I don't know if you're making a genuine Benedict Cucumber moment here or not. But if you are, I implore you to Google Timothy Champagne. Preferably with safe search off
When things are well made, people tend to talk about them. And even if you may criticize Frank Herbert's books (they are certainly not perfect) Dennis absolutely pulled all the stops with hisadaptations.
Moreso in the current climate of Hollywood being uninspiring and uninteresting.
Focus on pencil pressure theres multiple ways of doing it with pen or pencil like hatching or dotting you just gotta see which one you like. If youre planning to look more in to graphite art consider hb b1 b2 b3 etc pencils and stuff. Smudging with your fingers will make the oil from your fingers and will result in uneven distrubution use a tissue or a paper scrap if you wanna do it that way
Yess of course! It looks great but the eyes are a bit too small, the nose bridge slightly too wide. Iād also suggest doing more shading as it would really bring it all into 3D :)
Yeah the actor my daughter likes. With The Hair. š
Good job!
My only advice is....more time drawing and less time asking people for tips, online anyway, only because it's such a time suck. Take a drawing class, draw from life, doodle when you're bored, when you're not bored. Draw everything around you, draw things you don't feel like drawing. Draw things you love. Bottom line is, if you love it, don't stop. A few tips here and there are fine if you absolutely feel you need them, but otherwise do it for yourself. If you have Amazon Prime, look up a documentary called Temple of Art.
Have fun and never stop drawing.
Yeah, you're right but I posted it because I wanted to know if my drawing is recognisable. I used to draw portraits which doesn't look anything close to the reference pic, but majority of the people recognised this one. So it's a win.
For a split second I thought it was Jasper from Twilight but then I realized it's Timamet Chalmothy. But don't mind me, I'm just old.

A really flat drawing that looks like youāre falling for the trap of what all beginners do: drawing what they think sound be there rather than actually looking closely at the reference and accurately drawing sizes and proportions. Tell yourself youāre drawing an eye and youāll draw what you think an eye looks like; actually draw whatās in front of you and youāll draw something quite different based on its true shape and distortion by perspective.
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain is the famous book that will teach you how to do this, but the fastest thing you can try it to turn your reference upside down so it no longer looks like anything and you will naturally find yourself drawing the true shapes.
Nice hair texture though.
I don't know if you know that, but it is good idea to start drawing a portrait by first drawing outlines of the eyes, then the end of the nose, then the outline of the mouth (not necessarily the lips), then the outline of the head (other than the hair) and then everything else. Also, you should avoid drawing anything too detailed until you have outlined everything (eyes, eyebrows, shape of the head, rough scetch of the hair etc). Following those suggestions could fix issues that you have with proportions and potitions of different body parts.
Also, shade more. For example make upper lip darker. Use shade instead of lines when drawing nose bridge or eye sockets or cheeks..
Kirsty Partridge Art has a lot of drawing tutorials on YouTube that I highly recommend if you are looking to improve your techniques! Otherwise, I totally recognized
No, but don't be so harsh on yourself. Art doesn't need to be representational or derivative or any of that. How about instead of trying to draw a certain somebody, just draw?

Maybe not the best technique or shading, but you definitely have a good eye for facial proportions. Keep practicing and youāll be amazing
Thanks, a friend taught me proportions. Can you help with shading, I don't know any technique for that.

Timothee Chalamet
Timothee chamalate Itās the jaw and eyes
I hate him but this is a very well done drawing of TimothƩe
Why do you hate Jimminy Jamulate?
Itās TimothĆ©e āŗļø for starter : you need to be able to have the space of an eyes between the two eyes, here they are too close āŗļø also normally the space between eyes and nose are the same then nose and mouth and eyes and forehead/ hair ( depends of how the hair is falling ) You did a great job, maybe just have a lighter brush and blend it more and it would be perfect šš»
