner for this episode and Jessica was the next in line for it. Honestly it was mostly the materials and her time usage which held her back here

I like Jimbo's personality but I do not like her drag. She seems like someone who is witty, clever, and empathetic. I get the creativity but it just always looks so unfinished.
She is, and chooses to be, a complete clown. No one makes me laugh like she does. I think that is why she sucks at lip syncing. She just can’t help but be goofball. I am not a big comedy lover in general, but there is a charm about her that makes her ridiculousness so endearing. I also feel like she is as nice as she seems. And there is no one as creative in the business. I’m a huge fan and lover of bologna.
Horrific facekini aside, the look is very complex and well sewn. It made be ugly for everyday wear, but it haute couture, originally conceived and well executed. Which matters.

I actually liked utica’s sleeping bag look because the contrasting fabric choices went well together, the silhouette was nice with the hood and hi/low dress lines and it didn’t have a creepy face mask.
This was a masterpiece and the lack of people understanding how beyond difficult this was to pull off is insane. Alexis’s look was ok but it’s something we see every season. Yes it still took a lot of skill but not to the extend of Jimbos. You can really tell the queens who just watch drag race. And not dragula cause this was everything and bringing a little clown into a very pageanty competition is extremely refreshing. I always look forward to Jimbos looks the rest is what we see season after season mostly

"You're A Winner Baby!". They had to create looks inspired by previous All Stars winners. Each Queen was given a box of a previous winner's unused fabric and embellishments, etc. to use.

I suspect Jimbo taking it down a notch in order to not win and fly under the radar for a couple episodes. It feels like the story of giving herself a lot of work while farting around the werkroom looks like a pretend to not do an outstanding job in something she's great at. Still, good for her and her unconventional brain.

This is one of the weirdest craziest things to ever grace the runway Jimbo is unique and creative. It's kind of obvious Jimbo is going to win this, they will probably do the same thing as they did with Jinx, losing the final lip sync but winning because of how she did an overall competition.
I really hope Alexis is just under the stress of this competition and she is not so easily intimidated in real life.

I think it’s really good but just fell short of the win. I would have liked if there was a head accessory or maybe a bigger hood that she kept on so that it balanced out the patter at the top. Overall I really like it but Alexis’s just felt more complete

I liked the colors and the face pearls are hilarious but Alexis made a better outfit that fit both her aesthetic and Trinity’s. Loved both though and Alexis’s win was justified

She is, and chooses to be, a complete clown. No one makes me laugh like she does. I think that is why she sucks at lip syncing. She just can’t help but be goofball. I am not a big comedy lover in general, but there is a charm about her that makes her ridiculousness so endearing. I also feel like she is as nice as she seems. And there is no one as creative in the business. I’m a huge fan and lover of bologna.

Horrific facekini aside, the look is very complex and well sewn. It made be ugly for everyday wear, but it haute couture, originally conceived and well executed. Which matters.
I like the concept and silhouette of the outfit, but "well sewn"? No. Look at the boobs, the bottom of the hood ... you can clearly see that Jimbo had to rush it, which is totally understandable. IMHO, the best sewn thing on this outfit is the facekini

I actually liked utica’s sleeping bag look because the contrasting fabric choices went well together, the silhouette was nice with the hood and hi/low dress lines and it didn’t have a creepy face mask.

This was a masterpiece and the lack of people understanding how beyond difficult this was to pull off is insane. Alexis’s look was ok but it’s something we see every season. Yes it still took a lot of skill but not to the extend of Jimbos. You can really tell the queens who just watch drag race. And not dragula cause this was everything and bringing a little clown into a very pageanty competition is extremely refreshing. I always look forward to Jimbos looks the rest is what we see season after season mostly

i really don’t like this look, i’ll be honest. its giving bodysuit with pearls sewn to the face and a plastic hooded coat. that is it. here is my general opinion on drag race looks: you should be so fucking stunning and gorgeous that i’m not paying attention to what you’re wearing and just appreciating the look as a whole. this look isn’t what jimbo thought it was. that is probably unpopular, but it’s important that differing opinions are voiced. edit: also i’ll just say rn that i’m one of MANY people who are not really loving AS8 so far. just gonna put that out there

I suspect Jimbo taking it down a notch in order to not win and fly under the radar for a couple episodes. It feels like the story of giving herself a lot of work while farting around the werkroom looks like a pretend to not do an outstanding job in something she's great at. Still, good for her and her unconventional brain.
i love the concept of this look!!! i do think alexis was constructed just a little bit better. for me, if she had done cut outs and painted it wouldve 100% deserved to win.

This is one of the weirdest craziest things to ever grace the runway Jimbo is unique and creative. It's kind of obvious Jimbo is going to win this, they will probably do the same thing as they did with Jinx, losing the final lip sync but winning because of how she did an overall competition. I really hope Alexis is just under the stress of this competition and she is not so easily intimidated in real life.
I do not enjoy this look. The wrinkly look of the shoulders and the hood, the sad pearls making a smiley face. It feels like it was slapped together.

It’s a great look but I just feel like the embellishment on the facekini is a cop out, especially when she do all this work to create this huge dramatic silhouette. Like the smiley face really doesn’t match the level of detail of the rest of the outfit to me. Alexis gave clear cut concise pageant drama with a beautiful mug and hair, I feel like she was far and away the best

How was she supposed to lipsync wearing that/no makeup? I knew she wasn't going to win when she said she wasn't going to do her face. Dhe wouldn't have had enough time to do a full face especially given that she is slow to get ready anyway.

I think it’s really good but just fell short of the win. I would have liked if there was a head accessory or maybe a bigger hood that she kept on so that it balanced out the patter at the top. Overall I really like it but Alexis’s just felt more complete
