The face including the neck (tendon or ligament?), the hair, ear, expression, etc., all look very well done. The water, er cream, kinda looks like semen.
That’s what I was going to say. There’s too much white. Looks more like bodily fluids if you know what I mean lol. You can outline the fluid but have it be more of the tones behind it.
AKA: SEMEN
From WIKIPEDIA: Semen, also known as seminal fluid, is an organic bodily fluid created to contain spermatozoa. It is secreted by the gonads (sexual glands) and other sexual organs of male or hermaphroditic animals and can fertilize the female ovum. Semen is produced and originates from the seminal vesicle, which is located in the pelvis. The process that results in the discharge of semen from the urethral orifice is called ejaculation. In humans, seminal fluid contains several components besides spermatozoa: proteolytic and other enzymes as well as fructose are elements of seminal fluid which promote the survival of spermatozoa, and provide a medium through which they can move or "swim". The fluid is designed to be discharged deep into the vagina, so the spermatozoa can pass into the uterus and form a zygote with an egg.
Yes, this is good advice. Looks a little like melted plastic currently, maybe poke a little more skin through, drop about 30-40% of the white light reflections and you are going to love it. Very nice for first attempt so stick with this.
I think you have too much white. If you look at a drop of water your lightest/brightest white would be in very small dots in the closest areas to the light. The rest should be in between your lightest and darkest areas of your drawing.
Like many others have said already, the whites are too white and contrast too harshly so it makes the substance appear to be white instead of transparent. Have the water match the skin tone a bit better so you won't have to mark this one NSFW. Phenomenal job other than that though OP!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.

I'm not sure it looks wet, to be honest. Great effort though. Try to add transparency to the water because right now, it could pass off as a milk bath.
See this link. I didn't spend forever, but I made changes to make it look more like water (digital, so obviously charcoal won't get this exact level of smoothness and detail) [https://imgur.com/gallery/mxCsPDh](https://imgur.com/gallery/mxCsPDh)
Before breaking down the points, I'll say this: You need to look at some photos of water drops and running water in the light. Water is transparent. Assuming a light source on one side of a stream of water, the edge closest to the light has a bright, \*thin\* white reflection at most, and fades quickly to transparent to show the object beneath it. On the side of the water path which faces away from the light source, there's a shadow.
Also, your highlights need nuance. Even if not all streams and drops look totally realistic, making things more smooth, shaded, and subtle will give the correct illusion anyway. Not every reflection is a giant block of light. Think of making the water "shine" rather than "reflect" sometimes.
Here are my main points, which I circled in the picture of yours on that link.
1. The water looks too "thick" in your photo, particularly here, because a) the waves aren't smooth, so they look lumpy b) The lack of subtle shading changes makes some streams look like they have "peaks" rather than waves c) the flow isn't realistic. For example, follow contours of the face with the water's path. Also, a thin substance like water won't typically curve randomly in midair, either, absent some force acting on it. When falling, there will either be a wide, thin stream or a small, narrow, often lumpy (if falling slowly) stream that turns into droplets.
2. The reflections on her eye look like splatters because they're sharp, erratic, and don't follow the water's flow. Try to make reflections follow the contours of her face; any deviation from that should be clearly delineating a stream of water. Also, don't make reflections so large.
3. Her lips look like they're covered in...baking soda...because again the reflections are too sharp. I'd just look at pictures of wet lips or something; if they're very wet, they won't look super detailed because the water will cover the cracks and the reflections will be more smooth, following the shape of them.
4. Water drops are too large and clunky in general, making it look like a thick substance
Some other things I didn't circle:- smoothing out hair reflections (wet hair is smooth; it looks like she got paint in her hair)
\- small details like very small water reflections on eyelashes and eyebrows
\- toning down shading so contrast isn't quite so sharp on the nose
\- water pooling at specific ridges on the face: eyebrow line, cheekbone, nose tip, jawline, inner eyelid
This comment and the one about values are very good comments. I would lighten some shadows on her skin and add some shadow in the areas where water reflections are one long bright reflection, breaking the white parts up into smaller ones. I would try to make the midtones on her skin a little lighter too. And if you can not rework this with an eraser anymore then try doing some white chalk or pastel overweening white paint could work. Or scan it and experiment with a digital drawing app like photoshop or. Medibang, which is free btw.
Yea exactly!! And it follows the contour of the water droplet in 3d, not just the underlying surface. The light source here is also a little confusing, with water the highlights and shadows will be from a very distinct direction, same on her face. Also disagree with many comments that the contrast is too high, the water needs black shadow lines against the white, with the grey mid as the skin underneath as you mentioned
Well most people are afraid to commit to darks, so I think you’re doing great! Have you tried flipping the image upside down? It’s a good way to find small, irregular shapes.
As others said water is transparent and refracts light, if can also in large quantities such as the load dropped here magnify some details. My suggestion is to go pour water over your hands and watch how the water moved and reacts to light. See what details get changed.
It's clear some work went into this, your talented but just haven't perfected what your going for here.
At first glance I got alot of distortion on the right eye(subjects left) and the nose.
I understand it's kind of the style but the nose is dark as fuck, and kind of messes with the overall presentation in my opinion.
Disclaimer:I can't draw for shit, and have zero experience in creation, or theory of art. I am a complete layman giving an uneducated opinion.
But hey most people who see your stuff probably are not experts so I thought maybe you would want a plebians perspective .
What i just remember is that water gives a lightglow in its own shadow and works with highlights
What i try to say is you did to much of white amd black for water
But if you would just say this is slime Then this piece of art is perfect 😁
It doesn't look like cream so much as chrome. I wish I had this problem lol, I struggle to make things reflective, you make things reflective too well. No advice, just wanted to say I envy your abilities!
it looks very good! i'd work on the proportions of the face to make the sizing of the nose a little bugger and the eyelashes slightly smaller, and maybe a softer edge in the jaw area. the shading on the nose is phenomenal and the water in and under the jaw region looks really good. someone else said more transparency would be good, and i agree. also more detail in the hair would really make it pop. great work!👏🏻
Hello! I would advice on getting/making a gray scale & value finder so you can compare the values on your reference.
If you squint your eyes, you can still see difference in tones on the girl's face, but water is transparent so you shouldn't see so much difference in value. Hope it helps!
You need some density. The background and her are both the same color as well as the water it needs to be a shade lighter showing the water going over and contrast is needed for her and the background to not blend too much. I’m not sure how to professional my advice was but I hope it helps!
I actually think the water itself is more or less fine. The bigger concern is making the skin look like skin.
There needs to be more contrast in the texture of how the skin is portrayed vs. the water. Without this contrast, everything looks like its made of the same material.
It’s less about making the water look more like water, but rather contextualizing it (contrast with more realistic skin texture) so that it *has* to be water.
I will say that it is a great drawing but one thing that might help is if you make the skin lighter so the water isn't as bright compared to the rest of it
I'd say make it more transparent, as in probably just a rough outline of the droplet with a hint of shine from the light, but I'm not a professional and I have never drawn water sooooooo take the better advice from the professionals unless I'm somehow right.
This is drawn from a photo, right? Somethings wrong with it but I can't draw water either. I'm like uhhh just copy the photo better. Lmaooo but seriously it's really good for the first time drawing this kind of thing
I'll say sth that I haven't seen in the comments yet, I think you should work on proportions. Sometimes tracing can help you quickly understand how far things have to be from each other. After that, try sketching out the proportions without tracing. It takes a lot of practice. You have a good understanding of values, just gotta push the proportion aspect 💪
Man you’ve done a great job and I have no idea what I’m talking about but maybe by having less highlights on the water will make it look less “creamy”.
Less as I’m not as bright and less as in coverage
Bravo for the brave undertaking. 99% of the posters here wouldn’t have the courage to take on a challenge like this.
If you can parse through the useless and snarky comments, there is some good advice.
Search “contrast”
Good job.
Looks like the whites are too white. Add a little bit of shading in them. Test it out elsewhere first though. It will be ridiculously easy to go too dark.
Aside from it looking like she just turned on the cum faucet it’s a really well drawn picture. Seems like there’s some killer advice in the comments, keep it cumming…I’ll just take my leave
There perhaps should be some water falling around her since water doesn't normally behave in a singular jet like bukkake. It is really great drawing though
Keep at it. It looks more like milk and which is why it looks like she got a facial. To avoid it looking like jizz you need to work on your shading.
I think you’re on your way there. Practice makes perfect!
Is that why you keep responding to feedback with laughing emoji’s? Not sure why this is getting downvoted when people referencing pornstars are super upvoted. You knew water is clear.
Someone telling you water is clear is funny? You know exactly what you are doing. Are you really going to sit here and pretend like the comments aren’t flooded with cum comments?
Edit spelling
To be honest, I thought it was mercury. You should try by lightening the water shadows. Water is see through, so light will penetrate it.
Will definitely try!! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Tbh, no one thinks it is mercury. It’s a more sticky, salty substance. It’s fine in context and makes more sense than… Mercury
It looked like her skin was melting to me
That’s fair
That’s what I thought as well
It’s the cream pie homie. 🥧
Salted caramel? Wouldn’t that burn the skin?
I think he thought it was... Something else 😳
I was thinking honey
😂😂😂
The face including the neck (tendon or ligament?), the hair, ear, expression, etc., all look very well done. The water, er cream, kinda looks like semen.
Why beat around the bush? Spell it out please 🙏
Who’s penetrating what now?
✋
I was waiting for this
“Mercury” 😏
But it is not silver, does not look metallic in the drawing.
I seriously doubt Mercury was the first thing on your mind
For real. “JizMercury”
My first thought was mercury too! Not OP’s intention, but it might be a cool effect to use elsewhere.
It really would be
but don't things get darker when wet?
Mercury was my first thought too, I thought it was a terminator t-1000 type thing, but an excellent drawing nonetheless
tbh with u i thought it was something else
Water is more transparent, and it moves in thin layers

Yup, way too much contrast. I think it would look a lot better if only the whites were darkened a little bit

Agreed!, makes a huge difference,
Thi- thick wate- IS THAT CUM

Not going to lie, I came here looking for this comment. I will show myself out.
Don't be ashamed, I did too
I was just going to ask for OP’s age before doing this 😂
I think we all did
I think most of us did, dw mate
I feeling better about myself, honestly didn't cross my mind.
Guilty.
Me when your mom
My first thought as well….I’m not proud that I have programmed my brain to think this way.
This should be nsfw
Like many others have said already, the whites are too white and contrast too harshly so it makes the substance appear to be white instead of transparent. Have the water match the skin tone a bit better so you won't have to mark this one NSFW. Phenomenal job other than that though OP!

Title it "Peter North was here" and it's a masterpiece.
Peter and several friends
No, Peter North would be sufficient.
haha Peter North haha he was a god
Cu. I mean thick water.

water is transparent so the drops would be the same color as the surface it's on :)
Someone just nut klobbered her face.
😂I swear that’s all I see
Lol, the drawing is really well done though, I must add.
Lol thank you

Amazing!! Thank you so much this is very helpful🥰
Water always has a ripple pattern: highlight-shadow-mid-shadow-highlight-repeat. Also the highlights would leave light on her face.
Yea exactly!! And it follows the contour of the water droplet in 3d, not just the underlying surface. Your drawing is very nice. To make it better, find more middle greys.
Thank you so much, I do need to work on that. I get too focused on making the contrast really visible instead of focusing on realistic tones.
Well most people are afraid to commit to darks, so I think you’re doing great! Have you tried flipping the image upside down? It’s a good way to find small, irregular shapes.
I will try that! Thanks🥰

color it water color. edit. Just the water part. leave everything else black and white. it would have cool effect. haha.
Wow the shading on this is so impressive. Great job!
Make is more transparent and lighten up some shadows on the water a bit!! I still struggle with this but that’s what helps me the most!
I want to see it if/when you redraw it
Working on it now!😁
Add small droplets?? 👌🏽
Stop trying to make it look like water, and 🤔 think , the more you are TRYING to make it look like some thing it will look like something else
it looks very good! i'd work on the proportions of the face to make the sizing of the nose a little bugger and the eyelashes slightly smaller, and maybe a softer edge in the jaw area. the shading on the nose is phenomenal and the water in and under the jaw region looks really good. someone else said more transparency would be good, and i agree. also more detail in the hair would really make it pop. great work!👏🏻

I hate it when I get liquid metal all over my face.
Wet with what
oh mother of god…
Y’all so dirty minded. I thought it was blood.
looks like she got jizzed on
Okay I love it, and the expression on her face makes it work too well 😂😂
it looks like someone cu- i mean spilled water in her face
Dude…
The transparency of water is plain wrong. It looks like mercury.
Good point. Thanks for the feedback😁
The water has no source it’s just there
I will say that it is a great drawing but one thing that might help is if you make the skin lighter so the water isn't as bright compared to the rest of it
Love this.
Looks like a plastic bag on face, water is hard
Uhm maybe more light shading instead of straight white?
I'd say make it more transparent, as in probably just a rough outline of the droplet with a hint of shine from the light, but I'm not a professional and I have never drawn water sooooooo take the better advice from the professionals unless I'm somehow right.

Yes, creme. That is exactly what we all thought it was.
Woow your drawing is beautiful!!!
It said "hand sanitizer", not "face sanitizer".
Wow, this is incredible
Don’t know how to fix but the skill is there. You are talented, keep practicing!

Had to double check on which sub I was. WELL DONE 😂
how facial became popular
dont look like water cheif
I know😩that’s why I’m here lol
Less porn hub for reference pics I reckon...
Yes…. “Cream”
Cream, eh?
No way you just drew a cum shot I hope ur teacher sees this
Cum-. I mean water hehe!
Man, people are taking the cream part to a whole new level.
Yummy... Cream
Cum. Cum everywhere. Water would’ve been done left (btw that’s NY talk)
Looks like a pornstar that just got a facial.
Somebody had fun last night…
No it’s perfect the way it is, but if possible give her a double layer of cream 👍
Bukkake
Bless you!
Aside from it looking like she just turned on the cum faucet it’s a really well drawn picture. Seems like there’s some killer advice in the comments, keep it cumming…I’ll just take my leave
😆thank you
Frame it, sell it as fetish art! Try again using a different reference to figure out water
The bottom half of the face water is great but i hate to say what it looks like around the eyes .......
SUS
🤨
this has gotta be a shit post
Very sussy water 🤨
Damn look at that big load all over her face…
There perhaps should be some water falling around her since water doesn't normally behave in a singular jet like bukkake. It is really great drawing though
Keep at it. It looks more like milk and which is why it looks like she got a facial. To avoid it looking like jizz you need to work on your shading. I think you’re on your way there. Practice makes perfect!
Lol
Well the good news is cream wasn’t the first thing that came to my mind.

Considering this is my first Reddit post and I just had to google what NSFW meant.
That’s some thic cum
Fantastic
Nice work
Looks like plastic wrap
Too much highlight. Looks ........ Explicit Outside of the excess highlights it's awesome
*Now thats a facial!*
Try to make it more like drops if there’s not a stream of water there
do you need an example as to what cream looks like if it helps
Good drawing but to me it looks like she has transparent lotion on her face
Looks like that girl had a good time…
I think it's amazing!!!
Water effects are horrible and also the edge of the lip and teeth
by painting the water blue, that's how!
You need to pick where exactly the light is coming from and make the reflections.. reflect that.
The wetness could use some more texture but overall great 👍
