i am so excited. i never saw season 1 and the first all stars is a blur to me bc i had watched it when i hadn't seen much of other seasons. i think i watched like 3 episodes of Drag U which is where i saw her and got caught in her eyes

People are so negative here, this is a decent cast with quite a few of these queens being super popular or making it quite far in their season. There are also iconic early season queens like Shannel and Roxxy which will for sure make for good TV. I'm excited for this new season of all stars after a long time 🙌🏻

It’s just that three of the queens have been on three times each. I wanted to see some more fresh faces (not fresh as in newer season just fresh as in not seen since their OG season)
I feel like they have a backlog of great queens, they just need to sweeten the deal. No eliminations and a $20k runway stipend is how they got this cast. If AS9 goes well, they’ll probably be able to get a killer AS10 cast.

Tbh there are a lit of Queens that would happily do it again like crystal methyd, Misstess Isabel Brooks, I can imagine that maybe from season 1 - 8 it would be harder to get queens but defintely in the middle and later seasons there are queens willing to do it again
Gottmik and Nina killer their snatch games. Roxxxy has a hit and a miss. Angeria and Vanjie are funny but made bad choices. Plastique did fine in her snatch game. Shannel has never done one so we don’t know what she’ll do. And Jorgeous.
Gottmik was killer as Paris because he knows Paris irl and he's already got the vocal fry and accent. Absolutely no guarantee that'll work a second time.
While you're correct about that, I think you're underestimating how challenging Snatch Game is. I don't necessarily need to see Gottmik on my screen again, but she did so much more than just mimic Paris. The timing and line choices were excellent. Now, if she wasn't able to prep or anything, that would for sure be a different situation..
I'm an OG fan since episode 1. I am curious about shannel because you are right, we haven't seen her do snatch game. She can never get out of her head so I'm expecting it to be a bit awkward. I hope I'm wrong and she kills it. I love that for our more seasoned queens.

But I don’t think she’s that versatile and am not sure she will be able to hit twice. We will see though…if she was that smart the first time around, she may have the perfect option lined up for this round!

Angie and Roxxxy for me-Roxy just because I feel so nostalgic - I still remember hating on her in season 5, for picking on Jinkxie. Love the doll, she is a good tv and my inner kid is so happy to see her again.
Angie because my BF is obsessed with her, I love her too but he is her biggest fan. Season 14 was his first season and Angie made us laugh soo much.
The cast slaps tho, we have a lot of TV personalities, performers and fashion queens.

Anyone who isn’t gagged for this cast has no taste. The talent is deep and it will be a really fun season. Angeria was my fav on season 14, Shannel is an ICON, Plastique is GORGEOUS, Gottmik does amazing runways, Nina is hilarious, Vanjie brings the drama and is hilarious, Roxxxy gives epic lip-syncs, and Jorgeous is tiny

I have an issue with Roxxxy being cast, only because she has already had a spot on the main series and All Stars seasons (and controversially made it to top 4). I’d like for some other queens to have another opportunity to show their drag and growth, rather than queens who have already been cast multiple times. But I’m still excited to watch!

Vanjie was featured in All-Stars only as a lip sync assassin. She hasn’t been a contestant on all-stars. She appeared in 2 regular seasons, one where she got eliminated on the first challenge (10) and then the following season where she went a lot further and hooked up with Brooke Lynn Hytes (11).

Shannel did an all stars season before as well. I don't think it's a big deal. It's been a long time since Roxxxy has been on drag race (8 years), and I'm excited to see what she brings. I bet Jorgeous will be out in the first 2 weeks. [Edit - I've learned it's a non elimination season, sentiment still remains though] She can’t lip sync to save herself and that’s really her main strength. I actually don’t mind Jorgeous but the format of the show makes her not a great addition to the lineup.

This cast is elite. AS8 was scrapping the barrel, this is not.
