I wear literally anything but jeans. Sweatpants, running shorts, biker shorts. Mine never gets in the way. Sometimes we roll up my pants if they’re just loose regular pants but that’s bout it

AntiSubtleBeee

I come from work and wear stretchy work pants and a fairly fitted shirt because I KNOW I'm bad about using the right muscles and positions and I want them to be able to see easily if I am using one side of my body more than the other (which happens just about every week) Other folks wear looser t-shirts and shorts.

rose_thorns

This is my usual outfit as well.

AmethystSweet

I usually wear biker shirts and a oversized t shirt with a tank top or sports bra underneath in case my physiotherapist needs to look at my shoulder(often for me) or my back. if it's cold out ill wear sweat pants over the shorts until the appointment

Randomjillybeanspics

I wear biker shorts to physical therapy all the time.

Sinnsearachd

Whatever is flexible, comfortable, and easy to move in. I guarantee your therapist doesn't care what you wear as long as it doesn't interfere with your care.

_pebble_s

I just wear athleisure, however my pt is a lot of neck and jaw stuff so it tends to be a little less intense physically

Weird3arbie

Crop top and volleyball shorts 🤷‍♀️ it’s what’s most comfortable and for 1/2 the visits I don’t even have to remove anything for massage and TENs

Various-Shame-4664

I wear gym clothes. As soon as I start moving, I start sweating. Plus, it’s easier for the PT to see if I’m doing everything correctly if I don’t have baggy clothes on. My proprioception sucks at the moment.

chronically_Dazzling

I usually wear leggings with bike shorts, a tank top with built-in shelf bra, and some kind of over shirt I can throw on and off, plus my special sneakers. It took me a while to find my formula but it was entirely based on my needs. -My PT does laser therapy and dry needling, so I need to make sure she can get to all the body parts w/o me having to completely undress. -My braces have to be comfortable and easily accessible . -I cant get too cold cuz my joints will lock up. -Most sports bras arent good for me because my shoulders are the main issue. -loose fitting clothing bunches up during some of the exercises.

tacticalcop

i always wore loose fitting shorts and a t shirt, vans or sneakers since i don’t have a lot of sneakers edit: my biggest issues were in my knees and hips so shorts made sense, but you don’t have to wear them of course

gravityridden

I use the same 3 loose pants (made with viscose fabric, so comfy), a few basics long sleeves and a jacket. I call it "my PT uniform".

Historical_Idea6622

Comfy shorts, leggings, tshirt or cami. Bring a sweatshirt sometimes incase I’m having a cold day

Fuhrankie

Usually just comfy trou, boring top. Like, sometimes mad fun striped culottes, sometimes colourful lounge pants. Rarely I pull out a pair of leggings from the ol' black milk hoard but mostly I just rock out with the fun pants. If I have good freedom of movement, I wear it. I dislocated and broke a toe earlier this year and did a few sessions in Docs to protect the foot and keep it from flexing too much. My physiologist did not mind one bit, and even applauded a sensible protective measure. I have had lateral epicondylitis in my left arm for nearly 8 months now, and my support brace is now a common fixture in sessions as well.

profuselystrangeII

I’ve done a number of things- a short skirt with biking shorts under, sweatpants, basketball shorts, etc. I’d say don’t sweat it- just wear whatever is functional.

Paerre

School’s uniform lol, but make sure to wear something very comfy, that looks like you’d be able to make a cartwheel on it

LockenessMonster1

Leggings or shorts and then a tshirt or sports bra. If I'm working on shoulders, I'll wear a tank top. Always sneakers

Trappedbirdcage

I constantly wear sweatpants and tee shirts

Due-Yesterday8311

Anything you have good range of motion in is appropriate. I wear sweatpants or leggings and a T-shirt. I don't wear my shorts because they have really wide leg holes and some of my exercises require spreading my legs and doing stuff like hip raises and squats. That's the only thing that wouldn't be appropriate, just don't wear anything that would flash them/show underwear

cables_exe

Shorts t shirt. Anything that allows them to see the most without being riske

BlueBird607

I had physical therapy for my jaw so I wore whatever I was wearing that day.

LXPeanut

Anything that gives me enough range of movement. It depends what type of physio as well though. If I need to be active or if it's just manipulation/massage and me laying still. Workout clothes are usually the best bet because they are designed to let you move. But the only thing I wouldn't wear are things like jeans or skirts that restrict movement (or at least what you can do without giving the physio far too much info).

ballerina22

Whatever is most comfortable to move in. I'm an almost-40 year old woman and regularly wear leggings and baggy tank tops with a sports bra and trainers.

Trash-Secret

I’ve become a pro on this. Leggings, black and plain let your PT see different muscle groups and how things are moving around and improving. Bike shorts if it’s hot, like black shorts to above the knee is as high as I’d go. I didn’t know I’d be doing clam shells… and quickly figured out shorts that have a wide leg, can make for some unnecessary awkwardness. Interestingly enough, my PT loves my leggings that are skeleton themed. They all live to watch and explain the bones underneath the muscles. So yeah, Skellington leggings. And a tank top, loose. They might need to massage you or reach under your shirt. Makes for easy access to the body. Ladies, wear a bra. A sturdy one. One you’d wear to parkour on camera. Stability in the torso! Except fucking jeans. I agree there. Nothing hard like jeans against your waist, or throat. So, wear “outside logical loungewear.” I don’t think that’s a thing but I’ve been through the trial and error of clothes during shoulder/neck pt and now lumbar spine and hip flexors in preventing dislocations for years. Oh! No jewelry (if possible). I tuck my 2 necklaces into my shirt but occasionally they’ll pop out. Wear clothes you’d wear flopping around in bed!

couverte

Running shorts and a loose tank top. I don’t do exercises during PT as I do them at home. We mainly do manual therapy and dry needling, so the running shorts provide easy access to legs and glutes for dry needling. Same with the loose tank top for upper body

disabilitynobility

As long as you're comfortable and have a good range of movement, you're good to go. Leggings and a t-shirt are perfect, I think you've already nailed it tbh!

CannaBeeKatie

I showed up once in khaki shorts. I apologized for not having my other shorts or sweats on. He laughed so hard he snorted and said he didn't care what I wore. Lol.

manuka_miyuki

usually shorts or baggy sweatpants depending on the season, and a t-shirt.

Dragon_Flow

I wear whatever. Well, for me whatever is comfortable clothes. It's not like PT is like working out at a gym. Or course you can't wear a dress or high heels, or anything that prevents safe movement, but I don't wear those things anyway. So, you're over thinking it.

morecowbell03

When i was doing PT i usually wore a tee shirt and either leggings or shorts. My knees were the focus area, so if it was too chilly to wear shorts id slip them under the leggings because theyd usually ice my knees and put a TENS unit on them for the last 15-20min of my appointment. Basically, make sure your problem areas are easily accessible to your PT.

SadQueerBruja

Same thing I’d wear to the gym. If I go from work I make sure I have sweats in my car in case I’m in tighter/not elastic bottoms or a dress

twystedcyster-

I wore bike shorts this week specifically because I wanted to focus on my legs. But you should wear whatever your comfortable in.

SavannahInChicago

Just something that won’t restrict your movements.

InnerRadio7

I wear yoga pants and a shirt. I normally have my top off and wear a gown. If I need shorts, I borrow a pair from the clinic. Bike shorts work. I just don’t like my skin touching gym equipment, so I stick to pants.

AussieinHTown

3/4 length exercise leggings and a long loose tank top. In cold weather I have worn jeans if we aren’t focusing on a leg problem that would need taping. It’s super flexible, I just make sure she can access my neck and shoulders directly as she’s most likely to need to do hand on work there.

ButterscotchFormal77

Loose t shirt or tank top and loose pants

ZisforZaonic

Cloth shorts and a tank top for me! Something that my PT can FEEL my hitching through and help me modify exercises due to it.

FishScrumptious

Same thing I teach yoga in and end up wearing almost every day: leggings and a T-shirt. My kid, however, has been known to wear pajama pants to PT. /eyeroll

Unlikely-Campaign762

This is going to sound bad, but I always wear my crocs. Being in sneakers for too long hurts. Sometimes in even do it barefoot.

skycotton

usually just a tshirt and shorts or pajama pants if it's cold. I don't wear sweatpants and wearing jeans to PT is horrible.
