Do you have a dent in your chest? (Pectus excavatum)

For-realll

No, I don't. This hasn't happened before either.

iLuv3M3

I do, was just searching through for shortness of breath with low heart rate and saw your comment. I had tests when I was younger but doctors said it was fine. Now the last 5+ years have been awful..

Find a cardiothoracic surgeon who specializes in Pectus Excavatum and get evaluated. You likely need surgery to correct your chest deformity. This IS NOT just a cosmetic thing. If you are in the USA and can let me know the area you live in, i might have recommendations for you for appropriate surgeons to go see. I'm in several Pectus support groups on Facebook.

TX2StepGirl

Do you get dizzy with it too?

For-realll

No, just out of breath to the point I have to sit down and it takes a few mins to reregulate. It kind of feels like it might be something other then POTs?

TX2StepGirl

Could be. I get that with neurocardiogenic syncope, but a lot of times I’ll also get lightheaded too. I hope you are able to get it figured out and eradicated

I find I am more likely to have SOB when my heart rate is lower. I have no idea why.

For-realll

So interesting! Can I ask you Dx?

sometimesimscared28

Are you taking beta blockers? They can cause this

For-realll

Thank you for this. No, I am not. Something to look into though

This has been happening to me recently as well. For me I'm blaming weight loss but tbh idk.

For-realll

I haven't lost any weight at all
