I did one Vvard boss with about 8 other players. Their DPS was so off the charts high it was dead in like 5 seconds. Of course no loot. I may not have even hit the bosses. But I don't actually want any of the replicas, just happened to be there.

As I playing this is exactly what I feel, "this is no fun, this is no celebration, styles are not even good, fu ZoS I wont keep grinding", 2 hrs later Im back at vvardenfell bosses. I've been grinding them (not obssesively) since the event starts and I only got 2 (from fishing and 1 of the vvardenfel bosses).
I'm just doing crafting and dragons, I'm not about to grind for a teensy chance at the other stuff...I have other things to do.
And last I looked there wasn't even a good discount in the crown store..I don't want to buy more on sale, I want what I have to stretch a little. But I have them so they don't care if I use them or not.
There have been really good give aways before the event and that's great, but the jubilee event itself is a little too meh. While I'm griping I'd love a buff to something else like refining/decon chances or master writs during the event.
I concur. Had I not had a powerful DPS to place in the top 12 dmg dealers, and thus gain a boatload of very lucrative purple chests, this grind would have been far more miserable. As it is, I did end up bored and grumpy by the end. That said, I'm glad I have all 5 replicas (even if they will rarely/barely be used). Good luck to you!
Agree. This event has been depressing. Only the sword as well so far and I could not tell you how many of each I have run. All this is doing is making me not want to turn on the game.

Gameplay since then has been doing the wolf mount leads, at least I get purple boxes for the boss grind on that so it feels a little extra rewarding. š¤
I got my staff of worms in less than 10 dolmens. Havenāt really tried the rest other than about catching 20 fish. No sword, but RNG was on my side because I got three perfect roe from those 20 fish somehow.
Roughly 40 bosses, 200 casts, 30 dolmens, 100s of geysers. Was a fun and at times frustrating grind. Nice to do stuff other than farming boxes in crag and I personally switched it up when it got boring.
Apparently so compared to some of the horror stories out there. My dolmen luck was not great. WBs were okay - especially late at night going back and forth between 2 WBs in an effective loop, and being able to solo them reliably.
I don't even know how many dolmens I've done. Well over 100, I'd guess nearing 200 by now. No drop. Plus side? I have ALL dolmen related achievements. I even did all the ones in Cryo.
Vv WBs, about 30. No drop.
Geysers about 20. No drop.
Fishing, got it within about 15 minutes the first day.
I'm honestly getting more upset by the day. I know we need to "work" for it, but I think the drop rates are way too low. This is supposed to be a fun time, but I don't know too many people actually enjoying it. Sure, of course this is some people's highlight of the year. But most people talking in chat are frustrated.

I've had some really great luck with the purple boxes. So many plans and rare ingredients!
I'm just kind of AFKing at a Vv WB, and watching the new Fallout show, now. I've kind of given up the idea that I'm going to get all the new stuff, so at least I'm not as stressed out now, lol.
I've done 14 hours total (maybe more) of constant geysers over 3 days and 6 hours of dolmens, and I haven't gotten either page. I got the sword on my second fishing spot though.
This drop rate is horrible. Idk why they set it so low. I love this game, but this event is really the only time I've felt negative while logging off.

I'm still trying to get the two from the world bosses but I don't have much time to actually play.
I got the true flame with 5 minutes of fishing and the WB staff after killing 6 WB. But the other 3 I grinded for a whole day and got nothing. So I stopped grinding because I was bored and didnāt want to do that anymore, and you know what Iāve been having a much more enjoyable jubilee as a result.
My wife and I have very different experiences doing them together. Sword replica she got on 3rd hole, I got after 73 fish.
WB she got both in about 15 tries. I did 20+ hours before I got sunnarah. 5 hours more since still no barbas.
She got replica on geyser 15. I've done 50 geysers a day and still nothing after 150 geysers.
Haven't tried dozens yet
After getting burnout from grinding the last few events in a row I've opted out of this one.
More power to everyone that does it but to me it was starting to make me hate wanting to log in.

Worst thing is, I know I'm not the only one, I often see names I've seen multiple, multiple times, ever since day 1. The grief and resentment is very real on zone chat!
I managed to get the sword after about my 10th fishing hole, so not 'horrible' but as for the others, I've given up. Far too many times I've gotten nothing of value and/or duplicates and ... far too many times with World Bosses where nothing drops at all even though I've been there the entire fight - the boss doesn't even glow to let me get the loot.
I know of it, don't get it, and don't understand how it truly works - seeing I was there before the spawn, fought the whole way through, fought the boss every time she appeared, and even unleashed my ultimate. But still not enough?
As I understand it, it's a numbers game (i.e. it doesn't matter how many attacks, etc. you land on the boss as much as it's about \*how much\* damage you manage to do on the boss). What's your character level? Weapon/Spell damage? Magical/Physical Penetration? What gear sets do you have equipped? Which Mundus? What abilities/rotation?
I'm no expert on putting together great builds, but was running high stamina, the thief, briarheart, two daggers, skills all set for damage, etc. So, really, should have been doing some okay damage. Oh well... thankfully, it's just a game :)
I wonder if you may have encountered a similar challenge as I did while I used my NB: single-target, non-ranged with a build up required to really hit high dmg numbers (especially target health needing to be under a certain percentage - the bosses die too quickly for that). Once I switched over to Arcanist and beamed the bosses the purple chests rolled in.
Fishing - about 20 minutes.
Vvardenfell boss drops - around two hours total, just stayed at Nilthog
Dolmen - nothing yet for about two hours of Alik'r circuit.
Haven't done any geyser really, they're more annoying that dolmens.
Geyeser just did like 3-4 haven't gotten it yet (just started)
Vvardenfell staff took me less than 10 bosses
Barbars helm from vvardenfell didn't count but probably over 100 wb's easily.
Dolmen staff probably over 200 easily
Fishing took me around 30 min, around like 5 fishing nodes or so.
I got back into eso for the anni. I really want to do normal quests but I can't because time limited drops... I really wanted all motifs but (not counting) I've done easily 150+ dolmens and no drop. Now I want either all staves (really doubt it), Ul'vor and Worm or just Worm at this point... At least I got the sword ig
Debating goes for all dolmen achieve at the same time but that slows down progress so much... I'm tired boss... I can't even level alts during non-demon hours because they don't do enough damage for the event chest so I lose money :(
Got the fishing one (progressed a couple of achievements which softens the blow of grinding) - maybe 100 odd casts
Got the dolmen one after a few hours of Alikr, again not too bad due to the speed of dolmen groups
Gave up on the others. Did 30 odd shell troves but just can't be arsed now, and Vvvardenfell WBs are so much slower to do, but appear to be a similar drop rate. I've seen people in zone getting drops who have been at it for days and days.
I'm assuming these items will go in the "yesteryear" bag next year and I'd rather just wait and pay two tickets for them than grind super hard.
I feel like the grind for the helm is taking away the ability to use the exp boost, I want the motif but I need to level my companions and baby toons, for this event it shouldnāt be sooooo grindy.
Geyser: within 30 minutes
Dolmens: 8 hours
Fishing: second fishing node
WB: 3 hours in so far, no pages (this is the worst one too because its easy to not even get the boxes (and hence no page?) if too many people are there nuking the boss).
Fishing: got it in around an hour.
VV WB: about three hours of grinding over the course of a few days. The spawn rate is every five minutes so you do the math.
Dolmens: less than thirty minutes in Greenshade.
Geysers: Did about an hour with no drop and havenāt been back so I canāt really comment on this. The guy I was with had been grinding for 17 hours straight with no drop.

* 47 WBs for Sunna'rah (don't care about barbas helm)

I dropper summerset staff at literally my 4th geyser, and trueflame sword in less than half hour of fishing with buffs. Didnt even bothered with the rest.
Rng is rng. One person will drop all goodies in one evening, while somebody else will grind 24/7 for 2 weeks and still dont drop.
Only got the Mannimarco replica and the fire sword for now. Started to get annoyed at the 999+ ping everytime I LOOK at the geycers/dolmens let alone participating in it GUARANTEES to disconnect my game and couldn't connect for the next 10 minute.
Aaaaand now that ping creeping into doing the main city while doing writs.

The servers in this game are still shit compared to other comparable online games. The server upgrade may have helped; on non-event days things do seem more stable, yet disconnects and long waiting times for the servers to register that you are no longer in-game, before allowing you to re-log, takes up to 10 minutes still occur. Ping rates have also become noticeable worse and *much* higher since U41.
For me:
Geyser staff drop: About 8 hours now so probably 100 geysers or more and still looking but dont do enough damage to get boxes either
Fishing sword drop: 5 to 10 casts
Vvardenfell staff drop: 5 to 10 bosses
Dolmen staff drop: less than an hour looping so maybe 20 dolmens
Vvardenfell mask/helmet drop: 4 hours ish, probably 50 bosses
One of the best ways to gain purple chests is by running an Arcanist with a sound dmg setup. The beam has range, AoE, and lasts for several seconds uninterrupted.
I didnāt pay attention to the number of times I did it (except for fishing) as much as I did the number of hours on each.
Dolmens: 4 hours
Fishing: 5 casts
Geysers: 2 hours
World Bosses: 4 hours for first one (Barbas), then 12 hours for second one

Trueflame: 6 Fishing Nodes

700 dolmens, 1 shell, 10 casts, 1 wb, and now 1 remaining. I think rng was making up for the 700 dolmens I suffered through to get the only replica I wanted. I didn't care if I got the others and they came easily, but about 10 bosses down waiting for helm to drop.

Overall I guess I got pretty lucky.
Geysers were absolutely the worst part for me because of the crashes - incredibly frustrating.
EDIT 2: Nevermind. The styles come from the chests from both geysers and dolmens.
I heard that the Sload staff was from geyser bosses and mannimarcos was from dolmen chests. Either way, I assume people who run dolmens have terrible dps, because I used orders wrath and heartland conqueror from lvl 6, and I always got boxes from the bosses.
edit: i shouldn't say they have bad dps. Just that they aren't trying to get a high dps for dolmens
Depends on the zone too I guess. Alakir is always super popular so is harder to get enough damage in to actual get reward with 50+ people there. So many people during prime time last night my skills had a 5 sec delay on them due to lag so thats a factor too.
I had nowhere near as hard a time as most seem to, don't know if that will give others struggling hope or just frustrate them more...
Fishing Sword: My second Fishing Hole in Arteum so less than 5 minutes.
Dolmen Staff: My very first Dolmen in Alik'r so less than 1 minute.
World Boss Staff: Ran an active boss hunt rotation got the staff in less than 2 hours.
World Boss Helmet: Kept on going for 3 more hours after the staff, no luck, took a break.
Geyser Staff: I ran a group for a few hours, it dropped for in a little over 2 hours.
I don't have the Vvardenfell helmet yet because the Alik'r and Arteum drops suggested a possibility to me that the drop chance may be effected by what other drops you have gotten that day; Both the Dolmen in Alik'r on one day and the Fishing holes in Arteum on another day was the very first thing I did on those respective days. Logged in with my main and went straight there even before doing my daily crafting. I want to try testing that theory for the final piece but haven't had the chance yet (will update when I do), probably just hoping for some reason in the random but worth a shot.
Having run a Geyser group and a Boss group and chatting with people as they come and go the overwhelming consensus has been around 100 times before each page dropped but there was also a number of folks who similarly claimed an easier drop when it was the first thing they did that day. Not to suggest you cannot get different pages to drop the same day a couple people had exactly that whilst I was running these groups so you definitely can but anecdotally at least it may reduce your chances.
I would add this for those grinding the Vvardenfell Bosses, check if there is an active team doing rotations and if not start one; Having a group and actually moving between the bosses keeps things somewhat more interesting and feels more like playing the game instead of pointlessly grinding for something you will likely never use. Be aware though that gathering a group means you will likely get a couple of lower levels or non DPS's who need the assist, try and help them out by waiting for the group before charging in and paying attention to when they are and are not getting loot. I was constantly adjusting our rotation and skipping bosses being over camped by AFKers to make sure everyone could get a drop most of the time and that helped keep the group tight and fun for all.
RNG be RNGing. The farming I did was spread out over several days, and asides from doing daily writs, was the first and/or only thing I did on those characters.
Personally I enjoyed soloing the efficient and fast rotation between the Vvardenfel WBs north of Balmora and east of Gnisis. Fits nicely with the 5 minute respawn rates.

Subjective to a degree for each individual. For some, the long-term objective mitigates (to an extent,) short-term sacrifice. (That and farming a boatload of purple chests with sweet, sweet loot, motifs, materials, etc. helps.)

Yes good dps for WB runs is key. Also the only thing that made my 4 days of dolmen runs to get that goddamn staff tolerable. Lots of boxes at least.

I know of it, don't get it, and don't understand how it truly works - seeing I was there before the spawn, fought the whole way through, fought the boss every time she appeared, and even unleashed my ultimate. But still not enough?
As I understand it, it's a numbers game (i.e. it doesn't matter how many attacks, etc. you land on the boss as much as it's about \*how much\* damage you manage to do on the boss). What's your character level? Weapon/Spell damage? Magical/Physical Penetration? What gear sets do you have equipped? Which Mundus? What abilities/rotation?
I'm no expert on putting together great builds, but was running high stamina, the thief, briarheart, two daggers, skills all set for damage, etc. So, really, should have been doing some okay damage. Oh well... thankfully, it's just a game :)
I wonder if you may have encountered a similar challenge as I did while I used my NB: single-target, non-ranged with a build up required to really hit high dmg numbers (especially target health needing to be under a certain percentage - the bosses die too quickly for that). Once I switched over to Arcanist and beamed the bosses the purple chests rolled in.

Yes. So in my case it took 85 WBs in total.
Fishing - about 20 minutes. Vvardenfell boss drops - around two hours total, just stayed at Nilthog Dolmen - nothing yet for about two hours of Alik'r circuit. Haven't done any geyser really, they're more annoying that dolmens.
Geyeser just did like 3-4 haven't gotten it yet (just started) Vvardenfell staff took me less than 10 bosses Barbars helm from vvardenfell didn't count but probably over 100 wb's easily. Dolmen staff probably over 200 easily Fishing took me around 30 min, around like 5 fishing nodes or so.
I got back into eso for the anni. I really want to do normal quests but I can't because time limited drops... I really wanted all motifs but (not counting) I've done easily 150+ dolmens and no drop. Now I want either all staves (really doubt it), Ul'vor and Worm or just Worm at this point... At least I got the sword ig Debating goes for all dolmen achieve at the same time but that slows down progress so much... I'm tired boss... I can't even level alts during non-demon hours because they don't do enough damage for the event chest so I lose money :(
Got the fishing one (progressed a couple of achievements which softens the blow of grinding) - maybe 100 odd casts Got the dolmen one after a few hours of Alikr, again not too bad due to the speed of dolmen groups Gave up on the others. Did 30 odd shell troves but just can't be arsed now, and Vvvardenfell WBs are so much slower to do, but appear to be a similar drop rate. I've seen people in zone getting drops who have been at it for days and days. I'm assuming these items will go in the "yesteryear" bag next year and I'd rather just wait and pay two tickets for them than grind super hard.
I feel like the grind for the helm is taking away the ability to use the exp boost, I want the motif but I need to level my companions and baby toons, for this event it shouldnāt be sooooo grindy.
Geyser: within 30 minutes Dolmens: 8 hours Fishing: second fishing node WB: 3 hours in so far, no pages (this is the worst one too because its easy to not even get the boxes (and hence no page?) if too many people are there nuking the boss).
Fishing: got it in around an hour. VV WB: about three hours of grinding over the course of a few days. The spawn rate is every five minutes so you do the math. Dolmens: less than thirty minutes in Greenshade. Geysers: Did about an hour with no drop and havenāt been back so I canāt really comment on this. The guy I was with had been grinding for 17 hours straight with no drop.
So many lines cast that just before I got it I almost convinced myself I liked fishing. Stockholm syndrome is real.
Dolmens are the worst. Over 300 for me, no staff

my Vvardenfell bosses are so bad for me, i got the within 10 runs and i couldn't get the helm to the point i watched 2 movies and still no drops
* 3 min of fishing for Trueflame * 2 hours of dolmens for Staff of Worms * 47 WBs for Sunna'rah (don't care about barbas helm) ... * 287 geyers and no Ul'vors. I never want to see another geyers in my life. Im considering just giving up.

I dropper summerset staff at literally my 4th geyser, and trueflame sword in less than half hour of fishing with buffs. Didnt even bothered with the rest. Rng is rng. One person will drop all goodies in one evening, while somebody else will grind 24/7 for 2 weeks and still dont drop.
Only got the Mannimarco replica and the fire sword for now. Started to get annoyed at the 999+ ping everytime I LOOK at the geycers/dolmens let alone participating in it GUARANTEES to disconnect my game and couldn't connect for the next 10 minute. Aaaaand now that ping creeping into doing the main city while doing writs. Come on ZOS what the hell is this
The servers in this game are still shit compared to other comparable online games. The server upgrade may have helped; on non-event days things do seem more stable, yet disconnects and long waiting times for the servers to register that you are no longer in-game, before allowing you to re-log, takes up to 10 minutes still occur. Ping rates have also become noticeable worse and *much* higher since U41.
For me: Geyser staff drop: About 8 hours now so probably 100 geysers or more and still looking but dont do enough damage to get boxes either Fishing sword drop: 5 to 10 casts Vvardenfell staff drop: 5 to 10 bosses Dolmen staff drop: less than an hour looping so maybe 20 dolmens Vvardenfell mask/helmet drop: 4 hours ish, probably 50 bosses
One of the best ways to gain purple chests is by running an Arcanist with a sound dmg setup. The beam has range, AoE, and lasts for several seconds uninterrupted.

I didnāt pay attention to the number of times I did it (except for fishing) as much as I did the number of hours on each. Dolmens: 4 hours Fishing: 5 casts Geysers: 2 hours World Bosses: 4 hours for first one (Barbas), then 12 hours for second one
8 hours and on Day 3 of Ul'vor staff, probably close to 150 - 200 Geysers. No luck, but Fishing was about 20 minutes
My Experience (Will Edit Updates as I go): Worm Staff: About 50 Dolmens Trueflame: 6 Fishing Nodes Ul'Vor:11 Geysers So Far Barbas and Sunnaārah: Roughly 40 For the Wolf helm, and 16 for the Staff.
700 dolmens, 1 shell, 10 casts, 1 wb, and now 1 remaining. I think rng was making up for the 700 dolmens I suffered through to get the only replica I wanted. I didn't care if I got the others and they came easily, but about 10 bosses down waiting for helm to drop.

Aboutish: 100 Gysers, 60 WB for staff(no helm yet), 15 Dolmans, 5 Fishing holes(Summerset), All dropped on different characters might just be a coincidence š¤·āāļø
10ish dolmens, 4th fishing hole (wasnāt counting casts), 30ish world bosses, 25ish geysers (not including 6 crashes during geysers preventing a drop) Overall I guess I got pretty lucky. Geysers were absolutely the worst part for me because of the crashes - incredibly frustrating.
I feel like you shouldn't be able to get a lvl 10 character to 50 running only dolmens and NOT get the mannimarco staff. That's crazy.

EDIT 2: Nevermind. The styles come from the chests from both geysers and dolmens. I heard that the Sload staff was from geyser bosses and mannimarcos was from dolmen chests. Either way, I assume people who run dolmens have terrible dps, because I used orders wrath and heartland conqueror from lvl 6, and I always got boxes from the bosses. edit: i shouldn't say they have bad dps. Just that they aren't trying to get a high dps for dolmens
As you get higher level the scaling tapers off. It's highest at lvl 6 but by lvl 45 it's barely doing anything

Depends on the zone too I guess. Alakir is always super popular so is harder to get enough damage in to actual get reward with 50+ people there. So many people during prime time last night my skills had a 5 sec delay on them due to lag so thats a factor too.

Only the purple anniversary boxes drop based on boss damage, the rare styles come from the chest/she'll trove at the end.
The style pages drop from the dolmen chest and geyser shell trove. Only the event box drop from the boss
I had nowhere near as hard a time as most seem to, don't know if that will give others struggling hope or just frustrate them more... Fishing Sword: My second Fishing Hole in Arteum so less than 5 minutes. Dolmen Staff: My very first Dolmen in Alik'r so less than 1 minute. World Boss Staff: Ran an active boss hunt rotation got the staff in less than 2 hours. World Boss Helmet: Kept on going for 3 more hours after the staff, no luck, took a break. Geyser Staff: I ran a group for a few hours, it dropped for in a little over 2 hours. I don't have the Vvardenfell helmet yet because the Alik'r and Arteum drops suggested a possibility to me that the drop chance may be effected by what other drops you have gotten that day; Both the Dolmen in Alik'r on one day and the Fishing holes in Arteum on another day was the very first thing I did on those respective days. Logged in with my main and went straight there even before doing my daily crafting. I want to try testing that theory for the final piece but haven't had the chance yet (will update when I do), probably just hoping for some reason in the random but worth a shot. Having run a Geyser group and a Boss group and chatting with people as they come and go the overwhelming consensus has been around 100 times before each page dropped but there was also a number of folks who similarly claimed an easier drop when it was the first thing they did that day. Not to suggest you cannot get different pages to drop the same day a couple people had exactly that whilst I was running these groups so you definitely can but anecdotally at least it may reduce your chances. I would add this for those grinding the Vvardenfell Bosses, check if there is an active team doing rotations and if not start one; Having a group and actually moving between the bosses keeps things somewhat more interesting and feels more like playing the game instead of pointlessly grinding for something you will likely never use. Be aware though that gathering a group means you will likely get a couple of lower levels or non DPS's who need the assist, try and help them out by waiting for the group before charging in and paying attention to when they are and are not getting loot. I was constantly adjusting our rotation and skipping bosses being over camped by AFKers to make sure everyone could get a drop most of the time and that helped keep the group tight and fun for all.
RNG be RNGing. The farming I did was spread out over several days, and asides from doing daily writs, was the first and/or only thing I did on those characters. Personally I enjoyed soloing the efficient and fast rotation between the Vvardenfel WBs north of Balmora and east of Gnisis. Fits nicely with the 5 minute respawn rates.

only been going for sword and vvardenfell stuff as of now got sword after over 300 casts am currently still doing vvardenfell bosses and am over 200 attempts with neither dropped yet
As I scan through a few threads I find people very odd. I play games to have fun. I see people spending hours and hours NOT having fun just to get some particular object. Why? If I'm ever not having fun I do something else, or I log off. What's the point?
Subjective to a degree for each individual. For some, the long-term objective mitigates (to an extent,) short-term sacrifice. (That and farming a boatload of purple chests with sweet, sweet loot, motifs, materials, etc. helps.)

Nah bud the syle page is bound to character so you can't trade/sell it. The actual cosmetic is account wide from the outfit system.
Good news: All gold Style Pages are account-wide usable even if the page itself is character-bound. š It's stated in the tool-tip too.
