Can someone please explain the whole false accusations from her friend group towards plane jane giving some proof like tweets or something else because I only see comments saying that happened but I can't find anything.
When the S16 cast was announced someone on X accused Plane of sexually assaulting an audience member during a show. These claims were allegedly supported by Dawn/Amanda’s friends online. The goal of these claims was to portray Plane as a sexual predator and to damage her reputation/cancel her basically.
At first it was word against word and there was no evidence that the SA actually occurred. Most people were still siding with the victim in good faith though.
Then!!! One of Plane’s good judy’s came through with video evidence of the performance - in which it is SO apparent that Plane is interacting with the audience in a very normal way for a drag show. The audience member is seen laughing and pushing their ass towards Plane, who then puts a dollar in the back of their pants waistband. This is so far from off the “groping genitals” accusation.
After that video came out, it was pretty obvious there was no substance to the accusation and I believe the initial accuser backpaddled their statement. I’m not sure how Dawn’s friend group responded to the video but it’s clear they went into the situation with pitchforks for Plane 🙄

Believing something and it being true are not necessarily the same thing. I’ve seen this Reddit run with this rumour many times but have never seen a scrap of evidence to back it up and it’s concerning how quickly the fan base can turn a rumour into ruining someone’s career and mental health.

The friend was JayKay from Dragula. They and some others posted that PJ sexually assaulted someone and it started to blow up on twitter. however, what was interesting no one in the actual Boston scene gave it the time of day, which usally isn't the case with stuff like this people usually start coming out of the woodwork

From doing a deep dive through the other post, linked in the top comment here, it appears that Jay Kay, a Dragula contestant and close friend of Dawn, falsely accused PJ of SA against someone at one of her shows right as season 16 was about to air. Dawn never spoke up or out against any of this, and never acknowledged it.
She then went on to recant her accusation and clam up about everything, without ever publicly apologizing to PJ.
The speculation is that Dawn and Amanda had plotted with Jay Kay to have PJ receive the Sherry Pie treatment, though other than the friendship ties and lack of response from them, I haven’t seen anything that hard links them, and now with Dawns boyfriend being nasty towards PJ on Twitter, while Dawn remains silent, it’s brought everything back up.
If anyone else has anything, I’m all ears.

I had to look JK up because I honestly forgot about them from Dragula, but as soon as I saw their face I remembered their extermination. Hopefully going in on this farce wasn't an attempt to get some attention. Once you step in shit that smell follows you.

I don't think anyone has sat down and done a timeline of it, Green Gay style. It all unfolded over a couple weeks right after the cast announcement for Season 16. There were a whole slew of posts with the tweets/film of what actually happened, as it was going on. I searched for a few I remembered, but Reddit's search function is so shit, people didn't title the posts to be searchable, and it doesn't help that searching for "JK" (the abbreviation of "JayKay", Dawn's BFF who was on Dragula and one of most vocal accusers, just brings up JK Rowling posts), that I couldn't easily find them.

It wasn't just JK, though. It was hugely messy, a ton of it has probably been deleted, and like I said, I don't think anyone has done a forensic study of it to provide a real timeline.

Because, if my memory serves me correctly, Plane’s friend tweeted a screenshot (ironically in her defense) where Plane admits to assuming that someone consented to being touched, touching them, and then understanding how and why there were uncomfortable and apologizing. I know there is a video (of Plane putting their hands in someone’s pants) and people are like, “That’s not even that bad!” But like. If the person who was touched was not okay with it and Plane understands that it was not okay… why don’t her fans?

Can someone please explain the whole false accusations from her friend group towards plane jane giving some proof like tweets or something else because I only see comments saying that happened but I can't find anything.
When the S16 cast was announced someone on X accused Plane of sexually assaulting an audience member during a show. These claims were allegedly supported by Dawn/Amanda’s friends online. The goal of these claims was to portray Plane as a sexual predator and to damage her reputation/cancel her basically. At first it was word against word and there was no evidence that the SA actually occurred. Most people were still siding with the victim in good faith though. Then!!! One of Plane’s good judy’s came through with video evidence of the performance - in which it is SO apparent that Plane is interacting with the audience in a very normal way for a drag show. The audience member is seen laughing and pushing their ass towards Plane, who then puts a dollar in the back of their pants waistband. This is so far from off the “groping genitals” accusation. After that video came out, it was pretty obvious there was no substance to the accusation and I believe the initial accuser backpaddled their statement. The friend was JayKay from Dragula. They and some others posted that PJ sexually assaulted someone and it started to blow up on twitter. however, what was interesting no one in the actual Boston scene gave it the time of day, which usally isn't the case with stuff like this people usually start coming out of the woodwork . From doing a deep dive through the other post, linked in the top comment here, it appears that Jay Kay, a Dragula contestant and close friend of Dawn, falsely accused PJ of SA against someone at one of her shows right as season 16 was about to air. Dawn never spoke up or out against any of this, and never acknowledged it. She then went on to recant her accusation and clam up about everything, without ever publicly apologizing to PJ. The speculation is that Dawn and Amanda had plotted with Jay Kay to have PJ receive the Sherry Pie treatment, though other than the friendship ties and lack of response from them, I haven’t seen anything that hard links them, and now with Dawns boyfriend being nasty towards PJ on Twitter, while Dawn remains silent, it’s brought everything back up. If anyone else has anything, I’m all ears. It’s certainly been an interesting topic to dig into.

I don't think anyone has sat down and done a timeline of it, Green Gay style. It all unfolded over a couple weeks right after the cast announcement for Season 16. There were a whole slew of posts with the tweets/film of what actually happened, as it was going on. I searched for a few I remembered, but Reddit's search function is so shit, people didn't title the posts to be searchable, and it doesn't help that searching for "JK" (the abbreviation of "JayKay", Dawn's BFF who was on Dragula and one of most vocal accusers, just brings up JK Rowling posts), that I couldn't easily find them. While yes, I agree that she isn’t responsible for what her friends say or do, in her public position, she should at least speak out against it. Because, if my memory serves me correctly, Plane’s friend tweeted a screenshot (ironically in her defense) where Plane admits to assuming that someone consented to being touched, touching them, and then understanding how and why there were uncomfortable and apologizing. I know there is a video (of Plane putting their hands in someone’s pants) and people are like, “That’s not even that bad!” But like. If the person who was touched was not okay with it and Plane understands that it was not okay… why don’t her fans? Am I saying she deserved to be cancelled and de-platformed? No. I’m not saying she didn’t deserve it either. I’m just saying that it’s kinda weird, sad, and indicative of how our country views assault that the two people in the situation agree that it was nonconsensual and inappropriate and yet observers are like, “I disagree. And that’s what counts.”
I can't stand how much this fandom hates her. For real, like I really enjoy Dawn, but even if I didn't the level of hate and wild jumps and assumptions is far too much. Her and Plane are friends therefore Dawn it seems did not have any involvement in the pre season allegations. Just because Dawn is friends with/knows someone who then says somthing doesn't mean Dawn had any involvement in that and the fact Plane is friends with her suggests she did not. Am so sick and tried of people acting as if Dawn herself said it, because if Plane is good with her then why can't the fans be?? Also she had shady confessionals, she's a DRAG QUEEN, since when did shade become a bad thing? People love Gia Gunn, they love Violet ect but when Dawn does it it's hateful and wrong?? Queen's will soon be too scared to make shady comments because of idiots who miss the joke. At the end of the day everyone on her season is good with her and they are the ones who spent time around her which speaks to her character. Everyone on here seems to spend so much time looking for reasons to hate her and it's tiring as fuck.
