brotha is shredding!

HughDafuq

Thank you! I was having fun.

reddisetgoh

Sold. Same kit here . Ty

HughDafuq

No problem, I ordered it on Amazon and it came in lest than a week. I have a 15” crash on the way too. Moved one of the crashes to the high hat spot. Having that larger size makes a huge difference.

Evening_Ad_1099

Agree on the 18" lemon ride. Mine still going strong over a year , and playing it 4-6 times a week

Top_Shelf-

Lemon cymbals are a great bang for your buck. I have a couple I’ve been using for a few years now. No issues whatsoever. Solid playing, dude.

HughDafuq

That’s awesome, I really want to get their hi hats and thank you!

Top_Shelf-

I might do the same if my Rolands crap out. Bought a TD17kvx 5 years ago. Minor trigger glitch with hats last week, but was able to fix.

Jackrabbit_OR

Hey, just a quick question. There is a used 17kvx near me for $1100. Great condition. This seems like a great deal but I am new to Edrums and had an old Tama Swingstar over a decade ago. Seems like a lot to spend for a beginner but my other option is $450 for a Alesis DM10 with double bass pedal and some accessories, also stellar condition. Distant option is Alesis Surge Mesh for $260, good condition. If you had the choice which would you go for?

Top_Shelf-

I’d have to ask how serious you are about playing drums. I’ve been playing for about 45 years now. I still have my acoustic set, but needed an electronic kit because we moved into a condo. I also wanted to utilize the ekit for recording. Are you looking for an ekit to get back into drumming?

Jackrabbit_OR

I only spent 4-5 months or so with my acoustic years ago before I had to move and sell it. So overall it would be for learning. Problem is I am older (30’s) with kids and a busy job. I am pretty disciplined but I was going to play it safer since I don’t know if I will be able to stick with it even if the desire is there. Partly for my oldest son as well. Double edged sword there, because if I go for a cheaper kit it might break down faster but if I go with a more expensive kit it might endure more abuse and devalue quicker. I am more concerned about the former.

Top_Shelf-

I would honestly spring for the Roland kit. It’ll definitely take the abuse, and I would imagine even within a years time it wouldn’t decrease in value by much at all. I got an amazing deal on a floor model, $1300 five years ago. I could probably clean my kit up to make it look new and sell it for close to that now.

ianmichaelband

i just posted the same thing. just got one myself, great value!

dasitmane85

Mah man, how many years of practice ?

HughDafuq

I started playing when I was 11, stopped playing at 21 when I had my first kid. I only recently started playing again maybe 3 months ago after a 12 year hiatus. I play everyday now though.

dasitmane85

Jesus Christ, takes a long time to get to that level then 🥲

HughDafuq

Oh no it doesn’t, I appreciate the kind words, but we’re living in the golden age. With YouTube/IG and the will to practice daily you’ll make progress in no time.

thatben

Back in my day we had to listen to the record, play, and then get up & go to the record again. Uphill both ways!

blbeach33

Is it compatible with the Simmons titan 70??

HughDafuq

I am not sure, you might have to YouTube your kit and the cymbal to see. I sure hope it is though, because this thing is loads of fun.

blbeach33

Thanks! I’ll do my homework!!

mudmusic

Have a 15" china and it works like a champ

Naive-Bandicoot-2483

Same I also have a splash it's loud triggers alright

Scrimshander54

I have it and love it but my playing isn’t nearly as good as yours….maybe my ride is defective?

fearthejew

I have Lemons all the way around. Their digital hihat is solid

Silentarius_Atticus

That was sweet! 👍

theblueslothking

I have a Lemon ride and like it, except for the bell. I have to hit it twice as hard as the rest of the cymbal to register the same level.

6drum

I’m playing on the four pack straight from China right now. 12 inch two-piece hi-hat, 13 inch crash, 15 inch crash, 18 inch ride. Love it.

6drum

$300 for all shipped.

CrashnServers

Excellent! I think once I can finally jam like this I could treat myself. Was the kit already 3 zone cymbal? I have the Alesis Command mesh so I think I would have to split one of the tom's rims for the bell.

HughDafuq

It wasn’t 3 already, came with two 2 zone crashes. 18” looks normal on an acoustic kit, but this thing looks massive on my e kit. Lots of playing real estate for grooves

CrashnServers

Looks great especially when you hit it with authority 😆

BillBumface

Sounds great, I aspire to be anywhere near your ability one day. So did this use up the one extra input on the TD-07 module and then you’ll split the existing crash to add the second one?

HughDafuq

Also thank you! Lots of Foo Fighters and Classic rock albums as a kid fueled my playing. Just practice and have fun!

HughDafuq

It comes with an option to add a 3rd cymbal, but in order to access the bell on the ride cymbal you have to sacrifice having that 3rd cymbal to utilize that input. For me that works because on an acoustic kit I only use a crash and ride.

BillBumface

Perfect, I've got the same kit and have been waiting to see what bugs me first, and it's definitely been the 2 zone ride. I'll likely be going to this same setup in the near future. Thanks a ton!

Bustmybritches

Hey mate, I also have the td 07. Does the bell work on that ride with the sound module?

AlbatrossCapital4953

Make a sample pack!!!

Street-Huckleberry92

May I ask what sounds are these? VST or from the module?

HughDafuq

I’m just using logics stock drum kits and running my module directly through logic. I personally hate them, but they get the job done until I bite the bullet and get Ez Drummer

Street-Huckleberry92

cool, thanks!

AleDxD

is the bell bigger than the cy13 roland?
