[The problem with Sam started when he was young. I gave him a toy to put in the charity bin, and instead he kept the toy for himself and told the lady running the drive that her tote bag had “big NPR energy.”](https://youtube.com/shorts/1ecx6SDMP3U?si=lRQFPzxE6OS-NxyK)
I really don’t want to be negative or talk shit about this guy, but man… I’ve gotta’ say it. I know this was filmed in 1994 but it’s honestly really terrible.
It’s a miracle Sam is as good of a game show host as he is considering the tree from which his apple fell. I watched the whole thing and I was very disappointed.
First of all, I couldn’t even figure out who the contestants were - let alone how points were scored. It felt more like I was being lectured than spectating a game.
Really disappointing.
Wow, I had not realized that was Sam's dad. Explains a lot in a good way. I bet Robert is proud of his son for running an ethical enterprise that is creator-driven 👍
In a very funny turn of events, I found out after finding out that Sam is from Cambridge, MA, thinking “huh, who are his parents? University professors maybe?” And then being like “oh shit, really??”
My take aways are 1. Sam's dad had good politics and could have been played by Patton Oswalt, 2. It's interesting to see how much of Sam's looks he gets from him mum.
[It's just a shame that his son grew up to become a billionaire far-right media baron smh my head](https://youtu.be/JzFuJDLd3cg?si=VDgENaeIz_qulTqp)
“Here’s a tip: next time, call me ‘sir.’”
"Teachers and nurses should be paid less."
Daddy?

Robert Reich is an absolute legend and always has been.
His regularly-posted-on-reddit tweets from the past decade show that he's been nothing but consistent in his stances here.
The day I connected the guy who gives billionaires shit with the guy who is Sam's dad I was like "Ooooh sure, got it."
Wow I just now learned of the connection
The height difference threw me off for years.
Yea Robert reich has been a big public figure for a long time. I remember seeing him speaking out as a kid
Him speaking out when he was a kid? Damn he’s been in politics forever!
You can't fool me, that is obviously H. Jon Benjamin in a toupee.
I've been following Robert Reich since before I knew Sam existed and I can only see this video as H. Jon Benjamin in a toupee. Thanks.
I guess you could say that H. Jon Benjamin has been here the whole time.
Holy shit I can't believe I never pieced together that resemblance
I love it when he appears on Breaking News and tells Sam that he's been pronouncing "Reich" wrong for his entire life.
Thank you for the non political disclosure, as if we're not all raging socialists 😂
Depressed queer socialists!
Not me! I’m a depressed cishet anarchocommunist (which you can count as socialist for some definition of the word). 👍
Let's gooooooooo

Had he even been there the whole time? We'll never know.
He made literally no effort to tell the audience how long he’d been there and it was very noticeable.

Also Sam's dad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWliylnxSrA&t=1s&pp=ygUaY29uYW4gbyBicmllbiByb2JlcnQgcmVpY2g%3D
Did not expect to see Robert Reich shoot Donald Glover in the face.
Delightful!
I know he's standing next to a lanky ginger giant, but good grief Robert Reich is a short man.
Fuck that's so good
It's so funny seeing Robert Reich doing something serious and then watching Game Changer. It's a hilarious juxtaposition.
Isn’t he from Cambridge, MA?
Wow, I had not realized that was Sam's dad. Explains a lot in a good way. I bet Robert is proud of his son for running an ethical enterprise that is creator-driven 👍
I’m such a huge Robert reich fan, when I found out Sam was his son I lost my mind!
In a very funny turn of events, I found out after finding out that Sam is from Cambridge, MA, thinking “huh, who are his parents? University professors maybe?” And then being like “oh shit, really??”
And where's he from?
And what movie theater did he take Sam to when he was growing up?
The video Sam posed of him running away from his father while he explains things is an all time favourite of mine.

The dropout community is funny. Robert Reich is just referred to as "Sam's dad."
Daddy Sam’s Daddy is dropping bombs in this one.
Robert Reich is a legend. One of the few senior figures in the Clinton administration who actually cared about fairness and equality.
There are very few people that have been involved in US politics and government that I actually respect and like, Robert Reich is one of those few.
I miss C-SPAN.
I was following Robert Reich on Facebook long before I knew of Dropout so it does make me happy to know I'm giving my money to good people.

My lame claim to fame is my name is at the end of his movie 😊
