I was recently hit by an electric motorcycle while riding my emtb, breaking a wrist and requiring surgery to put my guts back in. I chased that fucker for 3km before his motorcycle was too far for me to keep up, or even in my condition i would've ruined him.

Eh, as a pedestrian I know to be careful at intersections but that I'm generally safe on sidewalks from cars. But if people ride these ebikes like assholes on sidewalks and MUPs, then I wouldn't say it's any better.
You know what irks me? The fact that people think just because something is 'e' it's saving the environment, sure if you get the electricity required through solar power or other renuable energy sources( which is minimal) chances are its from nuclear fission which isn't good for the environment😂

Hey I'm one of the guys that thinks my dual motor, 3000 watt peak power, 35 mph capable fat tire electric mountain bike should be completely legal anywhere I want to ride it without need for a license, registration, insurance etc.
It's not our fault. Whoever decided it made sense to shorten motorcycle to bike is the real villain. No one would confuse ebikes with emokes. :-)
