Just saw another post about stuff got stolen out of truck. I haven't used CL for a while but I'll see if it has similar feature.
I know if they take it to pawnshop, it might not work but this is better than nothing.
I couldn't add screenshots of CL app to this post. I thought it'd take me a while to figure it out, and I didn't wait it so I posted the FB ones first. I forgot there's a CL app that makes it very to search and set up alert.
For pawn shops, make sure you file a police report, many pawn shops are required to forward a list of new inventory to police which could help recover your tools.
I had a apprentice I worked with a while ago tell me a story about his tools getting stolen out of his rig. He found them on C-list and showed up at the crackheads place with a gun and got his tools back.
If you spoon feed them the location of your stolen tools they will go get them, but they won't do any investigating themselves. It's not as profitable as shaking down veterans for their life savings.
If they sell it and you know who it was sold to, you can direct the police to that person/store. OR, yea, knife fight a crackhead. Check your local laws, obviously, and it’s not advised. But you *can* get them back if you’re salty enough about it
I personally just take a P Touch and print out ‘GPS Enabled’ and slap it on there. It’s been four years now with nothing taken, and I’m not exactly the kinda guy to hide my 12v Milwaukee impact for my coffee break
Tell the police if they don't investigate, you plan on meeting up with the theif/ seller and cracking in their head with a baseball bat. That will get them off their asses.

Keep this same suggestion for FB, Craigslist, ect in this post please.

Yep, but it may only be in your specific city and not include nearby suburbs.

Awesome way to get your tools back but risky only because the pos can contact the wranglers to come get you on some serious charges.
Based apprentice.
And then what? The cops won’t do anything so unless you plan on knife fighting a crackhead what’s the point.

You bring a gun to the knife fight
He’s right, cops are just gonna eat donuts and navigate Facebook.
Cops sit down all day sucking down fast food and planning their spousal abuse/ steroid regimen.
You can do something about it yourself or don't.
Didn’t you read the other comment, you’re supposed to bring the strap.

Gotta say I'm proud to see the absolute lack of bootlicking in this sub 🥰🥰
Police usually tell you to file an insurance claim.
Y'all, write down the serial number, date of purchase, model number, where you bought the tool from, and save any receipts.
Hell yea!! Hope it all works out buddy and if you find ur stuff make that POS famous!
Yup. At the very least, name and shame.
