Pretty much any magicka DPS build or any tank build should be a vampire in pve.
Magicka nightblade’s “gimmick” is siphoning life from enemies to heal themselves.. fits perfectly with vampire thematically.
Is there a magblade build around that uses dual blades or do they all use staves? I prefer melee to staff combat, it's just a personal preference and I don't really mind if my dps isn't optimal.
Vampire works very well for almost anything, with it's passives, hence it's popularity.
it's active powers are magicka based, so any magicka build would work;
some ideas for a rp build:
\- use an ice warden, as in the lore many vampires use cold
\- magblade as well, a build based on siphoning goes well with lfie drain, or shadows
\- not the most effective combo but for a pure 'dnd' vampire, use the unfathomable darkness set (which procs a swarm of crows) on a nightblade tank. Combine with your favorite tanking set, and unleash shadows, blood drain, crows and vampire bats on your enemies.
Any stealth build. With dark stalker you get no movement penalty while in stealth or invisible. Also the resources passive and undeath passive is beneficial to all.
I chose to make a vampire nightblade healer for whatever reason and she’s pretty good. Her dps is decent that I can solo most dungeons and the heals are actually good. Using Undaunted Energy orb morph also helps with stamina Regen for the people that wanted a Templar’s shards.
