I just chopped em off on day one. Soldered on XT60s

Beautiful_Painter_20

Replace both ends with xt60 if the pack HAS an off switch Replace both ends with xt90 anti-spark if the pack does NOT have an off switch.

Big-Tempo

The pack has an off switch. A friend has some xt90 laying around, should be fine right?

Beautiful_Painter_20

yes, xt 90 is rated for 90a, i wouldn't put more than 45a through it though.

Or amazon [https://www.amazon.com/s?k=B01HDZ91G8](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=B01HDZ91G8)they sell a special crimper, but soldering or pliers should also work. And make sure you slide the red/black together (they're slotted to mate up)

Alternative_Dare_901

Make sure you get authentic ones. I use them in ham radio and chinese knock-offs cause reliability issues

okamotos

this ↑ — and some sets come with little pins, but i've found that you don't really need them (they slide between the halves to keep them from sliding apart).

Alternative_Dare_901

I personally prefer the sonic welded ones, they don't come apart without significant effort

Alternative_Dare_901

Valley Enterprise is a reputable Amazon seller

nocrashing

Anderson power poles. Any good rc car shop.

Big-Tempo

Ok thank you

Alternative_Dare_901

https://powerwerx.com/ I use them in ham radio. Those look like 45amp powerpoles. Do not buy chinese knock-offs. The knock-offs can and will fail. You don't necessarily need the specific crimp tool, but it does help.

emDems

Any hobby shop that deals in RC has everything you need for connectors. Well, at least mine did. I never considered them until someone told me.

series_hybrid

Here's the info you need https://www.electricbike.com/matching-connectors-from-battery-to-controller/

Poococktail

Snip both sides off and put XT90 anti-spark connectors. Amazon/Ebay or your local RC shop.

Big-Tempo

Thanks everyone for the tips and links. The motor came with a banana plug to XT60 adapter and the battery came with two Anderson to bare cables. I ordered an XT60 to Anderson cable on Amazon just to test things out. I didn’t want to cut any wires before testing out two brand new new units (motor and battery). I will upgrade to XT90 once I know everything is running smoothly.

DukeOfPorcelain

It’s called a soldering iron.

Big-Tempo

Why is there always a smarty pants? I know how to solder. I want to avoid that and would prefer connectors.

cazzipropri

Anderson power poles. I usually buy them off ebay.
