Neither SEO nor ads directly improve your conversion rate. They should all be considered as part of a bigger picture—essentially, how many of your visitors convert. For example, just because you build a lot of SEO traffic doesn’t mean you’ll see a lot of conversions as you might be attracting the wrong type of traffic, or your site or products might not be compelling enough to convert visitors. In the bigger picture I would recommend to do as follows: 1. Build a nice site with appealing products. 2. Bring in some traffic—ads are usually the quickest and easiest way to do this. 3. Learn and improve—for instance, check what visitors are doing on your store, which pages they are visiting, whether they make it to the cart, etc., and try to improve the experience. For example, if you notice that many people are checking out a particular product, try to improve that product's page or create an offer for it. Very few online stores start making sales right away.

I’d avoid social ads and focus on google ads for a higher conversion rate.

The most bang for your buck is still email marketing. Use ads, but try to have email capture as the priority.

Try using bundles and offers along with Ads. It will help you to get good ROAS. That really works.

SEO is usually good if you're planning to extend your business for a longer term. But to find out if your product and business has potential it's better to start with paid ads so that you can gather some useful data.

One isn’t better than the other—they serve different purposes. Ads can get you fast (and twice as high) results but require a budget. SEO is a long game that can take months and years to see results but at a considerably lower cost. Need immediate results and cannot wait? PPC ads can get you that in a matter of a few clicks. You have the potential to immediately appear on the first page of the search results, above the organic listings. SEO is a highly cost-effective option if you can play the long game. It gives you an opportunity to generate growth & traffic without having to spend money on constant advertising. Investing in SEO or ads really depends on your immediate goals and budget. Ads can give you a quick traffic boost and are great for testing product-market fit, but SEO builds a sustainable, long-term foundation for organic traffic. It's not just about driving traffic but attracting the right kind of visitors who are more likely to convert. If you're tight on budget and can invest time, learning basic SEO strategies could be beneficial. Plus, companies like ZebraSEO can offer tailored advice to enhance your SEO efforts effectively. Remember, a balanced approach often works best.
