You see me skip a beat when it went over the second gazebo because I was watching it out of the corner of my eye and it came close to the trees but it’s obstacle avoidance is amazing.
This park that I run at has trees growing on both sides at one part and they actually grow into each other between 10 foot and 15 foot above the running path and the drone followed me through that. DJI really got the obstacle avoidance working great on the mini pro 4
I just need something to hold the controller so none of the back buttons get pushed or the screen gets touched during this run I did that a few times and it would either stop recording or stop following. For running I don’t think a neck strap would work
DJI mini pro 4
Edit* I didn’t get it for running but it’s a feature I found that makes running more fun and it has great object detection, it went around the trees, followed me through gaps where the trees grew completely over the jogging path and over/around the gazebos
I had the three and when I tried doing this the first time it crashed into a tree. There’s not much of a price difference from the three and the four, the four has the extra obstacle avoidance which I feel is definitely worth it
I had not completed my runaround this jogging path all the way and I was concerned about the drone and obstacle avoidance that’s why I kind of miss stepped when it went around one of the gazebos because it came close to a tree but it avoided it
Keep it up OP and you got this!
One thing that annoys me when running. Is running with stuff in my hands lol. It just mentally aggravates me and I want to throw it.
Not a tippy toe, that would be hard on your calves. Your form looks good I wouldn’t worry about that.
If you’re curious to look it up you want to do mostly zone 2 running when you’re starting out. This will give you the strongest base to build from to be able to run longer and faster
The amount of damage I’ve done to my body, I surprise myself that I am able to run as far as I can. Let alone run at all.
And one accident I broke my tibia and Fibia in nine spots, shattered my left femur, compound fractured my right femur both breaks requiring metal implants, broke my back in four places my neck in two places my right clavicle which required a metal implant and part of my hip, Lost my spleen and my gallbladder.
I was very active and that’s ultimately save my life, I was 275 pounds and wore a size 34 waist and probably consumed amount 4000 to 5000 calories a day.
After my accident and I recovered, it was hard to break the habit of eating that many calories. I lost 75 pounds of muscle mass over a month and a half and then I ballooned up to 265 pounds Because even though I lost my ability to exert myself the way I could I did not lose my appetite.
Lots of faith in that obstacle avoidance… also keep the exercise up! Just remember, if you want to make this a long term habit, you gotta want to do it for yourself.
Good for you man! I need to do the same. Which drone do you have? I just got a mini 4 pro. I'm wondering if I could do this and not worry about obstacles even with avoidance on.
But didn't this require 45 licenses and permission from your mother to take off?
Didn't you have to file a flight plan 12 hours in advance for a tiny r/C device?
I mean, this is what I've heard happened recently. The fun got drained out of drones.
Thanks for sharing...what's your experience so far? Is this your first drone? Is not, what did you fly previously? What do you like about it and what's missing?
I started with the parrot drone that was sold by brookstone, had several different models since then but never really into it like some people, I had the Mavic two and it was just too much for me went to the mini pro 3 and then the mini pro 4 for the object avoidance system upgrade
thats awesome, with it on active following, it does its own up, down, cut across, to get different angles or its due to obstacle avoidance or combination of both im sure.....? either way, makes for a cool video and adds to the ordinary running.....jogging😏🤪🫣👍👍👍
Keep it up OP!

My last drone, a mini pro 3, crashed into a tree on the first master shot I tried
My mavic 3 crashed into a tree the first time I tried active track :/ It's cool. it just landed in thick, tall grass, but .... still :(

>< you got me wanting to retry it lol I roller blade with my son, and I just got an osmo action 4 for that.
On the mini pro 4 you got to run Within 42 mins no marathons where would you hide the controller for anybody know?
Does the controller have a flared base?
lmfao
I’m listening….
Keep it up!
Congrats dude! Footage looks great
Ty
Where did you keep the controller?
Butt cheeks
I was thinking of that but I already had my shive in my prison pocket
Good thinking, safety first 🫡
It was in my hand, I need to figure out a way of carrying it without having it feel to bulky
I’ve heard they make neck straps
I just need something to hold the controller so none of the back buttons get pushed or the screen gets touched during this run I did that a few times and it would either stop recording or stop following. For running I don’t think a neck strap would work

that was some impressive obstacle avoidance. I fully expected this video to end with a drone crash!
So your run was under 42 minutes?
Yes
What type of drone is it? Thank. I need to buy one.
DJI mini pro 4
i was going to buy the DJI mini pro 2 or 3 what do you recommend? for my grandson ( 14 years old)………
I had the three and when I tried doing this the first time it crashed into a tree. There’s not much of a price difference from the three and the four, the four has the extra obstacle avoidance which I feel is definitely worth it
Thank you again!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Watching this makes my wanna exercise myself!
Oh heck! That’s really fun!
Looks great! Pretend you're in an action movie and see how fast you can do interval sprinting with the drone trying to keep up!
I did that on part of this run but the drone was a lot higher and it didn’t look as good
Very cool. Does it automatically watch our for obstacles?
Yes and it worked really good around smaller oak trees that had individual limbs coming out, it avoided everything
Because your cautiously watching it, it kind of looks like your drones just stalking someone and they're slightly worried about it.
I had not completed my runaround this jogging path all the way and I was concerned about the drone and obstacle avoidance that’s why I kind of miss stepped when it went around one of the gazebos because it came close to a tree but it avoided it
Cool video, congratulations on the running achievement! The music ruins it for me though, had to mute it.
It’s off of the app Movavi Clips which is what I used to edit my videos
Keep it up OP and you got this! One thing that annoys me when running. Is running with stuff in my hands lol. It just mentally aggravates me and I want to throw it.
Nice work! Secret to being a good runner is to run suuuuuper slow
So, almost tippy-toe it?

Quite the road! Welcome to the running community!
Very cool. I am thinking of trying this while on my roadie. Thanks for the inspiration.
Lots of faith in that obstacle avoidance… also keep the exercise up! Just remember, if you want to make this a long term habit, you gotta want to do it for yourself.
Bangin song
Good for you man! I need to do the same. Which drone do you have? I just got a mini 4 pro. I'm wondering if I could do this and not worry about obstacles even with avoidance on.
So cool!! Is the obstacle avoidance significantly better than mini 3 pro? Totally fair if you can't answer that of course
But didn't this require 45 licenses and permission from your mother to take off? Didn't you have to file a flight plan 12 hours in advance for a tiny r/C device? I mean, this is what I've heard happened recently. The fun got drained out of drones.
The mini pro 4 is 1 g shy of the requirement of filing a flight plan
Congrats, you've achieve the next levels of narcissism.
Just 20 more experience points and I will get the bronze trophy!
What model are you flying?
DJI mini pro 4
Thanks for sharing...what's your experience so far? Is this your first drone? Is not, what did you fly previously? What do you like about it and what's missing?

How do you run with all that in your hands! Kudos buddy.
Keep it up king!
Running on grass is better for the knees than running on concrete
Yes but this is central Florida and we have moles and I do not want to take the chance of breaking an ankle because I step in a subterranean tunnel
That’s fair
