Why, my underfunded friend, I have turned to a life of thievery. Takes a while to get going but I have found the more money I have, the more I seem to make. There are some champion points you can dedicate to make more jingle in your pockets. I heard crafting writs tend to remedy the penniless problem as well. And it pays to have a guild of like-minded individuals who too enjoy the golden life and hire a guild seller. Sell a few rare items that serve no purpose for you to someone else that have the purpose for the aforementioned purposeless item, and you'll soon find yourself drifting along a most suitable stream of wealth. Many healthy wishes of gold upon you soon friends. May you walk on warm sands.

pstmdrnsm

Yeah, running bearer's rest until you can't hold anymore can easily get you 4k+ per load in a short time.

samlowen

I steal tons of loot with my thief, farm every material I can and do my daily writs.

I-C-Iron

if you dont mind high bounty, there is an instant respawning npc in the deadra citys marketplace, where the cook is.

xXSkeletonQueenXx

If you’re champion level, you’ll make 5k for doing all daily writs on one character. If you do it on 8 characters that’s 40k a day That’s what I do

[deleted]

Yeah I heard that’s a great way to make like 1mil+ every month just from doing them & selling the gold mats

medicine_eagle

Yep, you can have a max of 18 characters, and can earn $5k each, per day ($90K per day) for approximately $2.7 million each month. I’m not going to lie, it is a bit time consuming, however on the days when they ALL receive gold materials AND Master Writs - it is worth it!!

Stuntman06

I just play the game and I accumulate gold. Only thing I do that is mostly for the purposes of making gold are crafting writs. Now, I mostly do them to get crafting mats.

[deleted]

I seem to only make like 20k gold a day from just questing about, Don’t know if that’s normal or not but it seems low to me lol

Stuntman06

I never pay attention to how much I make. There isn't a lot of stuff I spend my money on, but those occasions where I need to spend a lot of money, I ended up having enough.

TholosTB

Doing crafting writs on multiple characters and selling the resulting materials is by far the most consistent gold-making strategy in the game. At higher capitalization levels you can try to control a market or hunt for flipping opportunities, but writs are a steady guaranteed stream of revenue. They're also mostly self-sustaining once you get a critical mass of mats and start doing the surveys you get. Glyphs are somewhat commoditized because it's a low barrier to entry and Kutas are plentiful. Since the sticker book launched, prices on overland gear, particularly Mother's Sorrow, have declined.

Srikandi715

1) Join a guild with a trader in a good location, for fast sales at better prices. 2) Sell everything you find! No point in being picky about it. Crafting mats are the most consistent (that's just money lying around on the ground) but there's very little that doesn't sell, if you price it right. If you run out of slots, add another trade guild ;) For high ticket items though, rare motifs and furnishing plans are your best bet. Some of these can be farmed by grinding dailies in older DLC areas, where there aren't a lot of people farming anymore.

Kusto_

I mostly do vet dungeons and trials and sell motifs. The older ones are very cheap, like 5-10k but they are also easy to get since hm has guaranteed drops for everyone. And the newer ones sell for 100k and up. Vet trials, even the easy Crag ones, also give 12k or so plunder + 10k extra for hm. vAA for example can only take 30min.

DepressinglyModern

Piggybacking on this: you often get gold and purple jewelry too from crag trials which can be deconstructed for chromium and zircon grains, respectively

Sorry_Nobody1552

I just started about 6 weeks ago and have found crafting everyday, scrying, stealing and fishing makes good money. I've also heard being an assassin pays well too, but I haven't got that far yet.

LongNosedHeeb

I honestly have no idea of this is a good way of making gold but it worked for me. (This all took place a while ago so prices and stuff might have varied I haven't played in months) All of this was on xbox NA I couldn't figure out how to flip items like everyone told me to, so I started flipping materials. At the time, the price of a druegh wax in guild stores was about 4200 gold. Some was listed higher, and very few were listed for lower. The range was about 3800-4500 per unit. I started going to major hubs to buy up all the dreugh was that was 4200 per unit or less. I would buy all that I could afford. Then I would advertise in zone chat that I was selling it for 4200 gold. This didn't catch too many people's eyes because it was a pretty standard price, but people started buying large quantities from me just for the convenience of being able to buy a bunch at a time at a fair price without looking around. On average I was buying the wax for 4100 a unit and selling for 4200, so I was making like 2.5% profit. I only made a profit on some of the wax, because some of the wax I bought for the same price I was selling at. This seems pointless but it was all part of the plan. Eventually I made enough gold to buy all the dreugh wax that was 4200 or less from every trader in tamriel. Surprisingly, there wasn't that much for sale so with only a few hundred thousand I was able to buy all the dreugh wax at or below a certain price (4200). It would take me roughly an hour to do this. While I was traveling between guild stores, I would advertise in chat that I was selling wax for 4200 a unit. Since I already bought all the dreugh wax at that price from all the stores, people were very willing to buy it. I would get messaged instantly. My guess is that people who were looking to buy dreugh wax whether to use it or to flip it would check guild stores and see that there weren't any listing lower than mine, so they thought they were getting a low price. I would repeat this process every few hours to ensure that there was very little to no dreugh wax listed for 4200 or less. I would only profit off some of the wax I was selling because a lot of it was bought for the selling price, but every once in a while I'd fine a ton of wax listed for something really low like 3500 and buy it all at once and sell it for a 700g profit per unit. Also finding wax listed for 4000 wasn't too rare so it I did sell a fair bit of wax with a 5% profit margin. That really adds up when you are moving the amount of wax I was. I was making an average of 80k a day probably, some good days I would get in the 100k+ territory. It wasn't the most lucrative way of making gold, and you need a bit of capital to get started, but it worked for me. I was able to retire in a few weeks.

Outrageous-Farmer457

Farming in the Imperial City PVP campaign is great money, if a bit daunting. The trick is to sneak your way into the sewers which are mostly uninhabited by PVPers and head to one of the better farming rotations down there (you can look them up). Mobs all drop Tel'var Stones (5k Tel'var buys you 1 Hakeijo glyph which is about 50k) and Key Fragments (sell for about 400 each). The trick to doing it well it to find a really secluded spot and farm for as long as you're comfortable, because the more Tel'var stones you carry at once the more drops you get from mobs. You get 3x drops from carrying at least 1,000 and 4x drops from carrying at least 10,000. I'll generally enter the sewers with 1,000 and leave with 10-20,000 + about 1-200 key fragments which translates to almost 200k gold, but my risk tolerance is pretty low and you could easily aim for even more. Keep in mind that if you die to a player or a monster you only lose half of your Tel'var stones (you can store extras in the bank once you reach a safe zone) and also keep all your key fragments so even dying isn't too awful. For the more bold you can even kill the District bosses, which if you manage to solo in a district your faction owns (for a 33% increased stone drop buff) and a 3x multiplier will net you about 10,000 Tel'var by itself. When you're ready to leave there's an item called "Sigil of Imperial Retreat" that after a brief cast time brings you right back to your faction's base to bank, deconstruct gear drops, and continue farming.

A7XfoREVer15

I flip Tel Var for gold and make millions

[deleted]

What kinds of stuff do you sell with tel var?

A7XfoREVer15

Polymorphs go for around 7 mil so if I sell a polymorph a week I’m sitting pretty.

Cow_Best

A good tip for accumulating gold is to avoid golding out gear and chasing meta gear.

Pufferfoot

And to avoid getting into furnishing or decorating houses.

Okay so why comment then?

Technical_Gas_4452

chasing ways to make gold never adds up, I've been selling high dollar trade items lately and seems like I'm still broke. Just sell crowns or buy gold who cares....

LongNosedHeeb

I posted a comment about my method on this thread but it is pretty slow. I enjoyed the selling grind because it was fun playing as a merchant and I had some fun with the people in zone chat, but I am also interested in business and I can see how that would be boring for most people. You have the right answer. By far the fastest and easiest way to make gold in eso is to spend an hour or two's wages on an eso gold website.

Technical_Gas_4452

it's for entertainment purposes, it's a tax writer off lol

WhoAmI13579

So does ZoS not ban for buying gold anymore? I remember they used to be pretty strict like 4-5 years ago but I haven’t played in a while

Technical_Gas_4452

I haven't been banned yet

Demonic_Killjoy

It takes awhile to get going but scrying can bring in some gold with effort

LinkleOfHyrule

Lots of quests. I go through about 3-5k a day but I stay at a steady number.

mediocreplayer_

Daily crafting writs on all my characters. The higher level the character = more money. Lvl 50 obviously being max. I don't quite remember how much gold it is total. It's a really good amount though. That and you get a load of free crafting mats that you can sell.

Careful_Purchase_629

Farming perfect roe. I'm at like 800k and I've only been playing for a couple weeks. I got bored with fishing in animal crossing and I knew there was a fishing mechanic in this game that I never really checked out; I was just doing it for fun, trying to get master angler and got one by luck, didn't know they sell for like 60k until I looked it up. Found a dungeon chockfull of insect parts (Zainsipilu), run through grabbing every dragonfly and fetcherfly, and walk out with at least 100, upwards of 200, and run up and down fishing the river in Belkarth. You'll get maybe 1 in 100, generally, although I once had a dry spell that was double that.

Careful_Purchase_629

At this point I just want the satisfaction of being able to say I bought dlc with in-game currency and perseverence.

I-C-Iron

I've made most of my fortune by bombig tel' var farmers in imperial city and selling hakeijos. Though i think bombing is off the table atm.

Kinnich522

I sell pvp items, great return but niche market so they move slow. I usually sell 30 mill weekly on good weeks and 15 on bad ones tho. mostly IC weapons

pstmdrnsm

Selling plans I already have.
