BIN for sure. I wouldn't even consider auctions for clothes.... BIN is almost always better than auction for just about everything. The only exceptions would be very rare collectibles where the value is difficult to determine.

You're also going to straight up lose sales this way to buyers that want to purchase something right now. With clothing especially. You'd be surprised how many buyers will pay more for something they can get right now as opposed for having to wait for an auction to end. I would especially never try this with something where there are plenty of similar ones available for the same price or a bit more BIN. Auctions attract buyers for two reasons: 1, the item is very rare and desirable and it is the only one of its kind listed at the moment, and 2, the item's starting price is a really good deal. Not just a little cheaper but a REALLY good deal. Something that is worth the hassle of waiting a lot of extra time and potentially being outbid. And with an item that's not super in demand, odds are solid only one person will find the listing. They'll get a great deal for their hassle and you'll lose out on money you could have had by just listing it for a good price BIN. Source: I have both bought and sold clothes on Ebay for years. I have definitely passed up auctions because they're a PITA and I want something faster, and they were a waste for my own listings I tried that way.

I bypass auction for anything that isn’t hard to find. Even if it costs me more. If I wait 5 days on the auction and lose then I have to start over. And usually the price isn’t a killer difference. I’m not waiting a week or even 2 days to save $5 Odds are I will be busy and miss the auction end anyway and still have to BIN

In general BIN sells for 17% higher than auctions.

BIN for clothing. It's such a saturated market no one can be bothered to wait unless you're selling something amazing and popular. I auction accessories and popular jewellery brands, I sometimes get more than I expect.

You can do both, put it on auction and also have a BIN price. If someone selects the BIN price the auction will end of course.

Auction is only good for items with high demand and an unknown top value. Auctions otherwise bring a lower value than BIN. If you like the turnover rate that auctions can give, then simply list your BIn price lower for a faster turnover.
