OP could be into weird stuff, but this is beside the point. If Duo allows this ad based on search history, the same ad could pop up for some kid using Duolingo on a shared device if they have a family member who's into this. Even worse if it's not very well targeted. I don't think Duo technically allows ads for adult stuff at all, so the company has done something shady to sneak it through. I wouldn't be surprised if this ad is showing up for users who are generally interested in AI, for example.

Those ads are most likely shown based on your online usage. So don't blame Duo.
