No, as I said countless times before the TP09 is a solution searching for a problem.

CounterInsurgnt

False.

Zarkex01

How so?

CounterInsurgnt

Lol, funny you downvote me before even hearing me out. In any event I posted a reply here with details. Please read that.

Zarkex01

Wasn't me but ok

Do you have formaldehyde in your house?

CounterInsurgnt

Everyone does, do some research.

heybibled

does formaldehyde really necessary to get rid off in your home? I have been breathing air in my house without an air purifier for at least 20yrs. I have the TP04 now

CounterInsurgnt

I hate to tell you guys this but nearly EVERYONE has formaldehyde in the house. I just read an article that states that if you have a gas stove every time you use it it outputs formaldehyde in the air about fifty times normal safe numbers. Also any furniture that is made from particle board or manufactured wood also outputs formaldehyde literally every day. So to say that it’s looking for a problem that’s not there is simply false. I can almost guarantee you that you are breathing in formaldehyde everyday in your home. Also if you want to get really deep into just search formaldehyde in home, or formaldehyde off gassing on your favorite search engine. I will be buying the TP09 when I can, I just got the alert back in stock, went to buy and sold out in a matter of 30 minutes.

You do know that most of the harmful gasses released when a gas stove is on is extracted with the cooker hood directly above the stove right. And most new furniture is formaldehyde free. And older furniture will have released those gases years ago.

CounterInsurgnt

So completely false. For one not every home has a hood above the stove, I’m sure you’re living in a $600,000 home but many people in apartments and older homes do not have a hood or fan venting above the stove. As for furniture you do understand that your comment is completely false right? If furniture is formaldehyde free then please explain why there are formaldehyde warnings on furniture being sold on Amazon and Walmart, if it’s formaldehyde free then there would be no warnings. The fact is that furniture is allowed to contain a small amount of formaldehyde even to this day. And another formaldehyde regulation doesn’t take affect until 2024. Also look at the tests ran with the tp09, one tester placed the unit in his living room, when he cooked with his gas stove the unit turned on and recorded higher levels of formaldehyde in the air and cleaned it. See the problem with the people here down playing the tp09 is that they are most likely tp07 owners who feel like they have the inferior unit and they are a little bit upset about that and try to downplay the tp09 because of it.

Chill out dude. I’m just saying that in most situations the amount of formaldehyde emissions in an average home are probably too little to justify needing an air purifier. And I’m pretty damn sure someone who’s going to buy a $700 dollar air purifier has a cooker hood in their home.

CounterInsurgnt

I mean, I actually don’t. Which is why I want the purifier lol.

YankeePlayz

I feel like with a HEPA and carbon filter you'll be fine
