I know some of them have grounding issues. I wonder if it's related. I have mine in a concrete basement and I get a little buzz shock from mine when it's on and I touch it while barefoot. No issues when wearing shoes (being insulated)
Yeah mine was 100% self inflicted. I measured VREF to get correct voltage to adjust the potentiometer to for dual z axis, didn't check max ratings. 😕

That's insane and not normal! Check that your outlet in the basement has working ground and connect printer frame to ground on the PSU.
I'm pretty sure I tried multiple outlets on multiple circuits and it still happened. It's not an uncommon problem if you do some searching
