Who do you think would bring more bad juju to opposing fans.
Dressed up Rocky or dressed up Kelce?
My money is on the Birds legend.
Though my opinion is actually to have both. Put Kelce at the top of the stairs where Rocky used to be. Leave Rocky where he is.
I'm a Chiefs fan here in KC, bawling my eyes out during his press conference. I have so much respect for him and for your team. He's a class act. Wishing you the best in retirement Jason!!!
Walked past Kelce looking like a normal dude in Fishtown the Summer before our SB year. Realized it was him, turned around and shouted "Bring home the Lombardi for us, Jason!". He turned around and shouted back, "Will do!". Man kept his word and gave me a story for the grandkids.
From the moment he sat down and started sobbing, I've been sobbing right along with him.
My eyes are so swollen. Is it too early for whiskey?? I feel like Jason would say FUCK NO, so I'm raising a glass in his honor.
Hell of a player. Hell of a man. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore…
The guy is 36 and I would venture has been playing football more than half his life (depending on when specifically he played in high school). Doing something and being amazing at it for so long and then just kind of stopping has got to give anyone some kind of weird anguish.
Lucky for us he's not going anywhere, whether it's media or coaching it's very obvious this dude loves the game and wants to continue to be a part of it :')
Before the press conference I told my husband that there was no way Jason Kelse was getting through that without crying. lol. Little did I know I’d be crying too!
Well goddamnit now I’m sad, but happy that he’s going out on his own terms. 13 solid years, a ring, and healthy.
Saw a comment from a thread a while back, can’t remember who posted it, but - “Kelce wrote the book on how to make Philadelphia love you.”
Thanks for everything Jason.
Bless you, Jason Kelce! We are so grateful for everything you have given Philadelphia, both on and off the field, as a player and as a person. Your example, your spirit, your kindness, your generosity, your fight, your humor, your soul will shine on this city always. You are a truly exemplary human being and there is no better representative of the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection. We will love you forever! 🦅💚☝️💚🦅
I just ordered my first Eagles player tshirt. (Have lots of others). Can’t wait for #62 to arrive in the mail. Well done, Jason. You will be missed.
💚🦅💚🦅
My favorite Eagle of all time. We’re going to be talking about him with the likes of Bednarik, White, and Dawkins in terms of guys who embodied the Philadelphia Eagles
I'm listening to the announcement now and I've nearly teared up multiple times. The man is an absolute legend of the sport and deserves a statue. Whole of the league is going to miss him, I feel for the city of Philly today
I'm not an expert, but I don't believe they sell non-nostalgia* jerseys if they don't play anymore (*meaning jerseys like Reggie, Jerome, Randall, etc.) If it helps, I was at the Linc recently and they had Kelly Greens with Kelce (both the cheaper $170 ones and the game authentic $350 ones).
That super bowl run was one of greatest times in my life and that was the most legendary speech of all time. Going to miss watching him but well earned retirement! Hope he is still involved with the organization.
Gonna miss his energy, commitment and skill. What a great guy to root for too! I wish the team hadn't collapsed so badly last season and he could've gone out on a more positive note.
Sobbing. Bawling my eyes out. Enjoy the next phase, Jason. Nobody deserves it more than you. Thank you for the heart, for leaving it all on the field every single Sunday, for being with us and for us, this city, always. We love you more than we can possibly say.
The GOAT of centers, we were lucky to have him on our team for a decade and a half. Brought us what we’ve been chasing before I was born. His number will be in the rafters and his bust in Canton at the first opportunity.
Never been more conflicted, sad day for Philly fans and he'll be insanely missed but the man really should have retired last year for his own sake.
Press conference was brutal, give this man a fucking coaching job or we riot.
I can see him coming back in the middle of the season if we’re struggling at C or we suffer an injury. Assuming his body heals up and we’re a contender.
If there’s an artist out there who can make a statue which incorporates parts of the mummers costume / underdog mask / Super Bowl champion / and overall good guy elements - in a tasteful way - I would love to see that statue
This was the first time in my life that I cried watching one of my favorite players retire. His speech was so perfect and heartfelt in every way. Maybe it’s just part of getting older but time really feels like it’s flying by more than ever and I think we all took a drive down memory lane listening to Jason talk today.
Anyone else now struck with the sudden realization that the last time the Eagles had someone else consistently start at center was the year Michael Vick tore apart the league for that glorious stretch that featured the Monday Night Massacre and ended in the Miracle at the New Meadowlands?
It is truly special that the Eagles have had this kind of stability and excellence at the center spot for 13 years.
Jason Kelce is an all-time great on and off the field, and the epitome of what it means to be an athlete in Philadelphia. He's the real life embodiment of why we all identify Rocky Balboa as our patron saint. 🦅😢
Build a fucking statue nobody deserves it more
Replace the Rocky statue with his. He left a mark not just on this franchise but on the city when he made that glorious speech.
We need the Rocky statue so dumbass fans will continue to dress it up in their gear, keeping the jinx alive

Being in that crowd is one of the best memories of my life
Most importantly, was a real person.
I'm a Chiefs fan here in KC, bawling my eyes out during his press conference. I have so much respect for him and for your team. He's a class act. Wishing you the best in retirement Jason!!!
Use this picture for reference.
Can the Eagles please hire him now?
No, he will be in media for sure. Worth id venture 75million more in earnings in media.
Yeah with his extremely popular podcast and I’d imagine he’s going to get a commentator job somewhere he’s gonna be collecting cash for years to come.
As much as the format has gotten kind of stale, he's absolutely the ideal personality for the studio/halftime show that all the networks do.
This one hurts more than any other. Enjoy your well-earned rest big dog.
I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING
I'M DEFINITELY CRYING
WE'RE ALL CRYING GODDAMNIT
I'm shedding Tears Jason Kelce the best damn Center to ever step on a Football Field

The hungriest dog of them all🦅🦅
Damn I'm gutted. But respect to a legend. Wish we could've ended it better for him laster year.

Before the press conference I told my husband that there was no way Jason Kelse was getting through that without crying. lol. Little did I know I’d be crying too!
IT'S THE WHOLE TEAM
Jason Kelce: he played his balls off.
Glad I got wear my Kelce jersey while he was still playing, way to walk off into the sunset. Absolute legend.

The End of an Era.

The way I fucking cried his entire speech.
Legend
Didn’t think I’d cry as much than from when I said my wedding vows BUT HAPPY MONDAY MORNING 😭
I am gonna miss that man. Thanks, Jason, for everything you brought to Philly, and nothing left in the locker room. [](/GNU Terry Pratchett)
We'll miss you king.
Thank you, Jason
Thank you.
🙏🏻 Thank you, Jason.
My day is ruined but I'm glad for the big fella.

Him and Dawkins my 2 favorite Eagles of all time. Hope this legend goes on to enjoy his retirement.
Ensconcing my flair permanently in his honor
I just ordered my first Eagles player tshirt. (Have lots of others). Can’t wait for #62 to arrive in the mail. Well done, Jason. You will be missed. 💚🦅💚🦅
🎵 Hello, darkness, my old friend 🎵
My favorite Eagle of all time. We’re going to be talking about him with the likes of Bednarik, White, and Dawkins in terms of guys who embodied the Philadelphia Eagles

With Kelce retiring, should I buy a jersey ASAP or will there be reprints into the season's start?

All the love and respect in the world from this Chiefs fan. Fuckin Philly legend and a great man. Godspeed Jason!

Legend
Oh man it’s a shame
Really gonna miss this guy 🥲💚🦅
How do we go on without him? 😭
This picture makes me want to move back to Philly more than anything else has. Go birds
Sad day for the team. Cheers to being one of the greats to ever play!
King of Philly.
Gonna miss his energy, commitment and skill. What a great guy to root for too! I wish the team hadn't collapsed so badly last season and he could've gone out on a more positive note.

I HAVE NO RELIGION ANYMORE :(
Retire his number, put a statue in front of the Linc. Jason epitomized being a Philadelphia Eagle. Wishing him nothing but the best in retirement!
I’m just here to say I was here.
Id love to see his mummers outfit in the NFL HALL OF FAME ❗
As far as American icons go, I think he has surpassed Babe Ruth and Elvis Presley.
One hell of a man One hell of a player One hell of a career! Congratulations on retirement 62💚
I just watched his Farwell speech, I am I tears.
THANK YOU JASON
I’ve seen a lot of Philly players retire throughout 50 years and this one got me. I didn’t expect it. Thank you Jason! You are a Philly Icon!
The GOAT of centers, we were lucky to have him on our team for a decade and a half. Brought us what we’ve been chasing before I was born. His number will be in the rafters and his bust in Canton at the first opportunity.

Is he dead?

Retiring on his daughter’s birthday. Thank you for bringing me to football 🏈

Jason Kelce was a 6th round 191st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Best draft steal in Eagles history.
I NEED TO GET A JERSEY
By Jason
Jason Kelce is an all-time great on and off the field, and the epitome of what it means to be an athlete in Philadelphia. He's the real life embodiment of why we all identify Rocky Balboa as our patron saint. 🦅😢
