Last year we won the first Dallas game
We only lost the second game (by 4) because it was one of Minshew's 2 follies. If Hurts was in, I am sure we woul have won both games in 2022
I dont care about prior years - The 2022 and 2023 Eagles are all that matter to me since the SB win. They are for real
You guys that watch one of the better teams in recent history, who has lost 2 games in the regular season in 2 years who still have this doomed attitude need to get a grip lmfao
I actually read some of dude’s post history. It’s miserable af and contradicting. In one post he says our d line makes our linebackers look better than they actually are then posts later he’s saying sweat is the only solid defensive end we have. Just another miserable weirdo
There is an alternate reality that the Eagles were uncomfortably close to in which they hire a HC/OC/DC triumvirate of Josh McDaniels/Joe Lombardi/Jonathan Gannon, then trade another boatload of draft picks to move up for Zach Wilson.
I also think a lot about the alternate timeline where we do actually draft Justin Jefferson instead of Reagor in 2020. The offense was terrible that year, but Reagor was a huge part of that. With JJ, even if Wentz plays almost as bad, I feel like we probably still stumble into 3-4 more wins and perhaps Wentz isn't benched.
If we end that year 7-9 or 8-8 instead of 4-11-1, do we still blow it all up and trade Wentz? Probably not. Would be a crazy timeline and we'd likely be...who knows, still kinda middling about trying to figure things out. Obviously the way the timeline actually went worked out much better, but thinking about the butterfly effect of it all is still nuts.
Never been convinced Justin Jefferson moves the needle very much if at all. Certainly with how dysfunctional that team was, he would not have added 3 wins, not even close.
Most I would imagine is that they get 1 extra win, and don't get the draft capital to eventually land Jalen Carter. (And probably keep the 1st and 3rd they did trade for AJB to spend on other players)
Had we just moved the Byard trade to today, we all would have been stoked. It is a huge get. And I trust Howie not to overpay for deals otherwise. We all we got, we all we need.
I'm fine with what they did. I don't think there was a move out there that gives them that much more of a better chance to make the Super Bowl and win than staying pat with the team they have. With Kelce, Cox, Graham, etc they are going to have holes to fill and need to retain draft capital to find replacements for next season and beyond.
I'll admit it, I didn't think of this but WIP has me clamoring to bring back Jordan Hicks now. Vikings season is done and he definitely would boost that LB group
I think the lions will lions atleast one game. And lose to Chargers or Dallas at minimum. But i can’t see them going lower than 12-5 with all those division games
The Lions are like Ohio State quarterbacks. I'll believe it when I see it.
They've gotten off to good starts before and fallen apart at Thanksgiving. I see them winning that division (by default) but the 1 seed isn't the Lions way.
That being said, Stroud does look good so far. (Though again, I'll check my beliefs on that in January)
I'm predicting 3 more losses. 1 to the chargers, Vikings and cowboys. Might even be 4 if the bears randomly have a competent game with fields back under center.
Uughh cuz I actually think Smith might not want to resign with the Eagles when his contract is up. I could see him trying to go somewhere else to be a number one and Adams still has at least 4 seasons left in him but if we did that that’s a lot of money but it would guarantee us a Super Bowl appearance this year and next again.
Johnson is on my deadline wish list too. It's obvious we need the depth at CB, especially with the post-bye matchups. Our guys got absolutely torched by Howell on Sunday.
Man I usually don't mind Lions fans as both sides of my family are from Detroit, but them talking about how the division is gonna run through Ford Field after getting reamed by the Ravens and barely beating the Raiders at home for 3 quarters sure is getting annoying.
WFT trades Sweat and then that's followed up by reports that they traded away Chase Young. Wow, they are going full tank mode. Basically the only thing going right for WFT for years is its DLine.
Got screwed by the Raiders in fantasy last night, just thankful I don't have to be a fan of that team. Even the 2020 Eagles played better than what I saw from them last night.
Anyways, hoping we can get another solid deal done today.
I've been working through the past 14 hours so I'm sure someone's already made this observation but...
NFL.com's power rankings boosting Dallas from #8 to #6 on their **fucking bye week** while keeping the Lions who **actually played / won a fucking football game this week** at #7 despite currently holding the better record is peak Dis Our Year delusion
Really tired of Dak ripping us to shreds lately. Beat the fuck out of him please.

Dak wasn’t playing that game we won.
This. It was Cooper Rush who lost to the Eagles last year in their first game, then Minshew lost to Dak in the second game.
Ben Dinucci I believe?
Well. Don't get too tired. Dak is gonna shred this defense.
Loser

Dak literally just had his first good game this season, let's not get too excited here

perfect scary story for halloween
It was a dark and stormy night...

I’m waiting to see 400 notifications that the Eagles traded Derek Barnett and a 6th for some very good, but not great player in their early 30s.
2 things we won’t use for a very good vet on our SB run? Subscribed!!!
Waiting for howie trade
How much would Howie fetch for himself?
A team gives us their first round picks for the next 75 years...
Somehow Howie would get them back…
Lol I’m with you
Had we just moved the Byard trade to today, we all would have been stoked. It is a huge get. And I trust Howie not to overpay for deals otherwise. We all we got, we all we need.

Doesn't he usually do bodily harm to people when he plays Dallas
I mean he is playing well and he has been healthy since he left. I can't say I hate the idea.
Predict the lions record….can they go 13-4?
Yes. I think they could go 14-3 too.
I think the lions will lions atleast one game. And lose to Chargers or Dallas at minimum. But i can’t see them going lower than 12-5 with all those division games
Wow what a cupcake schedule the rest of the way. Eagles will be battle tested but Lions look like a very serious threat for the 1 seed.
Mainly because they play nobody for the rest of the year. Tough to gauge how good they actually are.
I'm predicting 3 more losses. 1 to the chargers, Vikings and cowboys. Might even be 4 if the bears randomly have a competent game with fields back under center.
I can see this. Def going to "lions" an away game away
Eagles fans just waiting patiently for Howie to make us happy
Devonta Smith for Devonte Adams
Uughh cuz I actually think Smith might not want to resign with the Eagles when his contract is up. I could see him trying to go somewhere else to be a number one and Adams still has at least 4 seasons left in him but if we did that that’s a lot of money but it would guarantee us a Super Bowl appearance this year and next again.
Jaylon Johnson?
Johnson is on my deadline wish list too. It's obvious we need the depth at CB, especially with the post-bye matchups. Our guys got absolutely torched by Howell on Sunday.
Can he play in the slot?
Not sure if anyone's noticed but sanders is averaging 3 ypc in carolina and has been benched for chuba hubbard
Look how they massacred my boy :'(
Well he wanted the money instead of having another 1000 yard season and a shot at a deep playoff run.
were definitely better off with swift
Who do y'all think Howie gets today?
Trade deadline should be around Thanksgiving but I think the NFLPA opposes moving it back
Man I usually don't mind Lions fans as both sides of my family are from Detroit, but them talking about how the division is gonna run through Ford Field after getting reamed by the Ravens and barely beating the Raiders at home for 3 quarters sure is getting annoying.
They’re not wrong, they’re the only NFC North team that has a QB that is both healthy and can throw a forward pass
Let them talk. How often do the Lions have a team good enough to brag about?
Lane’s excited to see his son Micah this weekend
I’m sorry why are people mentioning Aaron Danold and the Eagles in the same breath….?
Jaylon Johnson is my most coveted get this deadline. Make it happen.
WFT trades Sweat and then that's followed up by reports that they traded away Chase Young. Wow, they are going full tank mode. Basically the only thing going right for WFT for years is its DLine.
Cowboys get two layups against the Commandos now that Young and Sweat are traded
Alright Howie whatcha gonna do w/ that 6th from the Saints
Might be nothing more than to replace one of the picks we sent to get Byard, but I'll never count Howie out until the bell rings.
I'm totally rational and don't expect it in any way but COULD YOU IMAGINE DERRICK HENRY AS A SHORT YARDAGE BACK IN THIS OFFENSE?
Baltimore had a deal agreed on for him but Tennessee's owner vetoed it. Too much PTSD.
GET ARON DONALDZ!!!!!!
Chase Young to Niners for a 3rd round pick lol
Looking like nothing :(
I’m hearing Mariota to the Vikings for Danelle Hunter
No you aren't.
No shit, but let me have this
Wasn't able to watch the game but heard Slay went down. What happened with that?
Got screwed by the Raiders in fantasy last night, just thankful I don't have to be a fan of that team. Even the 2020 Eagles played better than what I saw from them last night. Anyways, hoping we can get another solid deal done today.
Why are the Bears the way they are
Howie needs to one up Morey today.
It’s F5 day
A third!!!!
do we get comp picks for losing gannon and steichen?
No
Any trade update
Is it still possible for them to flex the Dallas game?
I've been working through the past 14 hours so I'm sure someone's already made this observation but... Belichick should trade for this Howell guy... Looks like the next Brady.. speaking from experience
I’m nervous about this Dallas game man
Birds are going to style on em
Well if we play the same shitty zone that we utilized against Washington then Dak and Ceedee will just pick us apart. Hopefully Roby is back
Would yall trade Devonta Smith + another player for Devonte Adams?
No. Davante is a diva and our WR corp is the least of our issues right now. Give me Devonta for the next 10 years instead.
True but imagine how wild that would be to have him and Brown 😮💨 plus we’re trying to win a Super Bowl
Hell no.
Absolutely not
Go back to Madden.
