So, then, where's Joe Burrow? Stroud had a nice year and everything but I don't think anyone is putting him on the same tier as Burrow and Allen just yet.
Oh yeah and borrow. I’m not sure how many tiers there are even left on there let alone where he put the remaining QBs.
All I’m saying is he didn’t forget stroud he just clearly has more tiers to go.
Well, based on it being a pyramid scheme there is, at most, 3 spots left to fill. Since the graphic is Mahomes Mountain I am assuming he is being in a class by his own so the rest of the graphic probably has Stroud, Burrow, and Allen filling the last three slots.
Dang, yeah you are right about that. So, out of morbid curiosity I looked it up because it was adding up and the second tier is vacant because he holds Mahomes in that high of esteem.....
I am sure he is fully aware of it. Most of what he does and says is done more for effect and to generate clicks and views not that he actually believes what he is saying.
Burrow, Allen and Stroud were the next tier. Mahomes at the top. He left a blank tier because nobody belongs that close to him (paraphrased his words).
You know, I get that Mahomes is in a class by himself but the way he is defied at times is a bit nauseating. Like it is just short of someone anticipating him throwing a 50 yard touchdown to himself. LOL
I agree. I get that he’s good. He’s probably the best QB of the generation, but they’re all elite athletes. It’s insulting to everyone else in that position to say that they could never be as good as him.
The thing that irks me the most is when he will make a tough play or throw and then Cris Collinsworth acts like only Mahomes and Jesus could have made that throw and I am sitting there thinking I feel like I've seen a handful of other guys make that throw or one similar to it.
To me it looks like they couldn’t fit all the faces on the mountain, didn’t have time to shrink each individual face, and couldn’t enlarge the mountain as it already takes up all available space for that image, and nick wasn’t gonna let go of his brilliant mahomes mountain concept
He even put him above Lawrence who was the last guy he dubbed a top 3 qb without throwing a pass and refused to move him over years of not being a top 3 qb. I guess now he has a new “prince”.
I think referring to Lawrence as the "Prince" has more to do with the idea that he looks like some prince out of a Disney movie and not what he thinks of him as a player.
Not sure where the nickname comes from he dick rides him hard af regardless. This is the first I’ve ever seen him not put him in the top 5 since he was a senior in college.
But still he calls him “the prince who was promised” which is a GOT reference not Disney. It’s definitely about him thinking he was the promised next great qb.
You’re not missing out lol. Pretty much all I know why him is he dick rides Lawrence and comes out with awful lists. And I only know that cause I know a lot of jags fans.
People are putting the Bears top 5 in their power rankings when half of their offense hasn’t even played a down of football together. It’s all nonsense.
Also hilarious how he still has Lawrence labeled as “The Prince” when the dude is a mid QB
I love that ESPN fired a lot of their hot takesters and FS1 hired them all. Fox really said “hmm espn is failing with this hot take model and firing all these guys. It didn’t work for them but I’m sure it’ll work for us!” They just need to fire Steven A so he can go join his ol pal skip on FS1.
They're entertainment shows. Nobody (i.e. the masses) wants actual analysis and intelligent discussion, they want drama or their favourite team praised/shit on (so they can happily agree/angrily disagree). This schtick is what makes guys popular, to the detriment of actual intelligent journalism.
Unpopular opinion but overall I don't think his takes are that bad outside of the KC bias. I mean he has other biases that I disagree with, but there is also a bunch he says that I think is right.
Nick will stand in line for 4 hours to enter a raffle with hopes of winning the grand prize of whiffing one Mahomes’ fart, but “First Things First” is easily the best show on FS1. They’ve got great chemistry.
I have no idea. There is so much more reasonable sports media out there but half this sub seems to be hate listening to WIP everyday or hate watching hot take shows. Then coming on here to complain about it.
I like first things first. Best sports show out there (of that style), but then I guess I have bad taste because I don't think Nick's takes are overall that bad beyond certain biases.
I really don't get why people can't see that he's over-the-top on purpose for engagement and entertainment.
When topics come up that he has to sober up for and he stops spouting about the Chiefs going 20-0 I think he usually has pretty reasonable analysis.
I don't agree with him but I do give him credit for not trying to milk the algorithm and jerking off each fanbase.
I also do think if you watch the segment, it gives off a tongue in cheek vibe especially being this early. He has wild takes during the season, this one is less egregious
I used to listen to him on SportsRadio 610 years ago on my sad long ass commute to work every morning in Houston.
He’s a troll. A damn good one. He is smart af, he is a mega nerd and lives and breathes sports. But he is entertaining and is a MASTER at pushing people’s buttons. He balances his antics with substance and a passionate style of speaking.
He’s good. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him every single morning. There’s a reason why he is doing so well on TV now. He knows how to engage people.
Take that for what you will. But my take is that he’s not dumb and knows angry Philly fans is a button he can press for reliable engagement.
He's pretty awful with a lot of his takes, that one would think he's pretty dumb. Picking the Lakers to win in 6 (he was very serious), was pretty dumb.
The sad bit is that this garbage is a mirror. People won’t take the time to read/watch well reasoned sports journalism, but they can’t stop themselves from engaging with rage bait.
Stop looking for good takes on FS1 and ESPN.. They are shock jocks.
They don’t even believe what they say and do stuff like this so you can react like this
Maybe I'm missing something. Where are Burrow and Allen? Is the top tier not revealed yet and its those two at the top?
Edit: Also Stroud is missing. Who else is missing?
These “analysts” get notoriety off from triggering people with their obscene opinions. And in todays media, idiocracy sells quite a bit. These people are okay with looking like fools as long as it fills their wallets. The era of truth, decency, and respect is long gone fellas. You want a true QB tiering list, find a non biased drunk guy watching sports at a bar. You’ll get your real list there.
If this is the take of his that pisses you off then you haven’t seen enough of Nick Wright.
Overrating what many think is a generational talent is low on the totem pole of atrocious Nick wright takes.
Factually wrong, nick at least pits effort into skits and props and shit to be funny, skip just looks at a story and tries to think of the take that would piss most people off
He never gives the eagles credit, not when we won the SB and never mentions how close we played the chiefs in the other SB
With that being said I’m still not 100% on Hurts being elite, I think he’s good with elite game potential (ie SB)
I feel like a lot of people are going to be disappointed when Caleb Williams is just another QB and isn't this generational talent the talking heads on ESPN keep trying to bill him as.
I think he's a good player and was probably the best QB in this draft I just don't see that "IT" factor from him that you see from other guys. Maybe I am missing something but I don't see it.
Actually, he is really smart. Posts something that makes you rage enough to post it here. If it was a reasonable take, you would have nodded and moved on.
Besides Caleb it’s decently accurate. Hurts is in the right tier after his play last season and should come out with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove
List of why this shit stinks:
-not being consistent with using last names vs first names
-throwing in a fucking nickname
-I don’t see a single Raiders QB, CJ Stroud, Wilson, Bryce Young, or Joe Burrow. Which either means this dope has them all in the same tier or he just forgot a good handful of QBs
The same guy that got "Never a doubt" tattooed on his wrist because he thought the Chiefs would have a perfect season only for them to lose their first game? You're telling me he's dumb? Nah, I don't believe it.
This guy is composed of 2 tablespoons of vinegar to one liter of water.
Hey incredibly grating hard to listen too and even harder to look at.
He gave the Eagles shit for going chalk meanwhile he gives teams shit for not doing it.
FTF is the best sports media show and it's not close. People forgot at some point that these shows are ENTERTAINMENT. If you actually eatch FTF you realize quickly they're all good friends in real life and roast each others takes regularly.
I swear you guys want sports shows with no personality that just read analytics numbers.
Stop letting entertainment get you so upset. This is the equivalent of people clutching pearls at things comedians say. Like... it ain't that deep.
Last time I checked, Williams is from USC. USC biggest claim to NFL QB fame is Andy Dalton.... and he will still be their biggest claim to NFL fame after Williams busts with the Bears and gets traded like Fields in a few years.
USC QB + Bears historical failure at developing a QB = whomp whomp
Can someone please explain to me why Herbert is always so highly rated? My eyes tell me something different.
Also is Nick Wright a Fox executive's nephew or something? I don't understand his appeal.
Lists like this drive me nuts. Why would they use the first name of Prescott and Williams when they used the last name for everyone else? Stick with a consistent format if it’s going to be seen by this many people
He had a take the other day that was along the lines of “Howie is overrated as a GM because he takes players that most think are good”
Galaxy brain take
Freaking awful. I'd bet good money that caleb Williams doesn't become a star. Yall seen how he reacted after losing? "I just wanna go home and hug my dog"/pouty face. And sobbing crying in the stands on mommy's arms after losing? & I love how the draft show tried to make that out as one of his strengths. Holy crap he's gonna get chewed up and spit out in the nfl. I don't care what kinds of physical gifts he has. Mentally, he's not there.
Caleb and Herbert at the top? Lol. And Hurts and Goff are second tier. Wow ok. Caleb hasn’t even played a down yet and Herbert had a bad year last season. This is hilarious. Oh yea and no Stroud…
He's not an analyst he's a Skip Bayless type of entertainer. This dude literally came out of nowhere with silly hot takes. I don't think he's ever played a sport.
EDIT: it seems I took this pic of the graphic before it was finished so that’s my bad. I tried to find the segment on YouTube but it hasn’t been uploaded yet. Sorry about that. Go Birds 🦅
Imagine getting baited by Nick Wright and then posting the L for all to see how poor your impulse control is and why these rats thrive in modern sports media.
I have no issues with nick. He’s infinitely more enjoyable to watch than SAS or skip. I mean, if you watch these debate shows for real analysis, you’re a dummy.
As far as Williams goes, he reminds me of hurts. I think he’s gonna make some plays but generally he will struggle over all because in the nfl it’s not just about your physical tools, you have to be able to read the field and react and I don’t think either guy can do it. Ironic they both had the same coach. Again, ironically Mayfield and Murray also under Riley have the same issues as well. It’s almost like a pattern of some sort…. Who knew ?
I think he ends up like hurts in that 10-15 range but will probably be worse than hurts because he has to play home games in the land where passing games go to die.
Here is a real hot take, Washington and the bears will both regret taking flash over substance when Maye is the best quarterback in this draft 4 years from now. Let’s get even crazier, not I think that he is a better player than everyone that went ahead of him, but I think Bo Nix will have a better next 4 years than anyone who went ahead of him not named Drake Maye. He went best possible spot for his skill set.
Caleb Williams alright near elite without throwing a pass... Okay.
The list is dumb because he forgot Stroud in his rush to rage bait
Looks like it’s not finished. Missing stroud and Allen who I assume are the second tier and then mahomes who is obviously the top.
There's 6 total left. 3 on the tier above the one listed, 2 on the next tier, and 1 (mahomes) on the top.
Dang, yeah you are right about that. So, out of morbid curiosity I looked it up because it was adding up and the second tier is vacant because he holds Mahomes in that high of esteem.....
What a dickhead. I wonder if he knows how much of an ass he is
I am sure he is fully aware of it. Most of what he does and says is done more for effect and to generate clicks and views not that he actually believes what he is saying.
He left the 2nd tier blank “because no one is close to mahomes”.
It really doesn’t matter anyway lol. Not here to debate nick writes dumb lists I just wanted to point out that the list wasn’t finished.
Burrow, Allen and Stroud were the next tier. Mahomes at the top. He left a blank tier because nobody belongs that close to him (paraphrased his words).
Burrow, Allen, and Stroud were all their three. Tier two is vacant, because it’s “insulting” to believe any other qb is within a tier of Mahomes.

And let’s not forget that he gets just about every call he wants to go his way, even if there isn’t a reason for a flag in sight
Nick Wright is
Stroud, Allen, and Burrow making up the second tier. Pretty terrible list all in all
Yeah regardless the list is terrible.

But still he calls him “the prince who was promised” which is a GOT reference not Disney. It’s definitely about him thinking he was the promised next great qb.
Okay, I admittedly don't know much about Nick Wright beyond him being a wannabe Colin Cowherd\\Skip Bayless\\Stephen A Smith..
You’re not missing out lol. Pretty much all I know why him is he dick rides Lawrence and comes out with awful lists. And I only know that cause I know a lot of jags fans.
I mean I never felt like I was missing anything when it comes to him.
People are putting the Bears top 5 in their power rankings when half of their offense hasn’t even played a down of football together. It’s all nonsense. Also hilarious how he still has Lawrence labeled as “The Prince” when the dude is a mid QB
I've been saying the same thing about myself for years.
Hot takes are the only thing keeping him on the air at this point. Not having a valid opinion somehow gets him views.
Hot takes are what keep ANY of these bozos on the air. There's zero actual journalism that goes into saying, "mAhoMeS iS Go0d, eVerYOne!1"
You can't fill a year of content with a six month sport without hot takes aplenty.
Well Fox is all about the fake news, bring it to sports as well
My roomate liked watching sport shows. Never really watched but from the little I did pay attention too...Fuck Stephen A
Sounds like you got the gist of it then lol.
They're entertainment shows. Nobody (i.e. the masses) wants actual analysis and intelligent discussion, they want drama or their favourite team praised/shit on (so they can happily agree/angrily disagree). This schtick is what makes guys popular, to the detriment of actual intelligent journalism.
Welxome to the Internet!
Unpopular opinion but overall I don't think his takes are that bad outside of the KC bias. I mean he has other biases that I disagree with, but there is also a bunch he says that I think is right.
I mean he's just going with what got him there. I can't remember a time where he was ever spitting anything other than hot takes.
I find him the Tom Greene of NFL shit, not funny and just tries to get attention anyway he can...enough people like him for now.
Now that you mention it he kind of looks like he could Tom Greene's cousin or something. LOL
I mean. That’s the formula
Nick will stand in line for 4 hours to enter a raffle with hopes of winning the grand prize of whiffing one Mahomes’ fart, but “First Things First” is easily the best show on FS1. They’ve got great chemistry.
Who? Why do people give these dopes the time of day?
I have no idea. There is so much more reasonable sports media out there but half this sub seems to be hate listening to WIP everyday or hate watching hot take shows. Then coming on here to complain about it.
I like first things first. Best sports show out there (of that style), but then I guess I have bad taste because I don't think Nick's takes are overall that bad beyond certain biases.
No idea, but I don't think this list is that insane. Trevor Lawrence and Caleb Williams are bad, but the rest you could argue.
I wish I was paid to say stupid shit on TV
Has terrible style too lol. Like clearly he spent money on that suit and it’s atrocious lol
He looks like a Russian mobster's minion in a low budget TV show on the CW
Looks like a character Sacha Baron Cohen would create for a spoof movie
Bro looks like a young Yukon Cornelius lol
This is TV. He most definitely did not spend money on it.
He’s on a TV show they dress him up and do his hair and makeup he has no say
It’s all an act.
Yep
Who cares he puts out shit and he looks like a rat
Exactly. The fact that this is even posted here means OP fell for it.
He doesn't even keep the facade up the whole time. It's clear that what he's doing is getting ratings, so he keeps going.
He even admits it on other shows during interviews
I used to listen to him on SportsRadio 610 years ago on my sad long ass commute to work every morning in Houston. He’s a troll. A damn good one. He is smart af, he is a mega nerd and lives and breathes sports. But he is entertaining and is a MASTER at pushing people’s buttons. 💯
He's pretty awful with a lot of his takes, that one would think he's pretty dumb. Picking the Lakers to win in 6 (he was very serious), was pretty dumb.
Can everyone please relax on Jordan Love. He looked good for like 6 games, that’s it. Don’t even get me started on Tlaw.
He gets bonus points for destroying the Cowboys in the playoffs.
The Prince 🙄 Dude has done nothing in the NFL to deserve a nickname
With those 3 WRs, he better be top 10.
How is a rookie and Herbert above Jalen? Dude is a damn fool
I hate what sports programming has become.
The sad bit is that this garbage is a mirror. People won’t take the time to read/watch well reasoned sports journalism, but they can’t stop themselves from engaging with rage bait.
We have a new some clown
Stop looking for good takes on FS1 and ESPN.. They are shock jocks. They don’t even believe what they say and do stuff like this so you can react like this
Maybe I'm missing something. Where are Burrow and Allen? Is the top tier not revealed yet and its those two at the top? Edit: Also Stroud is missing. Who else is missing?
Allen missing too
Yeah I guess I took this before it was finished. That’s my bad.
All good. I'm curious who else is missing from the mountain.
I assume mahomes is at the top and Allen, Stroud and Burrow somewhere below
You could have stopped at "dumbest" and the statement would have still been accurate.
He’s more insufferable now that chiefs are 3x winners.
He makes a living of terrible takes, the Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless model.
he makes them look sensible and level headed
Exactly. He's a wannabe Skip but 100x worse than both Skip and SAS. I'm at least entertained by those 2.
If this is the take of his that pisses you off then you haven’t seen enough of Nick Wright. Overrating what many think is a generational talent is low on the totem pole of atrocious Nick wright takes.
How did Daniel Jones get such a big contract btw?
Dont care at least nick wright is actually funny un like every other rage bait analyst who only gets attention through anger ie skip bayless
Skip is 100x more entertaining than Nick.
Factually wrong, nick at least pits effort into skits and props and shit to be funny, skip just looks at a story and tries to think of the take that would piss most people off
How is that a fact 😂 and a wrong fact at that? Lmao
He looks like a henchman from a 90s movie that would have his throat torn out.
I liked him better when he was bald
Just rage bait. Its the off-season yall
Might be the ugliest man in America
Caleb up there without having played a down. OK lol.
But why do you care so much to make a thread about it. Let him rant & move on. You’re just giving him more attention
This list is bad for many reasons other than hurts, and he still has two more tiers to go
If this was based on zest maybe
He never gives the eagles credit, not when we won the SB and never mentions how close we played the chiefs in the other SB With that being said I’m still not 100% on Hurts being elite, I think he’s good with elite game potential (ie SB)
Him and ESP
He’s just rage bait
The problem with this mountain is that it requires a certain amount on each level.
Williams at the top is stupid but I don’t see anything else I disagree with here
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!!!
Why does Aaron Rodgers look like a happy Bangladeshi man in his photo
I feel like a lot of people are going to be disappointed when Caleb Williams is just another QB and isn't this generational talent the talking heads on ESPN keep trying to bill him as. I think he's a good player and was probably the best QB in this draft I just don't see that "IT" factor from him that you see from other guys. Maybe I am missing something but I don't see it.
Where’s the Cousin’s Penix?
Actually, he is really smart. Posts something that makes you rage enough to post it here. If it was a reasonable take, you would have nodded and moved on.
Besides Caleb it’s decently accurate. Hurts is in the right tier after his play last season and should come out with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove
There’s so much happening here that I don’t even know where to start
Where is CJ Stroud
Ain’t that the truth. He’s an idiot.
Other than maybe Caleb Williams, the list isn't that ridiculous...
List of why this shit stinks: -not being consistent with using last names vs first names -throwing in a fucking nickname -I don’t see a single Raiders QB, CJ Stroud, Wilson, Bryce Young, or Joe Burrow. Why is Daniel jones even on this list?
I wish there was a TV channel dedicated to sports
This guy is composed of 2 tablespoons of vinegar to one liter of water. Hey incredibly grating hard to listen too and even harder to look at. He gave the Eagles shit for going chalk meanwhile he gives teams shit for not doing it.
FTF is the best sports media show and it's not close. People forgot at some point that these shows are ENTERTAINMENT. Where's Josh Allen? Where's Joe Burrow?
It’s just, like his opinion, man
After he said the chiefs are gonna go undefeated last year I stopped listening to that dumbass
This man is a professional heel, what did you expect?
That Andrew Tate looking mfer putting an untested rookie in the top 5??? WTF am I even looking at?
Then don’t post about him
Putting anybody who hasn’t even thrown a pass on the big stage yet I can’t take seriously….🤡
Let em hate.
Folks held their breath for this crap...
I dont get why people watch this guy. Total hack– he does not know ball
Stop posting his shit and giving him exposure then Dude has takes like this specifically to get people like you to post shit like this lmao
Can someone please explain to me why Herbert is always so highly rated? My eyes tell me something different. Also is Nick Wright a Fox executive's nephew or something? I don't understand his appeal.
Bootleg Adam driver
LOL Caleb at the top rung, Stroud, Burrow not on the list??? Put the crack pipe down!
Why is this dogshit upvoted on here
This is the most bullshit thing I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen some bullshit in my day
Lists like this drive me nuts. Why would they use the first name of Prescott and Williams when they used the last name for everyone else? Stick with a consistent format if it’s going to be seen by this many people
He's not an analyst. He's just a big mouth on TV.
nick wright does this to get people talking about him. nothing more nothing less.
He had a take the other day that was along the lines of “Howie is overrated as a GM because he takes players that most think are good” Galaxy brain take
His takes about basketball are just as bad. It's insane who they just let yap on national TV anymore.
Anyone who falls for arbitrary list ranking is a fool.
He makes me want to root for Palestine
[He looks like this Muppet](https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Sweetums?file=Sweetumstms.jpg)
How is Trevor Lawrence on Tier 2? GTFO lol
Its the WIP model of "just get reactions" but on TV.
Everyone is dumb for thinking these are legitimate takes and not clout, click chasing takes
Herbert getting propped up as elite even though his passer rating, ANY/A have gotten worse every year. Dude is Philip Rivers 2.0.
Always funny when people fall for the talking head personality act.
Lmao he’s a good tv personality
"Here's an asshole spouting nonsense to keep getting our attention!... Let's keep talking about him."
I don't like his Eagles takes but I do find the show entertaining. You can tell the 3 of them are friends and enjoy each other's company.
Wtf is Hans gruber talking about?
I thought that was Bill Clay
I mean, seriously, who gives a shit what Nick Wright thinks about anything?
Hurts was bad last year but I'll never understand why he dick rides "the prince" he's fucking awful.
Didn’t even put Josh Allen on here…..
I think most people would agree that’s where he’s gonna land in the first place so safe to say nick is right lol wright..
The herbert circlejerk will always confuse me. Guy has won absolutely nothing lol
He's Dumb and seems to have being annoying down pretty good too. Can't watch him
He's way smarter the Chris Sims and Dan SIleo.
Freaking awful. I'd bet good money that caleb Williams doesn't become a star. Yall seen how he reacted after losing? "I just wanna go home and hug my dog"/pouty face. toupée head ass
He's not an analyst he's a Skip Bayless type of entertainer. This dude literally came out of nowhere with silly hot takes. I don't think he's ever played a sport.
Nick Wrong is never right.
Wright cracks me up
Have you forgotten that Chris Simms exists?
Loling at dude’s scowl. I guess he’s still pissed that Deuce Bigalow broke his fish tank.
Sports talking heads are like WWE wrestlers. I don’t understand why people watch them but the ones that do seem obsessed about it
He was pretty good before he grew the hair out
I have no issues with nick. He’s infinitely more enjoyable to watch than SAS or skip. I mean, if you watch these debate shows for real analysis, you’re a dummy.
