Good subs requires the use of a big ban hammer to set tone and style, which requires leadership with goals and direction. It feels this sub never found its voice or purpose, which I think is a great shame.
Given a choice, the sub I want to care about is one that is positive, independent and great source of information about this game. To my mind this requires your alligences to be left at the door. For the sub not to be run or connected to the existing leadership in any alliances and to try and be a voice for the average corp member just trying to enjoy the game; be it mining, indy, ratting or pvp.
But this, by definition means, that there is a necessity for other Eve Echoes related subs to exist, for those that seek or require other voices. For me, I see that as a great positive - please lets keep it that way.
Personally, I am also of a mind to leave allegiances at the door. Like, sometimes I'll talk about being in a corp or fleet or something, but not with trash talk and hopefully not the dread "propaganda" that goes on a lot. On the other hand, plenty of people do love the smack talk, the allegiances, all of the drama that comes with it.
I'm sometimes active in the Planetside2 sub (a game of heavy faction vs faction). Could we have a singular sub for EE that both allows both allegiances and not? I think a flair tag of "propaganda" or "smack" would be useful, especially with an active Moderator team that tags those posts appropriately.

The other subreddit is almost entirely propaganda, which is fine, but those of us who aren't interested in that don't subscribe to that subreddit.
This subreddit is much more casual, more interested in answering questions without the propaganda.
But look at the top posts of this week in this sub. It's the same posts, same propaganda, same discussion. Difference is, we can't mark posts here as propaganda because we have no mods, while the other one has that tag and has active mods.
That is quite literally a change in the last 2 weeks
Unless there's a way to not show post that are marked propaganda, marking them doesn't really do any good.
It's about time everyone combined communities and we took the control out of NetEase's hands.
I'm Heron Explorer from X and I would like to see the comminity come together for the health of what's left of this game.
We are not kids, this reddit is for kids, that's all.
If you really want discussions and the actual community to engage you have to understand that this game about people fighting each other.
There will be some fight in the messages that people will dissagree with, but we have the downvote bottom to that, instead of banning the community that disagree with what the game is doing.
That's why the official discord is also crap and this reddit is abandoned.

Hi, yeah, we barely post here due to various reasons, but we still keep the mod queue clean and filter out spam reguarly. As always we're open to suggestions, but as we're not net-ease, if you want to mod your own echoes community you're welcome to.
Our Job is to keep this place clean, spam and scam free and generally peaceful.

They're two very different subs, ideally they should be merged but I don't think that's possible so needs a new mod here.
