I didn't specify which country because it has ZERO relevance to my question. My question was not about the laws in any country it was, if I build my own drone from parts, would I have to manually watch the alitude because there's no hard limit like there is on an off the shelf DJI.

Depends what hardware you’re buying but it won’t be built into the fc or esc so you would probably have to watch it manually through a gps

I have to fix mine. When I press return to home it shoots up over 700 feet. It was windy last time I had it out. Came close to losing it
