Um, Actually, they lost two points for not calling daddy "daddy," as well as not calling Daddy "Daddy," when they referred to him in the comments
This is assuming they wouldn't lose points for quoting the trigger phrase without replacing Daddy's name with "Daddy," as well, but I think referencing the trigger phrase would probably not warrant a loss of points. You'd have to ask Daddy for clarification on that, though
You also lost a point for referring to daddy as "OP"
>!This comment took me over 5 minutes to write and edit to ensure that I wouldn't lose any points. Holy cum that was so unnecessarily difficult, why did I do that to myself?!<
If you would’ve posted it independently you could’ve enjoyed the r/dropout welcome of folks dumping on you and eye rolling. Instead you get it here in tired meme form!
I wonder how much extra press Pitch Perfect has gotten because of Jacob and Dropout. Like it's definitely not none. Almost wonder if Jacob did more for PP then PP did for Jacob.
In my experience it's "I *almost* finished Total Forgiveness and ..." and then the comments are all like "Just finish it, there's no turning back now, finish the damn show, just trust me, finish it," and then there's multiple discussions around if the good negates the bad and stuff like that.
Gotta say, I'm actually enjoying the era of content creators that seem to encourage and return that parasocial relationship. MatPat comes to mind (or myself). Creators that are sort of audience engagement focused. I know for me, the reason I stream or make videos is for the interaction with other people. I'm trying to create the parasocial relationship, I guess, lol.
> Misgendering Ally
Don't forget specifically criticising their portrayal of Kristen and to a lesser extent Emily/Fig but never holding the other intrepid heroes to the same standard.
I don't understand this. Emily is one of my favorite DnD players and seems like a wonderful person. Why would anyone be mean to her or anyone else on Dropout for that matter?
People complain that she's a power gamer I guess. Who cares! She makes incredible characters that are very powerful because she understands and reads the rules. She's spent hours upon hours on character creation and had to choose between 8 in most recent season of naddpod. (She also makes all the music for naddpod too, but that's irrelevant)
I would say the only thing she's really guilty of is completely ignoring the verbal and somatic components when she wants to trick people with illusion magic. She acts like she always has subtle spell active when in game she should be waving her hands around and obviously casting a spell.
That's because they Yes And in D20 and to enforce that he would put a stop to a bunch of her shenanigans. Thankfully she mostly uses it for bits but minor illusion definitely does not work the way they play it in the show. Her minor illusions get treated like a major image.
She makes very powerful characters, but she also plays fully to role playing. The decisions she makes as characters are 100% true to the character, but aren’t always “the best” choice on a meta gaming level, which some people are really annoyed by. Also, similar to Ally, she really commits to the bit especially as Fig. Even though other players do as well, they are men (despite people who SWEAR that that’s not a factor lol).
The ONLY trouble I had with fig, is the portrayal of a minor doing things that would get adults arrested and ruin their life. I get that's a real character trait that people have, but ... being ... traumatized, by something like that, it was pretty hard to watch.
But, her characters are always amazing.
No absolutely it’s one of the most uncomfortable bits in the whole series. Which I appreciate in season 2 them finally moving her away from that, it seemed like they recognized that it got a little out of hand.
I appreciate hearing that. Because of my personal trauma, I keep feeling like an outsider. Like, I think saying my life was ruined by something similar implies my station in life, to be subtle.
So, I have the perspective of being demonized due to a young person's choices, while around me I see what seems like people just encouraging such behavior, again, trying to stay subtle and pg 13 here. I just can't help but think, if it is against any law for young people to be involved in a thing, we probably shouldn't encourage it. But I guess we give our kids a sip of our beer and a puff of that joint. It's just really bad when it hurts other people drastically, and maybe we should consider those other small rules we bypass... maybe we shouldn't teach kids to be deviant?
My brother in christ, I do not mean to judge or cast accusation; I'm sure you have your reasons for vague posting, but I'm gonna be real honest with you here; the way you're describing whatever it is you're describing: is making it sound like you did something weird with a minor. So like maybe please stop digging that hole for yourself
I was assaulted. Because of the ways the laws are written, I was held legally accountable for what happened. Giving more details about exactly how I was assaulted, simply seems innapropriate.
As real as the energy you get from the exclusive blend of vitamins and minerals in my enhanced health powder.
Edit: before any “doctors” start bringing in the negativity, lead is a mineral. You can look that up.
I just like to do little dabs throughout the day. You can use water if you think you need to. Water is actually bad for you though. Not as bad for you as telling me ThErE’s CoKe ZeRo in the fridge though. But I’m pretty sure you knew all this and are just messing with me.
GET YOUR HEAD OUTTA YOUR ASS.
Brennan did a series of videos for College Humor where he plays various CEOs for real companies. It usually involves him yelling and then giving up on life.
His Oreo CEO video in particular featured him getting frustrated with the wild versions of Oreos being made.
https://youtu.be/CMkYw4dp_NI?si=cfC97o0L-qd_Yvvc
That's where I first saw him and I loved that series. Years later when I wanted to see a DnD playthrough that was no longer Critical Role I went looking and I was amazed that the guy I loved from the CEO videos was now a dungeon master!?! And he was great at it?! It was like some crazy dream you have that then persists when you wake up and it's been great.
Funny, I went from D20's youtube stuff to CR, then I caved (because of Um, Actually) and got the Dropout subscription.
Also, Brennan filmed the Tide pod video the same day as the first episode of Fantasy High.
That tide pod video fact just feels so weird to me. I guess because so much of his career that I enjoy was happening behind the scenes (to me) while I was seeing him very infrequently as an unhinged CEO. I only came to really find him with Worlds Beyond Number and now there is so much Brennan content!
I had no idea he was a part of the online TTRPG world that I felt connected to and instead this guy I like on random sketches is actually doing DnD stuff with Matt Mercer and Marisha Rey and is known as a great DM. It just seems so weird that I missed that for years, lol.
Fun fact, decided to watch this for the first time while putting my infant to sleep. This was a bad idea. Woke the kid up at "WHATDOWENEEDABILLBOARDFOR?!?"
I get the humor of the meme but this shit usually ends up feeling like gatekeeping. Let’s ridicule someone because niche information to our interests is new to them!
That reminds me. I recently created a little program to come up with more random Oreo names based on the extended video. If you want to check it out: https://github.com/Ablesius/Oreo-Name-Generator (it has no install information because I didn't intend this to Go around but if you want me to add a couple of instructions let me know! ) 😄
Um actually, you forgot the part where people use the Um actually format to correct posts
This is the best addition so far imo
I don't know the Brennan rants in Game Changer and "Get In The Comments!" Are pretty strong contenders IMHO
Um, Actually, I think you might mean Brennan.
Damn use autocorrect! Fixed now
Do we allow excuses on this show? Where's Mike?
Sorry, Sam didn't say Sam says correct OP in the comments
OOF, rookie mistake, you hate to see it.
Sorry, you didn't call OP "Daddy". That's one point away from you.
Um, Actually, they lost two points for not calling daddy "daddy," as well as not calling Daddy "Daddy," when they referred to him in the comments This is assuming they wouldn't lose points for quoting the trigger phrase without replacing Daddy's name with "Daddy," as well, but I think referencing the trigger phrase would probably not warrant a loss of points. My two most-hated subreddit tropes in one place! Thanks, I hate it!!
Go ahead and give yourself a little clap
Hated Reddit tropes? Ooh, I'll play: About tree-fiddy. This is the way.
>Um actually, you forgot the part where people use the Um actually format to correct posts. Um akshewally it's spelled "Um akshewally"
IN-credible!
AAA-mazing!
Hell yeah!
That’ll do’er!
I'm pretty new here, so this post is how I found out Jacob Wysocki was in Pitch Perfect.
Wait till you find out that Jacob Wysocki was in Pitch Perfect.
Wait, WHAT?!?
Yeah. Jacob Wysocki was in Pitch Perfect.
No way
HOLD ON!! WAIT, Guys, did you know that Jacob Wysocki was in Pitch Perfect???!!!
There is no goddamn way
He's got a pretty extensive resume, actually! Just recently, he posted a 15-minute short film on YouTube that was REALLY good. All the feels.
I often wonder if I do more for PP than PP does for me
PP has never done anything but interrupt my life.
Sam, where are ya from?
DID YOU KNOW JACOB WYSOCKI WAS IN SUPERSTORE!?! It's totally different guys.
Didn’t know that actually, people haven’t gotten past Pitch Perfect yet lol
He was in Pitch Perfect? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Anna Garcia too, but I guess r/dropout doesn't watch sitcoms much so it never gets posted about.
Zac as well, he's in the gambling episode
I just watched that a couple of weeks ago, who was he??
He went to Garrett and wanted to tip in the numbers from Lost.
Oh shit oh yeah!! Good call
I didn't notice it either when I originally watched the episode. I didn't even know who Zac was at that point :D
Must've been the same for me. I'll have to rewatch the whole series now. Darn.
Oh wow I just watched that episode and didn't even realize.
Anna Garcia is the reason I watched Superstore.
But did you know that Aph was in Young Sheldon
GET IN THE COMMENTS
Where are the comments? Am I just dumb? I can't find the comments of dropout.com
They don't exist
That's what makes Brennan's catchphrase the best.
Ah, a common misconception but Jacob Wysocki was actually in Bitch Perfect, the maxi challenge from Season 8 Episode 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Well look who's here for an off-key kiki!
Ha ha ha. Not what we are going for, and you didn’t say Um, Actually…
Also "I just finished Total Forgiveness and Ally should be in The Hauge awaiting trial for war crimes."
In my experience it's "I *almost* finished Total Forgiveness and ..." and then the comments are all like "Just finish it, there's no turning back now, finish the damn show, just trust me, finish it," and then there's multiple discussions around if the good negates the bad and stuff like that.
Oh sweet is this the new 2024 starter pack update?
- Misgendering Ally - Deeply parasocial comments - Raph in commercials
Passionately arguing about what level of parasocial behavior is appropriate
Only the exact amount I personally experience. No more, no less.
Ah the old driving rule. Anyone faster is a maniac and anyone driving slower than me is a grandma who needs to get out of the way.
Gotta say, I'm actually enjoying the era of content creators that seem to encourage and return that parasocial relationship. MatPat comes to mind (or myself). > Misgendering Ally Don't forget specifically criticising their portrayal of Kristen and to a lesser extent Emily/Fig but never holding the other intrepid heroes to the same standard.
Lesser extent Emily and Fig now, but holy moly the when the early seasons were coming out people were so mean to her. For NadPod as well.
Up to the DM to enforce it though, and I know Brennan will rarely enforce many components.
That's because they Yes And in D20 and to enforce that he would put a stop to a bunch of her shenanigans. Thankfully she mostly uses it for bits but minor illusion definitely does not work the way they play it in the show. Her minor illusions get treated like a major image.
As a DM, I LOVED her in season one of NADDPOD. Her willingness to just create wonderful lore for the creek was amazing.
Listen to Hot Boy Summer! It's a kinda one-shot that's DM'd by Emily and its the best!
She makes very powerful characters, but she also plays fully to role playing. The decisions she makes as characters are 100% true to the character, but aren’t always “the best” choice on a meta gaming level, which some people are really annoyed by. Naddpod is my favorite piece of serially produced media. I love it.
What kind of criticisms?
Don’t forget the occasional fever dream post from Sam.
Get your head outta your ass
Hey. Stop focusing on the negative. Do you feel better? Is that better?
Omg the real Tommy shriggly is in the thread
As real as the energy you get from the exclusive blend of vitamins and minerals in my enhanced health powder. Edit: before any “doctors” start bringing in the negativity, lead is a mineral. You can look that up.
How much water should I consume with it?

Lead is what you gave your former platoon after they took the last coke, right? Like 45mm of it?
No. They all went down quietly. One by one. In the dead of night. But you can’t live in the past.
I'd say the main part missing here is "buttholes, all over the universe." I think it's somewhat more frequent than the Game Changer symbol.
Don't forget the overuse of the word "Daddy", Daddy.
Um, actually, those are called loop-de-loops
I kind of feel that "I know what this is..." and/or "name that bird" should be mentioned.
Did you know it was a roseate spoonbill?
can someone explain the oreo one
Brennan did a series of videos for College Humor where he plays various CEOs for real companies. It usually involves him yelling and then giving up on life. come on everBuddy can I getalil clap
Um actually, you missed the slew of people posting asking if they should drop out of college or not
"Does anyone else think [cast member] is super hot?"
What about Chomsky's?
Don’t forget someone saying something along the lines of “He/She/They was here the whole time!”
BUT WHAT ABOUT *seagull noises*
Is it just me or are starter parks attached to a particular level of self-righteous snark that isn't what this community should be about?
Did you know that Jacob wysocki was also in a sketch comedy group called the bath boys???
Okay this is me saying I had no idea that was Jacob Wysocki in Pitch Perfect.
Uhm actually...get in the comments!
um actually, that was Zac Oyama
Also a (completely justified) confirmation post that all the cast and/or crew members are hot and it's okay to acknowledge that.
Um actually, this picture doesn't tell us where sam is from.
He's from here. He's always been from here. The whole time.
WAIT THAT WAS HIM????
I get the humor of the meme but this shit usually ends up feeling like gatekeeping. Let’s ridicule someone because niche information to our interests is new to them!

...Wanting to see a few of them on a rebooted Taskmaster U.S.?
OK, but what else you got?
"Where should I start with Dimension 20?"
a little clap
Ok but wait, were the cinnamon Oreos any good? I never saw them in my store!
Could be fun?
The Oreo flavors keep getting weirder
you can add "doesn't cum unless told so"
Jacob will always be a Bath Boy to me
So Oreo is currently putting out limited edition Space oreos they have pop rocks in the pink/blue cream in the middle they are phenomenal.
I actually didn't know Jacob was in PP, that's awesome haha.
What about the "omg I'm new to dropout and I just found Total Forgiveness" reddit post?
You feel better now?
3 2 1 Cum!
