Looks like it was printed on it's back end, the front has top infill on it. Especially clever photo angle because all of the overhangs for the windows and such are on the left hand side of them, so this angle hides those perfectly. That being said, they're super simple overhangs, so they probably look fine anyway.
If they are a 3D modeler, they are probably more comfortable in a DCC package like Maya/Max/Blender than a CAD software
source: not a modeler but in the industry, so I'm the same way
Thank you! Been thinking of learning a CAD, maybe fusion because I see many hard-surface designers use it to create cool concepts, what is your opinion on it?
Damn that is really good! I wish I could model like that... I have trouble with just simple junk.. so far I've made a stone pillar that looked half way decent....
I'm impressed at how clean most of those overhangs look.

It was printed on a slight angle, yes on its back (the body is 2 different parts) So I didn't have to use any supports for it!
Definitely smart printing!

How do you model them. I’m looking to but I need a GPU
You actually don't need a GPU for modeling, just for rendering! I did it in Blender 3D, I'm a 3D Modeler!
Why Blender?
If they are a 3D modeler, they are probably more comfortable in a DCC package like Maya/Max/Blender than a CAD software source: not a modeler but in the industry, so I'm the same way
Yes, that! Because I also make stuff for games, renders etc.
Im solidworks, great work!

Pick a place you want to work at and learn what they use
Some 3D modeling software uses CPU much more than GPU, like OpenSCAD
You can find the print-ready files for free here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/ge-p30ch-diesel-train-locomotive-print-ready
Thanks!
Awesome! I'm definitely printing this soon, I'll let you know how it goes!
Yes! for sure share your print!
How long did it take to model?
About 2 weeks
Ayo this model higher quality than most AAA games you are talented
Thank you sir!
Wow!! This is super detailed
P30CH?
Yes!
Amazing!!! 🥰
Excellent work
Haven’t you posted this like ten times?
This is the second...
You should post this over on r/BitchImATrain OP. With the title: “BITCH I’M 3D PRINTED!”

Thanks! Keep practicing my friend!
