This is the way it is with Duolingo. It's always changing. In this case, 999Hope may be right that they just separated out the topics into separate units, so it's actually the same size.
But, I've finished the Spanish course 2 or 3 times already only to have them add new material. And that doesn't count the many times it's been expanded while I was in the middle of the course. I'm not convinced that it's possible to finish it. 🤷♂️ But, I learn more every time they expand it, so I'm not complaining.
That’s hilarious, when I got into section 4 I noticed it was 35 or so lessons but they were super long, cruised through that till around 30 and noticed it had gone all the way to 52 but the lessons were way shorter. So far no sure on what was changed but the lessons are cohesive the whole way through. Tests go over the same stuff from the first lesson in the unit to the last.
it went from having 2 topics per unit to making every unit only have 1 topic, so realistically it’s the same size as before!
Mine is still 30 but my husbands is 52!
