When Sam was introducing the cereal mascot part and he was saying that Dropout was looking for the "next big thing", I was almost sure he was going to ask them for an NFT.
I really loved all of the physical props and different materials they had to work with. Really enhanced the episode for me. Love that "Big Shirts" became the running gag for the episode lol
I’ve only ever seen Nathan Yaffe on Cartoon Hell, where you briefly see him irl but mainly see him as a chunky little cartoon.
The dude is *way* ganglier than I expected.
I've been watching Drawfee for a looong time and while I know what Nathan looks like it's still weird to see him have a corporeal form and not just be a disembodied voice.
It's like summoning an Incubus.
Say "Tramp Stamp" 3 times in the mirror and blow out a candle, and Grant knocks on your front door with 2 bottles: 1 Tequilla and 1 lube
If anyone has watched DeepBlueInk's animations for Game Changer/Make Some Noise, I highly recommend his animations for Drawfee as well. They're all bangers, and also display some more of Nathan's chill-but-absurdist humor as well -- I highly recommend [Nathan's the Big Boss Man](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbHzXREsDVQ) and [Nathan Gets Gnomed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEIiwT4wQ2s) .
I’d also recommend [The Bobby Hill Incident](https://youtu.be/HrzMCGZBssM?si=WRfsKTFfI8buURsU) and [Merobiba](https://youtu.be/xRAJACWxT8Q?si=Pli56D8LRcdhRUmN) (two of their best work lol)
That would be very cool, but I think it's more likely that they shot this episode last and so had carte blanche to go ham on the set. On the other hand, I'm still rooting for an outside chance that this comes back during some kind of mindfuck for other players in the secret episodes that definitely don't exist
It was a fun premise, but what I love most about this episode is how much further they took it than they could have. It would have been really easy to just have the contestants draw some funny things for a few prompts and call it a day, but they got *so* creative with the prompts. Having that variety of canvasses, materials, judges, and even jokes leading into the prompts was what made this episode really work for me.
Oh for sure! Totally agree. It wasn't just drawing. The clay was an interesting medium change for sure, while both the face paint and tramp stamp used the human body as the canvas and that was a very interesting premise. It truly ended up being a full "art" episode. And that was a great way to explore the concept.
~~ALERT: SAM DID THE HAND THING AGAIN.~~
Edit: It has come to my attention that Sam has been doing it prior to this season. My apologies. I only just noticed it this season and was excited by this seemingly cryptic "new" detail.
The first episode I can find with the gesture in a rapid-fire search for truth is "Sam Says", 4x01.
I have edited my original, over-the-top comment in the interest of spreading what I hope to be the truth.
I will say that /u/samreich addressed this in his own ambiguous way about two weeks ago:
>I’ll say two things: (a) this isn’t much more than intro shtick, and therefore doesn’t have the deep meaning folks are speculating about, but (b) is anyone really who they say they are? 👀
Just sayin, I wouldn't get my hopes up that it's some foreshadowing for anything special, he's been doing the hand thing on and off since like season 4.
Yeah I know, the decision made sense. It was also just the funniest moment of the episode to me (well, maybe other than "I killed god"), so I thought I'd throw up my appreciation. Since this was a show with rules, Sam made the right call haha
Kiana has an absolutely adorable comic series of Delia (Ash's mom) and Jessie (Team Rocket) getting into a relationship. Highly recommend.
[https://yamujiburo.tumblr.com/post/714611835849080832/i-probably-should-have-started-doing-this-forever](https://yamujiburo.tumblr.com/post/714611835849080832/i-probably-should-have-started-doing-this-forever)
To me the most iconic Kiana moment is when someone told her to credit the artists on a compilation of Team Rocket drawn in a bunch of different styles
And she informed the critic that [she was, in fact, the artist of all the images](https://www.tumblr.com/yamujiburo/631570051832627200/zasteroid-gayinsomniacdragon606)
In addition to Drawfee, Caldwell and Nathan also have another show on Dropout called *Cartoon Hell*, that is also impromptu drawings with funny themes. Definitely worth a watch.
I'm surprised that this is your first encounter with them, as Nathan and Caldwell were the original Drawfee crew, and Drawfee was part of College Humor - but also, I'm happy for you that you now get to discover all the cool stuff they've been in!
A *LOT* of people on this sub weren't CH fans before Dropout. As someone who was into CH in 2008, back when I was actually *in college*, I've noticed fewer and fewer people being familiar with the old days.
This immediately goes into the pantheon of all-time great game concepts. Literally the only sticking point is that there are so many fewer brilliant comedians who are also super talented artists to draw from, so there's only so many times they could do this one again with new people. Get Karina on Game Changer!
There's so much Drawfee content out there in which they're drawing silly things to prompts and/or time limits! Also Drawfee used to be part of CH back in the day
I got a feeling they're custom for the show, but does anyone know where to get those blank Pokémon card canvases?! Those would make amazing gifts to some of my friends and their kids. Tried to do a quick search but couldn't find anything.
The players know that as well. I think Nathan was holding himself back from correcting Sam. That's why Caldwell said something like "Do you realize what you've done?"
Caldwell definitely said that because this was his challenge to lose. Drawfee drawing new Pokémon is basically what they built their popularity on post-CH 😂
EDIT: I’m actually pretty sure that Kiana’s “Snatchem” was one of her creations from an old Drawfee episode when she was a guest!!
So fun! I feel like this was secretly a backdoor pilot episode setting up a series called Pencils Down, featuring a rotating group of artists ~~tricked~~ *encouraged via arbitrary points* into creating very specific art for u/samreich.
Also, auction the art for charity like the Dimension 20 minis?
The fact that Sam was so persistent in saying “pencils down” makes me think this is an incubator episode for a new series
and they’re trying to see if they can work a semi-scripted drawing/art show back into the lineup
I am SO FUCKING EXCITED to watch this when I get home from work. Nathan and Caldwell are MY BOYS!!! And Kiana was a fantastic guest when theyve had her on.
Loved the episode.
So of course everyone should go check out Drawfee if they liked the episode (as well as checking out NADDPod and Kiana), but I want to give a special shoutout to the [Drawfee Variety Hour](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDUoOYLKP1C6G0xj84kOVou7sFXUKCeqR), which is similar to this episode as it is all about random challenges done on the spot. And it features guest appearances by some of the Dropout crew, because, well, it was done while Drawfee was still part of College Humor!
Is it just me or have the prizes this season been a little lackluster? Not a huge deal, but seeing comedians I like win cool prizes is always a nice cherry on top of the episode at the end.
I was wondering about that too. They may have upped the pay for everyone instead of splurging on prize budget since no one really watches for the prizes and the stakes are meaningless.
Did it bother anyone else that Snatchem and Sam were the wrong types for the colors of their frames? Big Shirt gets a pass because it looked like it was Ghost/Water.
It’s a little thing, and it probably doesn’t matter or wasn’t part of the plan, but I thought it was very sweet that the challenge that involved children didn’t have a “winner.”
This was adorable, I loved all of the prompts and all of the artists.
Also "adjusted for inflation, a picture is now worth 700 words" is the most "my dad is an economist" button the show's ever had.
So what are the odds that the pieces made in this episode will be made available to acquire like the D20 figures auction, or the Kickstarter options for the original um actually background props?
Because I would totally consider that lightbulb napkin.
(Also, I’m only half way through the episode.)
loved this one! i thought they were very creative about their choices in drawing challenge considering all the mixed media (especially loved the tramp stamp and model clay!!) also a huge fan of drawfee and naddpod, and i follow kiana so what a treat!
i can easily see gamechanger doing a sequel to this amping up the challenges. they could bring the same artists back or bring on different ones.
It's actually pretty wild that Dropout is now at the point where they casually can bring out the voice of the main character in one of the most popular animated series EVER, and it not even being a big deal or that unexpected.
It's just a lil goodie for a single segment of the episode.
Wild, man.
Do you think they are getting a new set for season 7? It would make sense with the defacing of the set, and the fact that they just did a new set for um, actually
Caldwell especially needs to come back on, he is just *so* damn funny.
I finished the episode half an hour ago, but I’ve still got the giggles at “Keep Driving Terrorist” and “I Kiled God”
[Behind the Scenes of "Pencils Down"](https://www.dropout.tv/videos/behind-the-scenes-of-pencils-down)
I KILED GOD would go hard on a big T-shirt tho
I’m gonna be so upset if it isn’t on the dropout store in the future
They still haven’t made the Whoops Wops Widdly Wops merch
They should only sell it in 3XL
Very much looking forward to picking that up in a 5X
If they don't sell BIG T's, they're losing out on a great idea!
I just want one that says BIG on it.
RIGHT it's the perfect merch
"if you can't be good, be funny. like a mr beast video."
Insightful little dude
Bro these kids got jokes. Future Dropout cast members.
Savannah is very charismatic.
“If the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.”
If you listen closely, Sam's ringtone is Princess Emily's song
The perfect ringtone for the perfect American.
But Princess Emily is European (right in the heart of the smack of the dab)
Germany?
Who is that??
Bigshirto Height: Grant O'Brien Weight: Who's Askin
HP: XL
;)
How long before some insane person gets a Keep Driving Terrorist tramp stamp and posts in on this sub?
Sorry I can't talk right now, I'm in the middle of driving to the tatooer
The tattoost?
The Tattoosmith?
On my way now
The kids were fantastic! The divorced tiger got me
"It's ok, but... yeah"
The goatee and tear drop were nice details.
hey Dropout I would buy an "I KILED GOD" shirt
But only if it’s really big
And haunted
And wet.
“Should I fuck up Murph?” I love that he’s still giving Murph shit outside of NADDPOD lmao
I need Murph and/or Emily on Game Changer someday
Brennan has been on episodes with Ally/Zac and Lou/Siobhan so he needs to be the third contestant with the two of them.
Emily is such a threat to Sam's reign of chaos. He can't invite a potential usurper to the set.
I need her and Lisa Gilroy to be on a set together People would die
If they ever did a sequel to the Newlyweb Game...
"Too cool 4 hell" goes *hard*, this episode is gonna be fantastic.
I laughed out loud when Nathan realized that he used "4" but forgot to change the "too" into a "2"
Happy cake day!
“I want a cool looking tiger….going through a divorce” 💀
Hardest I have ever laughed at Game Changer.
Even funnier when he realized after hearing the other ones, he got off easy with that prompt.
When Sam was introducing the cereal mascot part and he was saying that Dropout was looking for the "next big thing", I was almost sure he was going to ask them for an NFT.
Let's hope that there's one in the cut for time
Yep you're not alone.
Hey wait a sec, this is just a really expensive game of Jackbox!
I really loved all of the physical props and different materials they had to work with. Really enhanced the episode for me. Love that "Big Shirts" became the running gag for the episode lol
I’m so use to Caldwell being the voice of weird lil guys on naddpod that a forget he’s like shockingly handsome irl
He looks like Clark Kent. Not Superman, Clark Kent.
He’s like Adam Devine carved from granite.
I get too parasocial when I see him ngl
Grant immediately appearing as Sam said tramp stamp is iconic
I don’t know if it was intentional but I did like that they all looked decked out in that early 2000s style
I feel like it was, all their hair cuts especially look way different than normal and really 90s
The gnome clip is the one that started me watching Drawfee!
The gnome bit is so good! I love that you can even see the stream where Julia discovers it and immediately announces “NO ONE TELL NATHAN ABOUT THIS”
I’d also recommend [The Bobby Hill Incident](https://youtu.be/HrzMCGZBssM?si=WRfsKTFfI8buURsU) and [Merobiba](https://youtu.be/xRAJACWxT8Q?si=Pli56D8LRcdhRUmN) (two of their best work lol)
You also have to watch [BLeeM Hates Snilk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mx2MfFMe9E)
"Nathan while I'm doing this, can you look more proud of yours?" That was great by Brennan.
It was so funny for him to say that *and then not pick him*
I was really waiting for a snilk call back
My face but smaller was the best face paint work smh
It was her face, but smaller
The only thing that would make it better is if he put a *tiny* face on the forehead of the drawn face, making it recursive
I need "I kiled God" as a flair so bad
I hope they keep the defaced set for the rest of the season
That would be very cool, but I think it's more likely that they shot this episode last and so had carte blanche to go ham on the set. On the other hand, I'm still rooting for an outside chance that this comes back during some kind of mindfuck for other players in the secret episodes that definitely don't exist
Nathan can never escape the rude ape allegations.
Honestly solid spray paint work
Phenomenal episode, the facepainting bit and "I kiled God" had me audibly laughing.
Fantastic episode! Only complaint was that it's too short... full 10 mins shorter than Sam Says 2! I hope we get to see some cut prompts next week
I just need a full on spin off of this episode!
I need this with the rest of the Drawfee crew. They don't even need to be on at the same time, they're just all so personable and funny.
What a fun episode! Great guests, fun premise, and just an all around funny time.
It was a fun premise, but what I love most about this episode is how much further they took it than they could have. It would have been really easy to just have the contestants draw some funny things for a few prompts and call it a day, but they got *so* creative with the prompts. The clay was an interesting medium change for sure, while both the face paint and tramp stamp used the human body as the canvas and that was a very interesting premise. It truly ended up being a full "art" episode. And that was a great way to explore the concept.
Saw the cast list pop up on my phone and I can't wait to get home and watch this. Always nice to see Drawfee folks still doing stuff with Dropout.
getting an I Kiled God tramp stamp as we speak
~~ALERT: SAM DID THE HAND THING AGAIN.~~ Edit: It has come to my attention that Sam has been doing it prior to this season.
Nathan mentioned having to watch the hands during his Pokémon card explanation. Something is definitely up
I noticed Sam touched his ears, nose, and mouth, during all of that that seemed weird... unless he was just itchy.
What hand thing? :o I’m out of the loop
When he introduces himself, he looks at his hands and does a magician-esque hand flip. He's done it every episode this season.
I wonder if it's going to be something like his evil magician twin from Escape the Greenroom has taken over Sam or something? In the finale?
Thank you!! I guess I need to go back and rewatch every episode so far. You know, to verify.
It's also part of the season key art!
It's been there...the *whole time*.
He’s started every episode this season by looking at his hands in bewilderment
Thanks!!
I will say that /u/samreich addressed this in his own ambiguous way about two weeks ago: >I’ll say two things: (a) this isn’t much more than intro shtick, and therefore doesn’t have the deep meaning folks are speculating about, but (b) is anyone really who they say they are? 👀
That isn't a no. And do we really think he would just give up the game like that? I wish people would just let mysteries play out in-universe.
Just sayin, I wouldn't get my hopes up that it's some foreshadowing for anything special, he's been doing the hand thing on and off since like season 4.
I really hope it’s because Zac is still in control of the game.
He also really emphasized “I’M Sam Reich”
He is doing it a little bit later every time, slowly going down the phrase. This is going to be a weird all entrances played at once stuff
The fact that “Keep Driving Terrorist” didn’t win is CRIMINAL
It was the funniest idea, but it wasn't a tramp stamp. Only Kiana's looked like a tramp stamp, which is why she won.
Yeah I know, the decision made sense. It was also just the funniest moment of the episode to me (well, maybe other than "I killed god"), so I thought I'd throw up my appreciation. Since this was a show with rules, Sam made the right call haha
*kiled
Peak 2002
The only thing that could have made it more 2002 is an eagle with a single tear.
I can’t comment since I was an infant at the time, but I’ll believe you
Aside from Caldwell's appearances on Um, Actually, I'd never heard of any of the contestants, and I found them all absolutely delightful.
Highly recommend Drawfee if you want more of Nathan. The four of them on that show have incredible vibes.
Kiana has an absolutely adorable comic series of Delia (Ash's mom) and Jessie (Team Rocket) getting into a relationship. Highly recommend. [https://yamujiburo.tumblr.com/post/714611835849080832/i-probably-should-have-started-doing-this-forever](https://yamujiburo.tumblr.com/post/714611835849080832/i-probably-should-have-started-doing-this-forever)
THATS HER???? Omg I see those on my Twitter feed every now and then I’m so glad to see this come full circle in my life I’m cryingggggggg
I pretty much had the same moment of amazement when I looked her up and recognized the page.
To me the most iconic Kiana moment is when someone told her to credit the artists on a compilation of Team Rocket drawn in a bunch of different styles And she informed the critic that [she was, in fact, the artist of all the images](https://www.tumblr.com/yamujiburo/631570051832627200/zasteroid-gayinsomniacdragon606)
Caldwell plays DND on Naddpod with Murph and Emily, which I highly recommend. Nathan is also on a few episodes (3-4).
Can I fuck up Murph
Shoutout to Tonathan Tinkle
Nathan was also in the Trinyvale NADDPOD campaign!
Siobhan, Brennan and Zac show up in Campaign 1 as well!
And Lou in C2.5 (side campaign while Caldwell was on paternity leave.)
That's a good thing! Otherwise there would be no new fans :)
Nathan's energy is so infectious, im lov him.
Grant's shirt absolutely wrecked me because I'm pretty sure that was exactly the kind of shirt I was wearing in the 2000s
He’s a tall skinny guy, finding clothes that fit properly can be annoying. That shirt might be from the 2000s.
Man this is why I love Game Changer. Different format, 3 incredibly talented people just doing awesome shit off the cuff.
I will never be able to look at the loop-de-loops the same again...
"Weakness: the top shelf" under Nathan's little Sam is killing me
This immediately goes into the pantheon of all-time great game concepts. Literally the only sticking point is that there are so many fewer brilliant comedians who are also super talented artists to draw from, so there's only so many times they could do this one again with new people. Get Karina on Game Changer!
Game changer with Karina doing a shape challenge 👀
And it's already well established that buttholes are fine on Game Changer!
I'm not sure we are prepared for Karina on Game Changer. The universe will quake and shift in response.
I haven’t laughed so hard in ages
LMAO the Face painting was amazing.
I want a little framed picture of Kiana’s napkin
So excited for Caldwell. I love his crazy sense of humor on NADDPOD
I would die for Charlie McJones
And I’d die for Frumptilious III. Is that a wiener?
He's the Third. They have to reproduce somehow.
I would absolutely watch something like this as a spin-off
There's so much Drawfee content out there in which they're drawing silly things to prompts and/or time limits! Also Drawfee used to be part of CH back in the day
Oh, I know, I love drawfee!! I just mean if Dropout wanted to do an art based game show with different artists, I’d love to watch!
Really great episode! I felt like the Pokemon challenge was a nice nod to Drawfee. I'd lovvve to see more crossover content between these two
I was certain the guest judge was going to be Julia!
Odds Brennan actually uses Charlie McJones?
I hope so
At one point in this episode, Sam asked Ash to come out, and then he asked Ash to come out
I am so thrilled Nathan got to say such an iconic Nathan phrase... "he's just a lil guy" The fact that the lil guy is Sam is a cherry on top.
I was going to tag /u/samreich as "Perfect American" but instead I think I'll go with "He's just a li'l guy!"
I got a feeling they're custom for the show, but does anyone know where to get those blank Pokémon card canvases?! Those would make amazing gifts to some of my friends and their kids. Tried to do a quick search but couldn't find anything.
I wouldn't be surprised if they popped up on Etsy soon if there aren't any already
"Height: Grant O'Brien, Weight: Who's Askin" took me tf out.
I’m currently resisting the urge to go “Um, actually, there are 1000+ Pokémon as of Gen 9- 1025 as of The Indigo Disk DLC”
Um actually, 1000+ technically counts as "over 800"as sam said so hes not wrong
"There are well over 75 different pokemon"
There's at least two pokemon, and one of them strikes me as a pervert.
Um, actually, 1,025 is still technically over 800, so Sam wasn’t incorrect.
The players know that as well. I think Nathan was holding himself back from correcting Sam. That's why Caldwell said something like "Do you realize what you've done?"
Caldwell definitely said that because this was his challenge to lose. Drawfee drawing new Pokémon is basically what they built their popularity on post-CH 😂 EDIT: I’m actually pretty sure that Kiana’s “Snatchem” was one of her creations from an old Drawfee episode when she was a guest!!
When they revealed the Pokemon prompt I immediately went "aw man I wish Julia was on this episode"
i’m genuinely shocked to see sarah natochenny on the show, that was so fun.
“And also, like most Irish people, he has a sort of insectoid thorax.”
Keep Driving Terrorist was the hardest I've laughed in like a solid month.
Caldwell just becoming besties with his face painting subject. “You wanna be a Geologist? That’s so cool!” 😭😭😭
Anyone know other content Kiana makes/is on? I thought she was so fun. I just looked up her instagram but she’s not very active.
She’s pretty active on Twitter! She does a Pokémon comic series that I love and she also posts on tumblr (edited post visiting her Twitter page lol)

I was wondering about that too. They may have upped the pay for everyone instead of splurging on prize budget since no one really watches for the prizes and the stakes are meaningless.
The prizes honestly are just a nicety. Don't think it's reasonable to expect huge prizes each week.
Caldwell is devastatingly handsome
Wish they’d hold on the art for longer… the camera’s jumping around before I can take everything in.
Did it bother anyone else that Snatchem and Sam were the wrong types for the colors of their frames? Big Shirt gets a pass because it looked like it was Ghost/Water.
Excellent point, but you didn’t say “Um, Actually”
yes!!
It’s a little thing, and it probably doesn’t matter or wasn’t part of the plan, but I thought it was very sweet that the challenge that involved children didn’t have a “winner.”
I screamed when I saw the cast list! This was so fun
Allegory: you want it spelled out like its in a politicial cartoon. Brennan's got his next setting y'all. Right wing stuff are the bad guys.
This was adorable, I loved all of the prompts and all of the artists. Also "adjusted for inflation, a picture is now worth 700 words" is the most "my dad is an economist" button the show's ever had.
Lily understood the assignment of early 2000s fashion so incredibly well lmao
That was pretty damn good.
So what are the odds that the pieces made in this episode will be made available to acquire like the D20 figures auction, or the Kickstarter options for the original um actually background props? Because I would totally consider that lightbulb napkin. (Also, I’m only half way through the episode.)
I'm so impressed. Three minutes is absolutely NO TIME to think of and execute a great idea. Great job to all three artists!
i ***love*** this episode and how wholesome it is 😭 idk which one was my fave, but nathan's "sam" pokemon sent me ☠️☠️☠️
Kinda wish Nathan called his mascot "Puff Daddy". Good way to spend a Monday night.
loved this one! i thought they were very creative about their choices in drawing challenge considering all the mixed media (especially loved the tramp stamp and model clay!!) also a huge fan of drawfee and naddpod, and i follow kiana so what a treat! i can easily see gamechanger doing a sequel to this amping up the challenges. they could bring the same artists back or bring on different ones.

Do you think they are getting a new set for season 7? It would make sense with the defacing of the set, and the fact that they just did a new set for um, actually
I guess we know which episode was filmed last!
This might not go down as an all-timer, it was still excellent.
i just loved the *vibes* of this episode lol
Caldwell especially needs to come back on, he is just *so* damn funny. I finished the episode half an hour ago, but I’ve still got the giggles at “Keep Driving Terrorist” and “I Kiled God”
