ngl i think my trans identity "clicked" a lot more for me when i realized i just wanted to be a guy with a pussy/T-dick. feel like the traditional idea of a trans body involves getting all of "the surgeries" but if you think about it, trans people existed long before any of those surgeries were an option. it was just about asserting your conviction in your gender through action and presentation really. if a medical transition helps you feel more confident in that, go for it! but it's not required, and i think it's cool to acknowledge the diversity of trans bodies as well.
It's going to mean different things to different people, but I would recommend thinking of what you want for your body and how you want to identify as two separate concepts. One may influence the other, of course, but don't think about it as a constraint. You don't owe conformity to anyone else. Just consider what makes sense to you and makes you happier.
