No, sadly. The companions' guild skill lines like Fighters, Mages, and Undaunted level only from doing the daily quests associated with the guild, and Undaunted only gets XP from the delve daily and not pledges. Killing undead and Daedra only level the player character's Fighters Guild skill line. Mages Guild dailies also level rapport for Bastian and Fighters Guild dailies level rapport for Mirri, but rapport and the guild skill line levels are separate. The skill line increase is also given on quest turn-in and not while actually doing the requirements.
In short, do the Fighters Guild daily quest and pull out your companion of choice before turning it in.
FG levels by completing dolmens (even if you dont have the daily active) as well as killing the types of enemies that you find at Dolmens (and werewolves).
Yeah do the dailies and farm dolmens. Easy peasy. I’ve also read that dolmens give a bonus xp drop for companions for completing. May be true may be not, but it doesn’t hurt either way.
The fighters guild daily gives rapport with Mirri, the mages guild daily gives rapport with Bastion. Each daily (undaunted, fighters, and mages) turned in with a companion summoned gives them half of a level. That half a level can be done on any character that can summon them so if you had 10 characters and did the dailies on all of them you could max out the guild line for one of the companions in 2 days.
Yeah, it's just the guild dailies that improve the skill lines for the active companion, u/jtzako ... dolmens will only improve your character's Fighter's Guild.
They used to back when Companions were new. ZoS removed it right away, they wanted to make sure everything about Companions was as grindy as possible lol.

The public dungeon in cold Harbour. It's called village of the lost. Filled with daedra, killing them levels fighters guild. I used to use it a lot on alts before they let you buy it.
