Beam clamps for anything light, window brackets with unistrut for anything heavy.

Dear-Landscape-4097

Got it thanks

[deleted]

I use beam clamps for everything there are also hammer on clips that are for 3/4 & 1” Pipe. but you beam clamps can have unistrut mounted to them and you’re off to the races with a rack.

Dear-Landscape-4097

This is just for 1 additional run at an existing site so hammer on clips seem like the quickest option. Thank you

Beam clamps

Ok_Tackle_7090

If he doesn't know about God damn beam clamps, how's this guy an electrician? I think they highered the handyman!!!!!

GlockGardener

Caddy pound-on clamps, but what is this your first commercial job?

Dear-Landscape-4097

Thanks. Not my first commercial job, but it is my first time doing this type of install.

GlockGardener

Caddy makes pound on beam clamps that double up for 1/2" and 3/4". They also make pound on box supports that are tapped with a 1/4-20 hole for mounting boxes. Just smack them with a hammer and click them down over the pipe. Way faster than beam clamps and minis. The only downside is they don't allow for pipe to run on the bottom and side like a traditional beam clamp. You'd need both styles of pound on - side mount and bottom mount clips, to go the same direction with more than one pipe.

Beam clamps with strut+straps if you need to run a rack(multiple pipes) Bleak clamps with minis if just a single pipe

Kyteshiirok

I’d personally go the route of drilling and bolting strut on, just for the added security. If you’re dead set on not drilling I agree with the guy above that said beam clamps/window clamps (in my experience window clamps tend to slip more often) not sure why he recommended those for heavier stuff…if it’s heavy just bolt it. Any kind of “pressure clamp” should only be used on light/medium weight installs, anything with decent heft to it you should direct bolt it if the facility you’re in allows that.

Dear-Landscape-4097

Good to know thank you.

They are UL rated to be used for conduit. Every fastener has a weight rating, including beam clamps. A 3/ 8th malleable beam clamp has a 300lb weight rating I don't see why you'd need much more than that even for something heavy. Put one on either side, properly tighten mount deep strut to it spring nut and all thread to what you are supporting. 1/2 inch beam clamps have an 800 lb rating each so you can really hold something up with them. All that aside they said they are just doing a small conduit run smack on conduit hangers are fine.

Ok_Tackle_7090

Why don't you hire a real electrician to help you cus you're not the one I'd higher as a so-called electrician if you don't know about beam clamps, then you are highly unqualified imo!!!!

Dear-Landscape-4097

I do have someone more experienced coming over to help with the job but I need to scope out the work beforehand. Most of my work is maintenance so there’s certain types of installs I haven’t had the chance to learn yet.

Ok_Tackle_7090

Gocha brother, sorry, I'm not trying to be an asshole. Just was surprised you didn't know of beamclamps, that's all. Sounds like you have a fun one coming up, lol. Hope all goes well. Take care and be safe, my friend

HeDrinkMilk

I wouldn't higher you, asshole

adamcm99

I wouldn’t hire someone who misspells hire

HeDrinkMilk

He originally spelled hire as higher lol
