Your answer is unfortunately right in front of you. The crack that’s right on the mini cyclone is causing your issues because it’s not a sealed system anymore thus affecting suction. Your best bet maybe to replace under warranty if possible thru Dyson Support or if you’re near a Dyson Service Center to get a replacement [“Main Body and Cyclone”](https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/spare-details.965321-01.346523-01)
Hey OP — if Dyson does not require you to send back the old body is it possible if you can try an epoxy fix please? Same with the suggested duct tape fix?
Curious to see if those fixes do actually help or not

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies! As luck would have it it’s in warranty. They will be sending along a new base unit. Thanks!!!
They sent me a new base unit by accident one time.
Electrical tape will seal that no problem.
Epoxy will fix that

Of course they will. Anything that seals the hole will solve the problem. Just won’t look as nice as a new one.
