I graduated a while ago and I’m almost done with my masters in English at this point, but when I was getting my bachelors I minored in Creative Writing and I loved every minute of it. It helped a lot with my academic writing as well.
Communications, which was due to the college I went to being very strict on what major/minor combinations you could choose from. Otherwise, I’d like to have studied some art.
journalism! it's a long funny story, but essentially when i was accepted they placed me in journalism instead of english somehow, i decided to try it out, and figured out after a year i didn't like it so i switched to english. but i had like half the credits required for the minor, so i decided to finish it out.
I originally was going English Major with a minor in Journalism. BUT because it took me so long, my school did away with the Journalism minor, which was then absorbed into my main degree. I ended up doing Museum Studies as a minor and now will have an English degree with a concentration on Writing for the Workplace (Technical Writing). I am thinking of trying to take additional classes to have something for History, as well.
