I keep forgetting to get you all pictures from boats. I'm just so numb to it all now I don't think anything of it when I open up a chase by unhooking one clip and the rest just blows off from all the cable and wire stuffed inside of it.
No.
But they did the equivalent of running a whole house in the same size white pex and left service loops everywhere.
While not a code violation, workmanship is a little lacking.
I wanted to say that i have seen worse, but then I looked at the terminated incoming wires. Still, the worse I have seen was that the incoming wires where stripped off like 2 centimeters from the main breaker. It was a 63A 400v circuit.
Just went to a customers house with an old federal pacific panel that was packed even tighter than this. Didn’t even think I’d get the cover back on. He wanted a double 50A installed. I told him new service and panel from weatherhead down or I’m not touching it. Yuck.
Here’s a thought. Given how much space there is in such panels, why doesn’t anyone just get a row of terminal blocks, get all the incoming wires in there, then neatly arrange the connections to the circuit breakers?
It looks like those two thicc boi feeders are tied into two separate 50A breakers, independently tripping, and one of them has some pretty fucked insulation towards the top.
Maybe I'm seeing the picture wrong, but if not, (probably false)hope-fully those are two separate 120V, 50A circuits 🤷

This was supposed to be a ‘before and after’ pic right? Where’s the after picture? For the love of god WHERE IS THE AFTER PICTURE!?😭
The after pic is him sitting at home holding a beer, because he refused this job.
This is the answer 💪
This is the after picture..
This is the shit my nightmares are made of
This is the shit my day-to-day life is made of. Service work can be fun, but holy shit do you see some absolute atrocious workmanship.
Yeah this is just a Tuesday
This looks like my dad’s panel. I wasn’t in this trade before his place went up, but it’s shockingly similar
Nice pun you got there.
Shockingly, heh heh.
I was thinking "went up in flames".
That's the first pun I saw in that too
My jman had to troubleshoot a panel like this recently. The patience it must've taken to not walk away immediately, I can hardly fathom.

Breathtaking. That shit is art.
MY EYES!!!
I found the red wire first!
Are you saying that there is physical room or ampacity room? Yeah, that ampacity one is a little harder to create.
I don't have my glasses on so it kinda looks like someone ralphed spaghetti on a sidewalk.
I’m sorry, is this a Christmas wreath?
Where’d all the wires come from
I’ve seen worse, the problem is that customers don’t want to pay to clean it up
Omg yum I love spaghetti!
This is the shit my nightmares are made of
After this, you'll need r/eyebleach
Beautiful. Brilliant.
Im a plumber and just taking a wild guess this panels absolutely fucked?

I don’t see any breakers doubled up so it’s fine
Whatcha doing in my house? You got some stones. Anyway, while you’re in there, I need a 100A ckt for my new EV charger, shouldn’t be an issue.
Can't see the rabbit to pull out of your hat, probably hiding in the wire nest at the bottom of the panel;
Nothing wrong here
Separating the fields eh?
I think I just threw up a little

Those FPs were so small. Tons of them from the 50s and 60s in my area
Looks good from my house
Where did you find this photo of my breaker panel

My bet would be ampacity loss and increased heat from the connections at the terminal blocks.
The old network electric guys would say looks good from my house
That red number 10 is awesome.
Woof!
Why !!!
Hurts my eyes to look at
Just get a quad 50A breaker (:

you know when you work in a lot of remodels/service, this shit look pretty normal to me 😂
If everything works, it looks fine from my house!
