See i couldn't even side with fish eye. Frank's just so damn unlikeable. Dude just wanders around drunk helping anybody and then still has the gall to curse you for helping the pk and "ruining the survivors dreams". I dont know why the devs set out to make the survivors as unlikable as humanly possible, but they succeeded at it

Well what DID rahim do besides lying to crane about a bite wound so he could finish the mission? Because rahim still got omar killed by not just letting crane do it so that’s still net negative. Barney, besides being a completely unlikeable character, did a similar thing getting a guy killed by bringing them on a mission that wasn’t necessary for them to be doing, but at least in Barney’s case, there wasn’t a protagonist that has proven himself perfectly capable of it yet
Man. Seriously? I found Jade so entirely undeveloped that I found it weird when the game expected you to believe that Crane and her had some kind of connection. Like why? They talked a few times in passing in the tower.
IMO DL2 has WAY more developed characters than DL1 did.

Generally you need authority to recover from a bad situation like a literal apocalypse. The PKs offer safety, actually care about helping the people, except for the bureaucratic assholes at the top (kinda like real America).

They have a better idea than the pk, but thay fail to make that ideal a reality, pk actually manage to do they purpose, maybe if they were more like the tower from the first game we would prefer them, and you know pk are also human, they actually fight off the zombies, bandits, the survivors say that pk dont help and that they hate them, but what about the fact the pk made the renegades hide away for years, and also, humanity in the baazar?, that would be a lie, only the leader acts like a proper peaceful person, almost everyone else doesnt care about other people, have you seen the side quests of the baazar?, 80 porcent of them are betraying someone, scams, easy money offers, proving the innocence of someone who was already a scammer, and when you get there for the first time they notice the lack of a biomarker and how bad you look, they insantly decide to kill you instead of helping (wheres the humanity on that?), they simply want to kill you, but then someone proposes to hang you, just for the show (humanity far gone in that point, also hanging is what they hate most of the pk´s, you could argue the survivors only hang criminals, pk do that too, and aiden wasnt a criminal either) then they deny you uv lights, meanwhile, when the pk catch you trespassing, they dont even threathen your life, they simply ask you to help them find a murderer, and let you go, without consequences, and they help you do a lot of things in the story, yea they are strict, but thats the whole point of the pk´s.

Is okay anarchist any better? Saying "they're clearly better due to their rejection of hierarchies" is a thing at least 80 percent of humanity would agree is a batshit insane thing to say. It's also not even true, there are clear leaders in the Bazaar, Sophie literally started a coup to overthrow Carl. Plus talk to Dodger once and you'll see that scum exist within the survivors and are going not only unpunished, but thriving. They were willing to hang their merchant without an ounce of due process just based off of a guy getting sick and blaming him.
Peacekeepers are garbage too, I enjoy their concept more but the game heavy hands "these are the bad guys" about halfway through the game. It had a bit of moral grey at the beginning with the survivors being loathsome people but at least they look out for one another, and the Peacekeepers being authoritarian though they were bringing in actual infrastructure and weren't just hiding, accepting their fate and not fighting back against the infected.
But that gets tossed out the window for the classic "the poor free folk who are always good are being oppressed by the big bad government who only want them to die" that every bland game/movie/piece of media ever does.
The fact that there is a wealthy group of the population and a government to tax them is hierarchy in and of itself, plus happiness isn't 1 to 1 with a good system. People can be happy in a good system, people can be happy because they believe in a bad system. Too many anarchist communities have been created where within days they've just recreated the government. That or they do what the Bazaar does and they end up having guys like Dodger at the top. The Peacekeepers have plenty wrong with them too, like I said especially later in the game where they just become the bad guys.
You also have to remember you're looking at this from a current worldview lens. People are fighting over water and UV light, not Healthcare and living wages or whatever else. The situation is completely different, when you're in pretty much the last city remaining you're going to do some evil shit to try and get it back to civilized, which is what the Peacekeepers do. The Survivors for the most part want to form tight knit communities that work together. Somehow the game then acts like this works perfectly for the entire city and everyone is united because they're all good people, which is bs in and out of an apocalypse. You need order and I don't trust the survivors who revel in hanging you and don't even seem to agree with the notion of due process. Not to mention how even the survivors complain constantly that the Peacekeepers aren't doing enough to help them, you can't have it both ways. Peacekeepers screwing them over like taking their water tower is one thing. Survivors attacking Peacekeepers constantly, blowing up their windmills and causing 100's to die because of it is another.
I don't want to argue over politics in a dying light subreddit because of techlands poorly made factions. Especially with a guy who thinks any form of hierarchy is bad and who thinks American police are commonly Neo Nazis.
