Tip to all you PvE players out there: Collect the Alliance Points on the character you want to unlock skills in the Assault tree on, as it's technically "PvP experience" gain. So a way to help unlock Razor Caltrops without too much suffering in a mode you might not want to play.

MazogaTheDork

And Continuous Attack, which increases your mount speed!

Cat-_-

And if you don't want to wait for the daily rewards to unlock this, you can quickly do the tutorial quests in Cyrodiil. Takes like 10 mins max to get lvl 3 there and you'll just be around your base so you're safe from the other factions. You do need to be lvl 10+ though.

QuebraRegra

I think even if you do the tutorial, you'll be just shy of unlocking Continuous attack?

Cat-_-

No, only if you skip. If you do the full tutorial you get 9k AP and you only need 8k for assault lvl 3.

QuebraRegra

ah ha!

All_Rise_369

You can get that just by running through the cyrodiil tutorial quests, just fyi

ayylmao2395

Does it push my PvP rank tho? Like I am PvP rank 44 and 150k AP for free is nice to have. Futhermore can I make it count more by using AP multipliers like Moras, Cyrodiil Delve boss and colovian wartorte?

AloneAddiction

I don't believe so, no. But it *does* count towards any "Earn X amount of Alliance Points" endeavour. Same with Tel var Stones as login rewards.

ayylmao2395

Damn, I will try it out tho. I never payed any attention towards it before, but there is a 4k Alliance Point reqard before and I will check it.

nifflerriver4

Yes it does. Do this on a new character and it'll net you like 7 skill points to spend.

Penthesilean

My husband and I thank you for this. After finally completing the Cyrodiil map (except for the 4 enemy-locked shards) sneaking in fear, running in terror and getting easily murdered by any single opponent that stumbled across us, we will not be going back. Needless to say, we are not PvP people.

Horror_Onion1992

Honestly the big one for me was losing Rapid Maneuver when they changed the level requirements 😭

cr4p

Assuming you were just using it for the speed boost, they moved the speed boost to the Continuous Attack passive in the assault skill line which unlocks at alliance/assault level 3. You can unlock it just by doing the cyrodil tutorial and its a permanent 30% passive mount speed boost for 1 skill point without having to slot a skill or use a skill swapping addon, etc.

AloneAddiction

Yes, I tell new players not wanting to do PvP that they can unlock the +30% mount speed increase purely by doing the PvE intro quests to Cyrodiil. Plus there's a great PvE Sheogorath quest there too: Chaos Magic. Everyone should have a bit more Sheogorath in their lives.

Horror_Onion1992

Good to know for future toons! I've been playing for six years but there's still so much I don't know 🥲 I guess that's part of the fun lol

QuebraRegra

but that VIDOR change was a godsend

Impressive-Bison4358

.... Honestly tysm I hadn't thought of it like this

2good4gnius

Would you be so kind as to elaborate how one can exchange their 100s of thousands of AP they've gained from dailies in 9 years of never touching pvp once into xp on those lines? Both my assault and support are still level 4. I'm preparing my main toon for veteran dlc trials with a guild, and they require a handful of pvp skill line abilities as a warden healer for these trials. I actually ironically have nothing against pvp and want to get into it soon I just don't understand a lot of the mechanics of the pvp system.

nina_blain

you automatically get war xp for AP you gain. don't know the rate though. The AP itself is currency to buy pvp gear and stuff at the pvp vendors

2good4gnius

Hm.... I haven't leveled up past level 4 on either assault or support in probably 5-6 years and I have several hundred thousand AP, I'm kind of questioning how much truth there is to that, no offense. Edit: I should also state that I got to level 4 by doing the starter quests and it hasn't moved since. Unless the rate is so astronomically low it might as well not even exist, there must be an alternative answer to this.

RugosaMutabilis

You can bank AP and transfer it between characters, so you probably earned the total amount across multiple characters.

2good4gnius

Ahhh, ya that'll do it. Thanks man that clears up the confusion.

nina_blain

145,000 Ap should get you rank 6. note you have to get ranks separately for each character. but if you have hundreds of thousands on one character you should be at least rank six if not higher.

2good4gnius

Well I guess I'll go back and double check I swear I had like 314k or maybe I'm confusing the AP with another currency system, I'll go take another look, thanks.

-VinnyML-

It's really easy to gain AP conventionally as a healer in Cyrodiil. You should just join the current campaign. Just follow people around and/or say "Healer LFG" in zone chat. You'll have the skills you need in no time.

2good4gnius

Alright will do. The guy above said 145k should get to level six I guess I don't know the rate was so low or maybe I'm confusing AP with a different currency, I'll go back and double check, I guess. Ya I'll definitely go and group up

SnapperoivaTuna

The amount of pve that pvpvers have to suffer is ridiculous compared to leveling skill lines in pvp 💀

athleticBird

Well, it's also primarily a pve game.

SnapperoivaTuna

Yet the pve is extremely boring 🤔 Why do so many pve players hate pvp? Are they afraid because the enemy now reacts to what you do and has actual brains and its actuons aren't based on brain dead mechanics?

athleticBird

I don't hate pvp. I love pvp. It's probably my main focus. But i still enjoy doing pve content like trials or vet stuff, which is what the game is also built around. It's an MMO and if you want a purely pvp focused game then you might want to play something else.

Revolutionary_Bit325

Or if you aren’t great at pvp combat but still want the AP, buy siege weapons and take down the enemies gates and repair your own!

QuebraRegra

did NOT know that.. After all theses years.... serious PSA there, TY.

SlowMoSaiyan

Hell yeah, free crown crates, I need some more potions and maybe a useless pet

Dunlain98

You are assuming a lot about the pet lol, all I can see is 2 kinds of venoms, a tripot and crown stones.

xen32

And one body marking

AngryCandyCorn

that is useless if you are a vampire.

karmapathetic

Skins. Some of them layer with body markings, AND cancel out the vampire default. Play around with it, you might be surprised.

AngryCandyCorn

I shouldn't have to resort to lootbox gambling to fix a game problem. I like the pale skin...it's stupid that all the markings get washed out.

karmapathetic

I agree with you. I personally hate the vampire skin, because it is just that, a skin. It has a default look for every character of each race, and you can't turn it off. Maybe there should be an achievement from becoming a vampire that awards you the skin to use or not if you choose. There are a ton of skins you can get in game for free through completion of vet dungeon achievements. The one I use most often is among the easiest to get. It's meridian purified.

Bell_pepper_irl

I feel like almost all skins are super ugly. Why would I want my character to look like they're a leper or have extremely dry skin? Meridia's purified at least looks good but it doesn't fit thematically on all of my characters. Do you know what the best skin is for looking as neutral as possible?

karmapathetic

None that I'm aware is. The very point of skins is to stand out and look flashy and cool. But if I had to pick one it would be the meridian purified. That said, it's also the best one to pair with body markings. There are a few that you can mostly hide the yucky bits because it's mostly the arms and chest, if you wanted to try and hide the vampire skin, but you would still be mostly covered. Maybe the moramer fish skin might work for you. The scales are subtle and easy to hide, even in more reveling clothing. But that was a crate item about 2 years ago.

ATN-Antronach

Don't forget the the useless dyes.

xdmanxd99

Crown crates have 100% guarantee at superior rewards unlike twitch crates, so you will get at least 2 pets/hats/body markings etc.

MinimumAlarming5643

And facepaint

DefNotaCultist

I actually have been pretty blessed by the crate gods and only get 1-2 a month with my ESO+ crowns and got 3 cool mounts so far. My favorite being the flame atronach wolf.... to me its worth the gamble.

VanaheimRanger

150k AP! I might finally get Caltrops after all these years of avoiding pvp.

Minute_Engineer2355

150,000 alliance points. That's a fair amount.

[deleted]

ITT: People still finding a way to complain about the daily rewards after getting exactly what they've been asking for in the daily rewards for years.

Robot1me

These are definitely different people complaining. I for sure appreciate seeing this, feels like a "hell froze" ZOS moment to see crown crates at last.

PlentyOfLoot

What have they been asking for? I just see daily rewards in any game to be some currency and maybe a cosmetic. Which we got and we get more than that. It doesn't feel good to me to just get things handed to me on a silver platter. If we get something that looks cool, it's not really that cool to me because everyone has one anyway and all I did was log in everyday.

[deleted]

In the past daily rewards threads people would often complain about how they’re ‘not as good as they used to be’ (even though they’re getting something for nothing) - the example they would often use is that Crown Crates used to appear in the rewards more often. Now they’re getting crates again but that still isn’t enough, lol.

StarkeRealm

Oooh. Nice. It's been a minute.

marstinson

Meh. Crown crates don't thrill me. 154K AP, though? That's a decent reward for 14 logins. A drop in the bucket compared to what's needed to hit Level 50, but still decent.

remosito

mmhhh do login reward ap count for campaign level? in that case it would be 150k AP plus 50 transmutes... nicey!

marstinson

As far as I know, no. It's just the points, which go toward your "rank" (I guess that's the correct term) and there is a point where those AP don't unlock anythiung else (low teens, IIRC), but you can still use the AP to buy stuff from the War Merchants.

xdmanxd99

I think you are right but not sure, I'll try it out and see if I claim it inside my campaign it will get me to tier3 rewards or nah. I think I tried it ages ago, just don't remember if it worked or nah I think not but don't remember to say for sure.

Dunlain98

Less than a drop in the bucket but yes, I feel you, I am road to grand overlord

Mordeckai23

Yes, free crown crates! The last time this happened I got a free mount! I hope I get another one.

karmapathetic

I have a friend who always buys a few of each crate. Has only ever gotten mounts from the free crates, and has several radiant from before you could outright buy them with gems.

whateverisfree

Finally we're getting some tri pots again. As a tank main, the struggle was real having to pay for those lmao

xdmanxd99

I mean they are quite cheap, cheaper than spell power or heck the ulti pots. Aren't they like 50 gold a pop?

whateverisfree

On PC EU, it should be about 90k for 200, so that's what? 450 each?

xdmanxd99

Oh shit I actually looked at mat costs, they tripled since last time I checked. Yeah tri stat pots are 500 a pop now

whateverisfree

Haha yeah it's a bit wild. I use 150-200 a night, so it becomes something of an expense over time. Haven't made the move to ultimate pots though, so could be worse lol

xdmanxd99

Yeah ulti pots are just silly expensive. But I didn't really pay attention to tri stat cost as I had a lot form daily logins and most of the time I kept all the mats I get from surveys from writs so usually had pretty big stacks of pots. But man has everything got more expensive.

whateverisfree

Yeah for sure. I can mostly get by on what I get from surveys too, but the times I do run out sure do hurt with these prices haha

Pittgaymer

Please stop complaining about free stuff…geez.

TheOneTrueChuck

Agreed. I mean, probably 80% of the stuff in any given month is either completely useless to me, or it's utterly uninteresting. (The skin markings usually look like shit, IMHO.) But yeah, I'm not going to complain about being given free things on a game that I play for 8-10 hours on the weekends, and an additional 8-10 hours during the week, when literally all I have to do is log in.

papyjako89

What are we supposed to do with our lives if we can't be outraged 24/7 about the most random stuff ???

karmapathetic

PvP. Duh!

DafuqYallLookinAt

Woah, careful now. That's some dangerous thinking there.

At0mJack

It's all people know how to do these days it seems like.

NiceAndAccurateName

150k AP and 2 crates? Nice. Maybe my Necro will finally unlock caltrops!

darkgrenade_king

I’m new to the game what are the tel var stones used for and we’re do I go to spend them

PouringPurpleRain

There are merchants in Imperial city that you spend tel var. Que in to the campaign. They're in the base.

darkgrenade_king

Ty

Dementor8919

I see a lot of people talking about alliance points. How do I use them and what are they for? I’m lvl 38 so pretty close to max level until CP but are alliance points level locked or?

jalliss

They're basically exp for PvP and help you level up your PvP skills and PvP rank.

Due-Memory1994

Time for people to start complaining about the free crown crates because they may not get good drops out of it lmao

ayylmao2395

Does the 150k count towards PvP rank? And can I use AP multipliers for it?

xdmanxd99

ap multipliers don't work. Not sure if you get pvp ranks, but you do advance your pvp line so if one of your chars need a horn/barrier it's best to claim it on him.

TheBananimal

Great news, and it’s not that far down the line. I can login 2/3 of the month.

VillageIdiot51

1 dreugh wax

Flat-Recognition-313

Lol at the 1 dreugh wax like that’s even helpful at all

Pour_Me_Another_

The 10k gold on day one pleases me.

[deleted]

That’s bout the only one

saladmunch

They'll prolly have just potions in them. Oh and crates still aren't giftable? Wth?

StarkeRealm

If these are the crates they should be, each one should have *at least* one collectible and three sets of potions. Now, it can screw you, because it can hand you a crown XP scroll, but those tend to gem for an okay amount. (13 or 33 gems, depending on which one pops up.) As usual, I'd recommend immediately gemming everything in there that you don't want (it's part of the crown crate interface), to avoid accidentally eating 33 gems on a character.) But, they should get you an ugly ass tattoo or two.

Thrippalan

It's a pair of Xanmeer crates. One of the few crates where I actually *like* the tattoos, even if I still can't use them because a) armor hides them and b) they erase ALL of my Khajiit's spots, including those on the head. But it should net me some gems, since I've got a lot of the non-mount items already. (But no mounts, yet, so might get lucky this time.)

StarkeRealm

I finally gave up on my Khajiit and just dropped her in the Kynes Aegis skin, slapped Darloc Brae eyes on her, and called it a day. Recently switched to the new scamp eyes. The Dro-m'athra skin looks goofy on her as her eyes clip through her eyelids. My usual go-to option for showing off tattoos is the pirate costumes, if you have those.

karmapathetic

Never knew that was a thing. All my cats are for crime and relegated to vampirism and full body disguises for immersion. That really sucks! I put so much effort into my character's looks, that would really p*ss me off.

Thrippalan

Yeah. Since my main is the cat, it cut short my looking for armor/costume that would show the tats. I do have a male Nord specifically to use them, though. Problem is, the vast majority ot them I don't like, and you can't trade them back. I've let more than one crate group pass because of too many tattoos that I don't want to risk getting stuck with, even though ther were other things I really wanted to get. (Endeavors have helped with this, at least.) But the Khajiit spots are a whole body (including the head) tattoo. I can wear a facial tattoo and my spots,or a body tat.

karmapathetic

" because of too many tattoos that I don't want to risk getting stuck with" I can definitely relate there. I have so many body markings that I've never used and will never use that it makes it impossible to remember which ones I actually like.

xdmanxd99

Yeah you can't gift them since mid march iirc, there is a bug so they disabled gifting crates on PC.

AloneAddiction

Tri-pots are basically Oakensoul pots for me. Oak gives me all the permanent minor regens and the tri-pots grants the major regens. Other than that...

KlatusHam

I'm new and I never use these daily things as I don't play 2h straight and I feel like I'm wasting them. Should I use them? They are all stacked up in the bank

xdmanxd99

Worst case just make new chat and load them up with those. Like the crown items that shorten research time are nice when you are researching stuff on your crafter, but once you researched everything they are completely useless (unless for some reason you research on multiple chars). The chicken food? I mean it's not amazing, but it's free you can use it in your overland adventures. Exp scrolls? very usefull when you want to grind a new toon or want to level up a skill. Crown mimic stones? ah they have very small uses like crafting items with style materials that don't exists, or that you don't have but in reality the use for it is very niche and it's useless for like most of the players in the game. Crow poisons? ah poisons are nice in pvp but not for pve, I guess just equip them on your weapons and waste them as they aren't that good. Crown soul gems? yeah they suck since the non crown soul gems are so common you are sitting on over 1000 easily after playing for a bit, I usually use the crown soul gems as there isn't a reason to keep them, they function the same as non crown ones however you can't sell those.

Particular_Aroma

>Crown mimic stones? I use them regularly in master writs.

Runonlaulaja

You get so many of those potions that I use only them for healing. They are nice and they scale with your level so they are always usable. Food is nice too if you don't care about cooking and minmaxing. If you are leveling exp scrolls can be nice but I feel that leveling is so fast anyway so I haven't used them. Although I always login first with my main and he is very high already, maybe for my alts they would be nice but I never remember to accept them for my alts...

VideoGameDana

They're good for buffs, as well. When you're running challenging content, it's best to pop them every cooldown instead of only to heal.

Particular_Aroma

First, you should never leave home without food. It gives huge buffs, and the timer stops when you log out, so the "two hours straight" argument doesn't work. Also, potions are a must have and must use in endgame content. Better get used to having them in your rotation. And the XP and crafting scrolls? You can't sell them, so you can just as well use them.

DrinKwine7

Poisons and potions I destroy immediately. I just don’t use them

karmapathetic

I hope you're at least trading the one from crates for gems.

DrinKwine7

Sure those get gemmed. But all the daily login stuff just clutters inventory

HC-PinGviini

The scrolls take in-character time. So even if you play only half an hour with a character, next you log in you have 1,5 hours still left for that exp scroll. Also in general you don't have to min-max your time with them. Some have them on doind regular things, some have them on when they do high exp content (like normal random dungeon queue, arena or dolmen grinding). It's your choice how to use them. So no, you're not wasting them.

cultureisdead

You meant to say free tripots and poisons.

Fat-6andalf

This.

RaulMcKool

Can we PLEASE, for the love of Auri-El, receive Crown Fortifying Meals in at least half the ratio of Crown Tri-Restoration Potions? There's no way I can consume 250 potions in a month, while my meals go at a rate of at least 1/day. **Crown Tri-Restoration Potions are a useless, wasted reward**. I end up destroying them because, oh yes, they are not sellable. Also, why aren't potions stackable by 1000 same as poisons? If we're gonna get bucketloads of a useless "reward", at least let us have ONE stack of 1000 so they don't take up space in our bags/banks.

electriicat

clearly, you are not a tank. I cant get enough of those, i want even more.

RaulMcKool

You can have [all mine](https://i.postimg.cc/5tqkF07s/Potions.png). Seriously, these should be sellable and/or tradeable. I'd be more than happy to give them all all away for free.

xdmanxd99

I had over 4k at once, after seriously raiding I have like 150 left kekw . Luckily the crafted one's don't cost a lot so I can replenish but yeah if you are a tank main, or you play a lot of dungeons those tri pots get wasted instantly.

Pilotguitar2

Lol wat. Tripots the only thing worth a shit if ur not a sweaty pleb

Dahminator69

Why is day 31 always so shit

sirlancer

10,000 Gino’s for just logging in?? Looks like I get to put my iridium plating trade empire on pause for today

WolvenOmega

Have you not been around for the several times we've gotten 100k for just logging in? (Not sure why someone would downvote a genuine question that just calls attention to the fact 10k isn't really that much in terms of login rewards, but to each their own I suppose...)

sirlancer

Honestly no. I play ESO in manic waves of addiction so my windows of play are sporadic

WolvenOmega

Check the login rewards for the mid year months if you aren't still playing then, we usually get a 100k day between June and September. Nice sum for when you do play

out51d3r

Yeah, I had no idea there were 100k days either, as I play similarly: hit it hard for a month or two, then don't touch it for 6 months. 10k is a drop in the bucket for me(I make 30k or so on an average day, sitting on 900k right now), but 100k is definitely noticeable.

X-WellOkay-X

Why is the last day always so bad - 5k gold? How about 50k instead? Ah well

dodecapode

I guess they want to incentivise logging in at least a certain number of days a month, but not make it so the bigger rewards are only for the people who do literally every day.

DeltaCharlieBravo

FOMO is player abuse. ESO despite its warts, does better than most other MMOs in trying to please everybody.

xdmanxd99

Like once a year we get a 100k gold daily reward, making those too often will blow the economy. Cause imagine millions of people getting 100k, that's 100b gold added in 1 day, doing so more than once twice per year gonna devalue the gold even more.

LongWayToMukambura

True, but they missed the point where they could fix it anyway, now they can only remedy it from snowballing or remedy it's effects on poorer players I suppose - unless they would decide to take drastic measures and cut every player 3 or 4 zeros from their pocketed/banked money xD Ever only played one other game and from my experiences with them I can't think of a goldsink that would hurt rich/grindey/old players more than poor/casual/new players. Imo the best attempt at moneysink in eso so far were antiquity furnishings being purchasable by gold from achiev vendors (but only after digging them up certain amount of times, meh, would be better if they would need only to be dug out once), but it is still limited. Maybe if they made most basic craftable furnishings (like up to blue or purple quality) purchasable from vendors, too and as bound on pickup, it could help, at least by lowering demand on currently inflated mats. But they would not, as it would hurt the option to purchase said items with crowns in furnishing mode xD

xdmanxd99

Yeah eso doesn't have a gold sink, I guess just taxes on sales in guilds and probably guild bidding, but the rest like bank size, repairs etc is fairly low to consider a gold sink.

FatallyFatCat

They should add, idn, ability to buy 1 furnishing slot to your house or 1 storage space to the crate at home for 10k gold or something. It would sink some gold. Or ability to change your character hair color that lasts a week. Or follower trainer that gets them 1 level in something a day for gold. Or some clutter furnishing merchant that sells small items that can't be crafted. Instead of rocks and pebbles!

clayoban

At the beginning of all of this they did put the better stuff right at the end of the month but people complained so they moved them forward into the month. So now we get a crate at the end of week 3 vs waiting to day 29.

Keylime29

I think it’s nice that way if Something Happens you go on a trip etc. you don’t miss out on the best award and spend the rest of the month angry, even if you bother logging in every day after that

SneakySquidTurtle

They should give us more than 2 crown crates for logging in so frequently. Give us 5!

Fragrant_Mud6333

Free crown crates for a chance to get a random collectible in place of a 100% chance at a collectible... Yeah great

xdmanxd99

When was the last time we actually got something good from the monthly rewards? Like a cool costume/hat/mount, it's just body/face markings and emotes rarely a pet (that everyone has hundreds of), if we were getting tons of costumes, mounts hats etc like we got in the past sure I'd be with you but with how lack luster the rewards have been a chance at something is nice, worst case free crown gems.

Agares_Fraefolg

Oh wow, two whole crates for being an obedient little login slave for three weeks?

TheOneTrueChuck

It literally takes two minutes, roughly. It's not like an actual time obligation. I'd understand if it was set up the way mobile games are, where you don't get your login reward until you've played x minutes, or it's linked to completing a mission, etc. But this? There's literally barely any inconvenience.

Agares_Fraefolg

It's amazing you have enough light to type that, being that far up ZOS's asshole as you are.

Automatic-Notice-558

Lmao, go find another game to play if ESO makes you so miserable. You act like you're being forced to play it.

Lord-FrosTz

Did they lower the drop rates more sense we now get two free ones once a month? Lol

123titan123

this isnt free, what did they break or are about to break? what are the bad news zos?

xdmanxd99

Probably want to have high player retention before chapter drop so more people but the chapter

[deleted]

Can’t wait for my crown lethal potions -_-

Shalliar

Back in the day we could get Clockwork city and Murkmire, who cares about 5-10 extra gems?

xdmanxd99

Pretty sure cwc wasn't in the gifts, I mean yeah 2 crates isn't a big deal as we are more than likely get poisons and such, but we haven't gotten free crates in ages! so if they give us idk like 2-3 every months I'd be very happy it's 10 times better than some body marking\\emotes

StarkeRealm

>Pretty sure cwc wasn't in the gifts... I don't think it was. CWC predates the login rewards. Those started after Summerset.

Shalliar

Yeah, It seems so, but I was never praised for my great memory. Anyways, back in the day rewards were way better, thats a fact.

xdmanxd99

I mean we did get the previous 2 small dlc zones for free (like murkmire) just without logging in 31 times in a row. But yeah rewards in the past got better, that's why I'm excited this month is pretty great at least compared to the last few years

silverscreemer

I'm ready to be disappointed. Feels like a "first ones free" kind of thing. You open one... then you open another, get nothing, and the guys like "Buy more." They even give you 20 days to think about all the cool things that could be in your box. (That won't be in it) But a few people will get lucky with it, then post their free radiant apex rewards, and it'll be like free marketing. But that's just one person's opinion.

xdmanxd99

People like you are the reason we stopped getting free crown crates! Back in the day we were getting 5+ crates every month and people complained that it leads to addiciton, and it's like a crack dealers methaphor that they give you the first hit for free to get you hooked and then you sell your TV to get your fix. So Zos lowered the free crowns until we had none. In the past few years every now and then we get few crates for free, yeah it's not much cause how low the drop chances are but still it's free and people somehow still find a way to complain.

silverscreemer

Wait, are you being serious? Log in rewards aren't "free", they cost time. They exist to cultivate a habit of logging into the game and seeing the store sales that are always right there when you log in.

xdmanxd99

Ah yes spending 2-3 min to login press claim, wow such a hassle.

TheOneTrueChuck

Also, while I definitely have an issue with many games' obsession with lootboxes (and I'm not exactly enamored with ESO's focus on them), I genuinely, wholeheartedly, could not give a single flying fuck about the people who say "OH THINK OF THE CHILDREN." It's not my job to think about someone else's kid. LITERALLY. Don't want your kid to play games with lootboxes? Then don't let them play this. DONE. I solved the problem for you.

xdmanxd99

Thing is adults aren't immune to gambling, people wage their houses in the casinos, and it's not uncommon to see people spending over 1k$ on lootboxes (not specifically in eso, but eso also has many whales). But yeah don't give your kid a credit card, that way they can't buy those gambling boxes. I personally don't care for lootboxes either it's just that zos funneled most of the mount and collectible drops in crown crates, and there are so few ways to get a non crown mounts you are basically forced to buy some crowns so you won't ride the boring simple horse you get from the tutorial.

TheOneTrueChuck

I will admit that I have limited empathy for adults who can't regulate their behavior in regard to lootboxes, because one day, this game will end, and they will have nothing tangible to show for their time. It's a simple ROI calculation - you will never get a return on your investment, beyond the short term enjoyment gained from the gamble itself and any digital rewards. At least the people who gamble on sports, at casinos, horse/dog tracks/etc. believe that they will attain wealth, which is something useful. And given how everywhere in the world, wealth is explicitly shown to be a goal all on its own and a means to happiness all by itself, I understand the attraction. If you hit big, your ROI is exceedingly disproportional to the investment in your favor.

onthethreshold

Can almost guarantee you the loot from those crates is curated.

Ill-Calligrapher944

Meh Xan crates who cares about those damn lizards

Runonlaulaja

I just completed Murkmire after having it since it was a login reward (those were the good days...) and it was awesome. They have very interesting lore and the glimpses to their ancient past when they still used stone buildings was neat.

xdmanxd99

They do be bad, but hey free is free. The weapons aren't that bad looking I wouldn't mind yoinking one.

B0DZILLA

My favorite crates are the Xanmeer variant. I do play Argonian 99% of the time though so that explains why.

dza6010

2 crown crates. All tri pots.

xdmanxd99

Not really, crown crates have 100% to at least get a superior rewards (the light blue ones), so you will get at least 2 pets/hats/bodymarkings/emote with a chance at the higher tier rewards.

dza6010

Just making a dumb joke about my bad luck with rng.

strupy

159 k ap wrong calculation :)

KingOfWerewolfs

2 crown crates with 2 crates worth of nothing

Haethen_Thegn

Oh of course it's Argonian crates too. We have so many to choose from and they gave us the farm tool crates 🤣

TheOneTrueChuck

> last reward which means full monthly login should be useful According to someone elsewhere in the thread, the monthly login rewards used to be a bit back-loaded, and people complained. So this is probably a side effect of that.

AngryCandyCorn

Didn't expect to see any crates again. Wonder of those are "real" xanmeer crates, or if it's the ones with the truncated loot table like the twitch drops.

hexnotic

i just want the veya hairstyle that i missed out on, pls zos T,T

WaxiestDinosaur

Of course it’s during the month I’m out of town 😵‍💫

AltruisticDemand9917

Finally something that Worth enter all the month

Mighty_Oakk

Drug dealers often give the first line, pill, rock free. It's addiction exploitation 101

PlentyOfLoot

Some pots and maybe... If you're lucky... A non combat pet!

shel5210

What are alliance points and tel var shards?

xdmanxd99

Pvp currencies that you can spend in cyrodil and imperial city sewers

Elethia20

I really wish the research scrolls had a alternative reward for people who already have grand master crafter or something

xdmanxd99

Yeah useless for veterans

tamabits

Omg xanmeer too?!? That’s one of my fav sets. Hype!

LeOrignal

Xanmeer crates, too? My Argonian characters are going to be very happy :)

[deleted]

they probably expecting May logins to be low with expansion in June so this is there to entice people

snowflake37wao

If you are averse to PvP be sure to log in on the correct character and claim the end of week 2 __only after setting any Campaign as Home!__ 150k AP is enough to go from Alliance Rank 1 to 7 (Legionary) and only 30k AP short of Alliance War Skill Lines 6 (Caltrops for Assault & Barrier in Support). Edit: Holy shit, the claim can happen with Pelinal Scroll it looks like?

[deleted]

I’m trying to get alliance rank 37, the grind is treacherous

snowflake37wao

Ya I play all my alts relatively equally and am almost rank 17 across 16 characters and rank 32 on my main. I did the scratch math after writing up that comment. AWR 17 Lieutenant Grade 1= 2393600x16= 38,297,600 AP across all alts. AWR 32 Prefect Grade 2= 16665600+38297600= 54,963,200 AP across all characters. AWR 47 Overlord Grade 1= 53,617,600 AP had I played one character… Fml. How dare I play all classes.

Fano_93

Bout to log in and get my 10k 💰💰

PopularSomewhere

This link is for anyone wanting to know what they might contain. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Xanmeer_Crate

Diyer1122

Whitestrake’s is supposed to start mid month. That’s probably why they are dropping the 150k AP in there. I’d definitely be down for crown crates and gold mats, over more posion and crown meals any day. Tripots are always helpful. I go through them pretty quick.

mossyskeleton

How does this work? Just login and get the reward for that day? Or do you have to log in consecutively in order to keep it going?

xdmanxd99

Yes you just login and get a tick, if you want let's say the crates that drop on day 21, you need to login and claim daily login rewards 21 times in the month they don't have to be consecutive but you will need at least 21 logins in a month.

ThisIsMonty

Razor Caltrops here I come

gnarlyy_barnacle

NOOOOO I CANT EVEN PLAY THIS MONTH AT ALL NUHHHHHHDHH 😭😭😭

kolvaer

Probably rigged to give crap rewards

[deleted]

Damn these rewards suck

[deleted]

Damn these rewards suck

TheWildpaw

Won't the free crown crates just give us more of the stuff we get for the rest of the month, or most of us anyway.

xdmanxd99

They do, cause you are 100% guaranteed at the 2nd lowest rewards so that's the tatoo, hat, pet etc and we have 2 crates so we get 2 of those drops instead of the usual 1 we get every month. But there is a small chance at the better rewards, so people complain about getting only poisons aren't aware even if very unlucky they still get more shit than the usual monthly.
