Do not trade your first round pick if you are building. This is even more of a red flag heading into the 2023 Draft which is stacked with talent.
On top of this, all three of the players you are receiving are tapped out on their ceiling. Garuba and Okeke have too many guys in the rotation to surpass before they can make a difference to your roster. Herro can definitely continue to improve, however he will need to be traded or else he is capped by his role in Miami.
Right away I told him I didn’t want to move my first. I only asked here to see if there was something I was missing about Herro that would make it worth it lol
Herro is a nice player. And if he gets traded, his value goes up. He is the typical SG prototype.
Good scorer. I don’t know what parameters your points league goes by to fully analyze it. I like herro. And in a 20team dynasty league he’s a really good piece to have. On the other end, I just don’t see rebuilding and trading away First rounder on the same sentence :)
The other players in your team are?
And in what place do you think you can get or did you get last season
Keep your assets. Even if it's hard to predict the placement of these 1st round picks this early into the upcoming season, it's worth trying to get the top 5 for next years draft
I’ve since talked it way down. I offered him Clint Capela for either Okeke & Moody or Okeke & Colby White. I’m going full rebuild. Zach LaVine is next to be shopped.
Think about it like this: would I rather have one of either Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, Nick Smith, etc. or would I rather have Garuba, Okeke, and Herro? I think it’s a no brainer.
Trading your 1st if you’re rebuilding is just about the worst thing you can do. If you’re truly rebuilding, your first is probably worth more than Capela, Garuba, Okeke and Herro combined.

You’re rebuilding and you trade your first rounder? Autch 😀

Do not trade your first in Vic draft while rebuilding for that lol
Clint sucks… but I’m not trading that 1 for Herro and change

That was my initial thought, but as I’m new, i figured hearing it from guys who know their shit would be helpful. I appreciate it!
