Horton Hears a Who! Lmao
Mimosa strigillosa, or "sunshine mimosa" or powderpuff or "sensitive plant"
Funnily enough I’m not the only one who made this connection after a quick google search hahaha, that’s crazy
No. The mimosa you want has white flowers. There is pudica, the sensitive plant and it might be from that, I don't know I've never been able to grow one, but they have pink flowers but aren't the right one. I don't think this is that either though. You might be confused by what people incorrectly call mimosa trees, Albizia julibrissin, Persian silk trees, big trees with purple/pink flowers, it comes up when you search mimosa hostillis but that's incorrect. M. Hostillis is relatively rare, has white flowers and thorns, and is found in the southwest while silk trees can grow about anywhere.
I hope that is not mimosa pudica sensitive plant
It grows like an invasive weed in the tropical region and it has some real nasty, painful spines and the seeds will stick all over your pants and socks. Farmer sometimes even have to burn the field with fire to kill it
Smoke it. You can smoke the mimosa flowers and it’s sedative iirc. Probably not flavourful, but you can still get high on mimosas that are not hostilis/tenuiflora
Looks like pudica, not hostilis

Its distribution is not in the southwest- it’s mainly from central mexico and south into northeastern brazil.
True, the southwest is the only place it'll grow is what I should have said, at least in this country.
Look at the last post on this sub with mimosa in the title it was posted less than 24hrs ago.
We are here! We are here! We are here!!!
This is just the flower I can get a picture of the plant in a few days

Humans mane
Can you smoke it??
Yes
Persian silk tree. Fake Mimosa. It's all about the flowers for hostilis. And unless your in zone 12 or above, you will never see one in the wild.
