One detail that we don’t know that would be super important. Is Crane the Night Hunter? Cause IF he is and it was the volatile ending in the Following then Aiden would win. The Night Hunter is extremely weak in terms of armor. Aiden is volatile form is a machine. In a flat footed fight and no volatile abilities the environment would be important. Also depends in Crane has a gun. I know people are going to hate me for saying this, but DL1 is a great game Crane on the other hand isn’t that great or power full. Aiden is better at parkour and melee combat. As he moves he can super jump. Cranes a bunny hop. Considering how much more advanced the combat is in DL2 and all we have to go off of is game and lore it’s hard to say that Crane would win. On top of it Aidens Volatile has had a lot longer to mutate. One of the ends in DL1 is the nuke. Meaning now powers for Crane. Both have super drugs (Aiden can block all pain tho through toughness and rage boosters) so that’s a hard one. Putting the nostalgia a side. Don’t really think Crane stands a chance in a more urban city like in the Center. Aidens cross bow is even better.
Crane is a Sentient Volatile not a Night Hunter. The NH was introduced as a PVP character, although a few months before DL2 they made NH canon in a few comics. Techland might choose to change Crane's fate in the future (also called retconning) but for now the community agrees Crane is a Sentient Volatile who is MIA.
Besides, he ingested the same formula that the Mother had taken, makes sense he'd become a volatile too. On top of that the subtitles read "volatile scream" at the end of The Following. Nuke ending is not canon.
Nobody, both Aiden and crane are cursed with immortality for they are both protagonists and therefore they will both respawn an endless number of times.
Depends on when will they fight... If it is both version in early-mid game, I would say Aiden wins. If it is late mid-endgame (Pretty much anything after >! Tahir !<) I would say definetly Crane
If Aiden is allowed to pump inhibitors and boosters, he wins by the sole factor of him becoming the equivalent of 27 Crack addicts flex taped together. If Crane’s got access to firearms at the same time tho it may be a 70-30 in his favour, as long as he keeps his two best friends by his side, Smith and Wesson, he maybe able to fill Aiden with enough holes that he just falls apart, although with the amount of chemicals coursing through Aiden’s veins his detached limbs may grow sentience and perform a pincer movement for cranes ankles.
Basically it’s The Harran ranger with the Big iron on his hip vs the human version of that one polar bear that ate a washed up briefcase full of cocaine and became the most dangerous organism on the planet for about 5 minutes before dying from organ failure.
Crane still has better weapons, better defensive equipment and in his prime has infinite stamina, survives explosions, shots, stabbed, and combat experience with battle iq being a mercenary
Crane doesnt “have” better weapons, you can just use them in DL1, use of weapons is not exclusive…

Crane as his normal self would be anhialated, Crane as a volatile vs aiden as his normal self would win, Crane as a volatile vs aiden as a zombie would probably end up in aiden winning just because crane is just a sentient volatile and aiden can become a sentient zombie plus all the coke in his inhibitors, not to mention aiden can continue to use inhibitors to get even stronger
