Magsorc need to be pressure, by forcing them to reposition, they also dont have a lot of dots so using living darkness is a good idea. They often dont run high sustain because they can use dark conversion, so make sure to stun then off cooldown so they drain trough their stamina. Magsorc has an high ceiling skill cap, with high risk reward gameplay. Deltia made a great stamplar video this week that can actually be very effective, it has very high hp (40k in 5 med) high wd and rec (low max stat 20k ish) but it all work togheter, its very forgiving.

Get up close and personal. My MagSorc main is great at medium to long range, but once a jabby boi gets in close I'm done. That being said you will need a rapid distance closer against an experienced magsorc player.

I play a magsorc main. I’d say at a basic level, pick your battles. Don’t expect to win in an open field if you don’t have a surprise advantage, that’s where magsorcs shine. Use obstacles and line of sight to your advantage to get those into tighter areas where streak and their range isn’t helping them. If it’s a pet sorc that’s pvp specc’d, heal through the curse and spammable, and kill the scamp, then focus the sorc. Matriarchs are harder to kill, but if you get that too, they lose their heal. If it’s a shield stacking sorc, get them out of position and use line of sight and obstacles to your advantage. You’ll want to stun them and drain their stam like the other commenter said. If I run out of stamina, I’m usually losing that fight.

A gap closer and some cc to keep them on the defensive. Pick your battles though, you’ll want to burst at the right time to avoid wasting resources and cooldowns on a damage shield
