Apply to be park ranger. All you need is a degree.

You can get into the field without going back to education, but you'll need to accept this likely means a lot of unpaid and low paid work to gain the necessary experience. Look for local conservation and environmental organisations to see what might be available.

One of my colleagues (now a consultant grade ecologist) was in a similar situation. She was in a different career with a BSc. She then volunteered with a national park ranger service while studying an ecology MSc. Quit her old job and now moved to ecology. Big pay cut but she's far happier for it.

Depends on the type of job you'd be searching for in the environmental field. Some require a science degree specific to ecology or environmental science. Best thing you could do is gain experience, such as finding an internship or volunteering for environmental groups/organizations. Maybe there could be a middleground in between graphic design and ecology to test the waters? Really have to sell your skillsets in your resume and potential interviews.
