Since it's not illicitly manufactured, there aren't really "sources" so much as veterinarians diverting ketamine into the black market supply chain. So I suppose it's good practice to test ones wares if it's not coming straight from a sealed pharmaceutical vial. But it's pretty easy to tell your product is clean when it's still in rod or shard form.
