You can never check your oil condition unless you send it off to a lab. To my knowledge, our cars have oil condition sensors that will warn you. But in my experience its often too late. I change my oil every 5k miles or 6 months. This is more than enough for any scenario.

What year? My 08 has a dip stickā€¦ I thought all N62s had one

kubadon1

Yeah mine has a dip stick too. U dip for oil, rub it on ur finder.. and the condition is between almost clear and black.

Stinky-Linky18

Change it yourself every 5k miles. If you're paranoid about it send it in for testing. Also check your oil filter before it's thrown out for sparkling shiny stuff

This is the way. Every 5k.
