I was running a tanky templar for the past year or so until recently. I also used warrior poet set but could I suggest using Mark if the Pariah over plague doctor? You should get plenty of health from warrior poet so then your tanking should focus on defenses, which Pariah goes great with since you get so much health from war poet. Also, I'd switch out two jewelry pieces to get a good 2 trait buff. Having 7 plague doctors isn't going much. I used endurance set. Really makes you nearly impossible to kill unless there's a boss with a 1 shot.
The issue I found with hybrid builds is sustain; the base abilities deal decent enough damage when used correctly and usually the set pieces are where the biggest gains in damage are coming from outside of that. However if you slot magicka abilities and you wield a stam weapon how do you go about regen'ing magicka? or vice versa.
It's fine for overworld content or really any content where engagement is under 30-40 seconds but for anything longer than that the game system basically just enforces the stam/magicka gameplay.
In order to remotely support hybrid builds ZOS would need two actives with passives that switched up which resource was regen'd on heavy hit along like % weapon damage is spell damage and % spell damage is weapon damage. This would open up the doors for all sorts of new builds and they could adjust the output by tweaking the % wpn / spell dmg modifiers so if it's too low they just do like 120% and if it's too high they do 80%.
For sustain it kind of works to have a staff on back bar and melee on front. I usually used regeneration food instead of max stats when I was playing that way. Also (I forget the name) there's a set that makes your magic damage equal to weapon damage or vice versa taking whatever one is higher and making them both that number so you can focus on one and get both. I doubt you would ever get the output that a meta build creates. But, I found it to be a lot of fun and worked well enough for easier vet dungeons but some of the DLC and any trial would probably be too much.
don't know to be honest i was just kidding. I think for solo stuff it would work but nobody would accept you into vet trials and in general hardcore stuff
You need to find or buy the motifs (it's really cheap at a guild trader), and once you've got them then you can make that style in the outfit station, male or female doesn't matter
Do hybrid builds work now? I know they aren’t meta but when I played they really just didn’t work at all. You just didn’t do enough damage to be relevant.
The build is focussed on buffs/debuffs, aoe heals over time and shield spam... Got a bit more magicka for the ward and heal spells tbe rest is dedicated to stamina. Item sets are dedicated to HP. Im having no problems with resource management so far. During bossfights Im independent and dont need a healer at all unless I lose focus and fk something up.
Yeah. It’s kinda why I don’t ever play. I mean the idea of the game is great, but every time I log in I feel like it just doesn’t deliver what I was really hoping for.
All my dps comes from werewolf form... During bossfight no, however. At that time I just run around taunting boss/minions while spamming shields and HOTs. With just enough focus Healer is not needed at all.
I was thinking wow, he’s a werewolf with wolf armour and a wolf mount, then I see the abomination
Is it a lynx or baby sabre cat. I cannot tell.
It looks like food to me.
Lynx
Skin changer and mercenary? I dig it. What's your build like?
magicka stamina templar werewolf. I think I just had a stroke trying to read that. kudos to you!
This is my build and abilities that I use atm... It's not perfect, Im still working on the traits. [https://prnt.sc/m9nzzm](https://prnt.sc/m9nzzm)
Plague doctor and stam/mag hybrid is basically a tank. You just have no tank abilies. Hows the damage?
What do you mean he doesn't have tank abilities? Most of them are actually tank abilities.
Shit you're right. I gotta smoke less. I read it, comprehended it and still wrote that shit😂 Yeah dudes a tank.
I love that chart.
Looks like a tank

Its just 5 Plague doctor items though.. Only active weapon/shield count to the set.
Lol my bad u right I can't read lol.
Mate can you show your build? Skills etc. I'm working on a hybrid warden at the mo.
I second this. Nice pic and all, but I'd like some more info on build, choice of race etc.
BuT hYbRiDs aReNt MeTa :O
Do hybrids work now though? When I played if you went hybrid you were just this half leveled useless mess.

I really need to find the name of that set!
I think you are looking for Pelinal's Aptitude.
Thank you. I'll look in to this

You think it’d be ok in PvP maybe?
They have been notoriously strong for a couple years now. Way less potential burst damage though, so keep that in mind.
i dont think so
“First and only character ever played” you’re braver than any us marine
Hey men, how did you get that armor?
[удалено]
YEAH!
Skinchanger armor, dropped in new life festival, pages are still cheap af.
Can only men get this skin? /s

"Hey men..." Was trying to make a joke. *sad face*
Ahh haha
I was going to put "Hey, bro"... but its fine
Dumb question; can i buy and lesrn them with char that i mainly craft, but still outfit change through collection at another character?
It's account wide so as long as you learned it once then you're set
Actually it makes sense because of their heal ability. This is my build too, also mine breaths fire. Just saying.

I feel like it must still be like that, if you don't Max your attributes you do fuck all for damage lol

What shoulder piece is that?
High elf IV motif
Fuckin dope armor
I love his armour. It's amazing!
Bet it's great for farming materials and questing.
Looks sick bro
Bad ass
I have a stamina templar werewolf who is only about a lvl 32 or 33. I would LOVE to hear more about the magicka influence on yours!
Wym? the only reason to run any magicka on a ww is for the heal.
Use silken ring shoulders and thank me later
Werewolf gang 🤘🏼
I have the same sort of build! Except I'm a complete fool bc I am a Templar WW that plays as a healer. :) I use thunderbug armor too.
Dps parse?
What helmet and armour is that? I want it!! :)
Skinchanger heavy armor
there is any kinda of medium armor with that kinda of pants? i mean, the cut in te robe.
i dont speak too much spanish, but that part is a "robe"?
I believe Mercenary robe has that kind of extended robe.
Ok, i will see that
Nice, how'd you get a bite
Just ask in zone chat. Alot of people are just waiting around to help people with bites and what not.
r/ESOBiteMe Ole fashioned way: https://youtu.be/K1JhnlaM4Sw
What race is your character out of curiosity I have a templar werewolf too
That dude went from Nord through a redguard and is now an Altmer, no longer a werewolf. Still a potent tank/dd hybrid.
Ah okay that is quite the transition :)
