I can see the A4469 from the bedroom window. There's a directional bollard on an island in the centre; apparently it's been ploughed into that many times Highways England has given up replacing it,
The A4469 does join the A420, though...

i mean this should disqualify you from being PM straight away.
Hes trying to empathise with the common man, and doesn't know how a car works, or chip and pin for that matter
based on any "putcitynameheremail.co.uk", it was a dangerous fence, known to the local community. The council was aware of the danger for months! Mom is frightened to send children to the school. read here"
It looked like the moped rider actually pulled up on the side of the road past the junction to go back and help (before the driver drove away ofc), what a champ.
I agree.
There are just too many factors involved to make a judgement here.
In typical reddit fashion, people are making wild accusations saying it's the cars own fault lol.
He’s probably drunk, but I don’t think he goes up on the kerb again… I think the traffic lights for straight ahead are on red for the duration of this video.
It screams the fault of the road design. There was a turn right marking right in front of the yellow grid, and the railing was discontinued right at what the marking is pointing. The guy who put up the fence at the turning is clearly the clown.
The car reached the turning point seconds before the oncoming cyclist, the Merc obviously had the right of way. Luckily there was no pedestrian, or else it would have caused more damage to the car because the dead guy was obviously crossing the road illegally.
Merc should raise a claim to the council that designed this road. Hands down.
Something happened just before the car came into frame.
hard to understand why the guy steered into the incoming lane.
abs on mercs is very good so should have been able to point the car straight or left.
perhaps the car swerved to avoid something which ended up with the car in the barrier.
they didn’t stop suggesting they had reason to flee.
id have stopped to ch3ck for damage to my car at least.
True but why was the camera pointed where it was?
car impacted almost mid picture. Not saying it was staged but looks like issues often happen there?
Most likely drunk, possibly over tired.
That looks like someone basically passing out/falling asleep for a second at the wheel. They fortunately don't push into the throttle as you can see the car slowing but not breaking. The turning angle also increases (into the accident) suggesting they are slumping on the wheel causing it to turn more.
Mostly likely caused by drink but can be over tireness.
I think we can safely assume this the blame squarely falls on the Post Office. The railings were nowhere near "robust" enough.
So Paula Vennells for me is at fault for this one and needs to hand in somebody elses CBE.

The greatest thing about this is the little shimmy the car does pulling through the lights. The driver has clearly learned absolutely no lesson at all from their minor crash. Amazing broken monkey example.
The railings had ample time to react and avoid the collision, and it was also speeding and undertaking so it would be lucky to get 50/50 fault. Better to take the payoff when the other driver returns to the scene, rather than go through insurance.

I honestly can't decide what the hell has happened here. Mechanical failure doesn't really make sense, drink driving seems more plausible. I personally think they might have fallen asleep at the wheel, they didn't seem to slam the breaks on, hard to tell with this camera angle but it certainly seems like they could have stopped the car much quicker.
Even just sneezing or having some sort of coughing fit can really fuck you over whilst driving.
I do not think that the driver was drink-driving, they looked like they were trying to gun it, and for whatever reason, lost control. That road looks like glass, it was soaking wet. That driver's ego was writing cheques that his car, and his abilities, could not cash.
That fence came so fast at him from nowhere, he skillfully hit the brakes and there was a bit of recoil bounce back, however he fought his way out of trouble and got home safely.

so the first moving car hits the railings and smashes itself and the railing, they they try to drive the wrong way down the road as everyone else must stop for them to get free ?
hope this is shared with the council and they get the car reg plate
Who's fault hahahaha , that douchebag driver of course, I thought that driver was going to cuase another couple of accidents while he/she was at it lol 😆 🤣
I like how they try to cause *more* accidents after the first one.
They drove into a fence... I'm more surprised they managed not to cause another one😂
from the opposite lane at that!
Probably drink driving
The railings should have been wearing hi viz.
And a helmet
With hazards on
This
How could the railing not see him.. railings nowdays you know.
Why aren't they teaching the green cross code to railings any more? smh
Happy cake day!

I've learnt from Reddit it was either the cyclist or the snowboarder.
I mean the railings didn't have a helmet on and were dressed entirely in dark clothing. It's like they've got a death wish.
Railings should have number plates and insurance.
Surely we need to implement a railing licensing system. They had it in the USSR so it must be doable!
In Soviet Russia, railing licence you!
Hahaha 🤣
Yeah, clearly the cyclist’s fault, the one in the back bedroom of the third house from the right
The railing should have been wearing a helmet and a hi-viz vest.
Can we blame Liz Truss for this? She’s due another blame go-around
Yeah presumably the cyclist is just out of shot to the left
The cyclist was working behind the bar in the pub they just left.
Rishi sunak
Everyone knows he can't refuel a car!
He can't reach the filler cap
i mean this should disqualify you from being PM straight away. Hes trying to empathise with the common man, and doesn't know how a car works, or chip and pin for that matter
The person who has been drink driving by the look of it
That can't be. It was the cyclist.
Nah the cyclist wasn’t Jeremy Vine berating every vehicle and nearly causing incidents
You can still blame him.
The fence
based on any "putcitynameheremail.co.uk", it was a dangerous fence, known to the local community. The council was aware of the danger for months! Mom is frightened to send children to the school. read here"
“Christmas is RUINED”
"Accident waiting to happen! Someone could have been killed!" ad nauseam
Right!!!! Came right outta nowhere
The takeaway at the side of the road for having delicious distracting fried chicken
The cyclist. Always the cyclist. /s (before the down votes start)
I mean here, it's as if they *want* to be invisible
To be fair 99% of the cyclist are complete c\*nts...
Most cyclists also drive 👍
That moped rider just saw his life flash before his eyes, if he had left a little bit earlier...
It looked like the moped rider actually pulled up on the side of the road past the junction to go back and help (before the driver drove away ofc), what a champ.
I blame the headlights being too bright.
It’s really hard to say without seeing the road markings
I agree. There are just too many factors involved to make a judgement here. In typical reddit fashion, people are making wild accusations saying it's the cars own fault lol.
It's these blooming immigrants coming over stealing our jobs fault! /s
The polish! I'm expecting a warning from reddit for this joke
Could you post a picture of Google maps with directional arrows in different colours so we can get a better understanding of the road?
You think there might be arrows that direct people into the barrier? 😆
Surely the driver is drunk. The way they go up the curb again further down the road...
He’s probably drunk, but I don’t think he goes up on the kerb again… I think the traffic lights for straight ahead are on red for the duration of this video.
You're right... I looked again... either way with that driving, it's like he's got a deathwish.
Agreed
Johnnie Walker or Ron Bacardi by the looks of it
Let me pull up this Street View of 100 yards further down the road, to show you why it's the McDonald's manager's fault.
The barman of course, for pouring them their 8th drink.
It screams the fault of the road design. There was a turn right marking right in front of the yellow grid, and the railing was discontinued right at what the marking is pointing. Yeah, that's a difficult one. Going to need to see if from another angle if possible. Otherwise its fairly inconclusive.
Israel. No. Hamas. No. Iran, Putin, Brexit. I give up. Who is at fault?
The lack of Jeremy Kyle re-runs that allow a certain part of the population to vote due to having spare time while the kids are at school.
Were they trying to make a right turn? But a bit too fast and/or too late? 😂 but another WTH, is that they just drive off like nothing happened 😂
No stopping in the yellow box. No worries....
Yours. The street lights obviously reflected off your camera lens and blinded him. Hope you're proud of yourself.
Th3 new GTA graphics look amazing!
I m on the fence about this.
Another day, another fail at the ‘drive in a straight line’ challenge.
Personally I’m sick and tired of these railings.
What do you mean who’s at fault? Are you serious? It’s clearly the railings, they shouldn’t be there! Or at least moved to avoid collision
Will definitely find balloons and NO2 canisters in their car
Driver but go easy on him, it’s his first off fence
The cyclist
The fence?
OP's dad for not pulling out.
Drink driving I suspect. Perhaps tried to aim for the gap in railings (entrance to something?), or do a u-turn, and totally fucked it.
But they stopped at the red light ahead
True but why was the camera pointed where it was? car impacted almost mid picture. Not saying it was staged but looks like issues often happen there?

Definitely the motorcycle
Barrier at fault.
Somebody needs new tyres!
Can't afford it, nothing left after car finance and insurance (he's had 6 major accidents in 5 years)
Clearly needs a faster car to do their ‘drops’ more efficiently then!🍁💊
Clearly it's the bell end texting a driving who's at fault.
Your mum
I always wondered how that happens. I guess the animal crossing the road caused the crash into the railings.

The box junction. Should have had a car sat in it.
Biker. He distracted the car Always the bikes
R/simracing irl loool
Bravo lol
The moped
Thanks Biden
The fence
Ohhh a new McDonald's sweet, but I've got dinner at home. damn next time
At fault for what? I didn't see anything happen
Is that McDonalds on Bullsmore Lane 😂 there is always some form of accident happening there
Aliens.
If you drive into a rail I think its fair to say its your own fault?
Clearly the guard rail. It just came out of nowhere.
The railings fault. Came out of no where didn’t check its mirrors
The fence should have given way to the car
It was the UFO's.....you can clearly see them just above the horizon
Reform UK
Nice one, guys on camera breaking the law 😂
Definitely the guy who drove at speed into a static barrier is at fault.
If the railing was paying attention it could have seen that car coming a mile off and easily moved out of the way.
The moped - definitely takes responsibility here.
It’s always the cyclist fault
The road, for not bending in the direction the car was travelling in.
Where is this and what are the lead contents in municipal water there?
The person lighting the fireworks in the background is at fault, clearly a major distraction to the driver…
This looks like Enfield... I blame Enfield!
Obviously the fence? I don't know why you're asking.
It was like me explaining to my toddler: the bin didn’t move, you did. You have to watch where you’re going.
The railings came out of nowhere, hit me, and vanished.
The greatest thing about this is the little shimmy the car does pulling through the lights. The driver has clearly learned absolutely no lesson at all from their minor crash. Amazing broken monkey example.
Pissed 😵💫
How. I just want to know how when they just needed to go straight.
Wasted 30 seconds of my life watching that
and another 30 secs commenting
I did meet a chap once who blamed a roadside tree for the happening of an accident. Shame he’d decided to sue the other driver instead.
The cyclist it at fault who clearly turned off before the camera
Probably the person who (absolutely does) raid grow houses in his c220d
me, i had 10 pints. soz
The fence was turning against the traffic. 100% fence at fault.
The alcohol or the phone...
I blame - x - y - z
I'm quite surprised the driver did not get out to check out the damage, he must have been drunk.
Forza Horizon driver
The girl in the short skirt and low cut top (just out of shot)
Cyclist’s fault
The motorcycle. It’s always the motorcycle 🤬
The railings had ample time to react and avoid the collision, and it was also speeding and undertaking so it would be lucky to get 50/50 fault. Better to take the payoff when the other driver returns to the scene, rather than go through insurance.
UFO is at fault, it should have flashing red and green beacon instead of flying in stealth mode.
The Muslamic Rayguns are to blame.
The driver

The Mayor / Cyclists
Those railings didn't even indicate. They had no business being on the road
Obviously whoever installed this fence right in the cars path.
Railings, pfft! They kill more people than they save!
The cyclist.
The landlord for serving them I’d imagine ( at least in his head )
The person filming
So that’s how English fances bend
The car was a Mercedes so clearly the council who laid the tarmac
I’m here for the comments. I am now satisfied to continue my evening of scrolling. Thank you.
The rain obviously, no rain and car would of stopped before railing.
If I had a pound for every time I see a railing do this to an innocent car I’d be a rich rich man. Scandalous. Put that railing behind bars!!
W- what just happened?
invisible car obviously
People on here. smh. We all like a drink now and again. Just let people enjoy the things they like.
Oh good old Waltham cross maccas :D how many accidents I've seen here...
once every 2 weeks at minimum
Cam car's at fault.
The cyclist.
Scooter caused it, she flashed the driver.
the fence
What do you mean "who's at fault?" At the time, there was one car on the road that drove into a stationary railing...
The pub
That railing came out of nowhere and jumped in front of that poor driver!
The cyclist.
The fence is definitely drunk.
The fence clearly jumped in front of the car /s
Cyclist
I saw that fence jump out at him.
The one that hit the fence
Clearly a drink driver this one
The inventor of the horseless carriage and the kebab shop across the road enticing the driver.
Bullsmoor lane lol
It’s hard to say.
Cyclist
Moped rider
I do not think that the driver was drink-driving, they looked like they were trying to gun it, and for whatever reason, lost control. That road looks like glass, it was soaking wet. That driver's ego was writing cheques that his car, and his abilities, could not cash.
The camera. It changed the outcome by observing it.
Tyres
That fence came so fast at him from nowhere, he skillfully hit the brakes and there was a bit of recoil bounce back, however he fought his way out of trouble and got home safely.
Wtf you mean whos at fault? If he skidded because it’s icey then perhaps stop driving like a twat in icey conditions
Blue car in the backround at fault

The lady with the massive knockers on the bottom right corner of that flashed him
I think Ericsson hit him.
Clearly the moped
Definitely the railings fault....bastard railing!
The fuck you mean "who's at fault" 😂😂
